Unfortunately, I had a rather underwhelming experience at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. I, a Jewish man who was passing through Hegins on a Sunday morning, was interested in checking out the church while hoping for an eye-opening experience into the Lutheran lifestyle. The thing is, I got the exact opposite. I walked in and wasn't welcomed, despite Lutheran Christians often promoting how welcoming they are to outsiders who are curious about their distinct sect of Christianity. Overall, I do not reccomend Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church to any resident of Schuylkill County or any passer-by for that matter. 1-star.
