Double Play Sports Bar

Excellent food for a reasonable price. Sandwiches and appetizer were delicious and perfectly cooked. Fresh cut fries were a tasty bonus. Waitress was cute, friendly and quick. Overall a great addition to my list of most visit places.

I only give honest reviews if something is not right I'm not afraid to speak my peace.
However I give credit where credit is due and I just ate the best sub I've ever had from the double play .
I bought the smoked turkey capicola and it was out of this world.
I highly recommend trying this sub it's sensational if you like a little spicy.

If you are looking for a place to eat, particularly if it's late, this is a good choice. There is lots of room for improvement in the atmosphere, but the food is good, and the price is reasonable. Service is very good.

Went there for the Mothers Day buffet. What a spread! The food was fantastic and plentiful. Well worth the price. Looking forward to our next visit.

The staff was friendly and attentive. Covid safety measures were prevalent, but not intrusive. Staff members were clear in their explanation of the restaurant's rules for proper compliance for the safety of all patrons.

Always a great place to stop for a beer, food or both. Staff is always kind and food is very reasonably priced. From Stacy, Jim, PJ, Amy, Gail, Olivia, Patrick, Michael, all the staff is awesome.
My personal suggestion for food is the Sicilian melt, Roasted red pepper capicola sub, taco salad, hot cheese balls. My wife likes fresh cut fries but I like brew fries so use your own judgement there. All the food is solid though, we all have our favorites.

Cozy neighborhood feel with bar games and many TVs. I went right before the MLB Home Run Derby ‘21 and had their 2 Hot Dog special (one fried and one grilled). Both of dogs and the fries were superb. Bar counter was clean and staff was friendly. Definitely recommend if you need a brew in Oil City!

Wings were excellent and fresh cut fries are like going to the county fair (be sure to ask about adding bacon and nacho cheese to them!) Our server was a peach and the beer was cold, what more could you really ask for?

My opinion, the best casual dining restaurant in Oil City. I have never had a bad experience at Double Play. Clean tables, courteous and friendly waiters/waitresses, excellent (and some unique) food. The Sicilian Sandwich is my favorite, but also their spicy wings ROCK! And, above all, prices are very affordable. I highly recommend Double Play.

Had a friend who used to DJ there and when I make it back from Florida every 5 years I stop in and have a couple beers. Small town big bar.

Dog friendly. Best rueben. Wait staff super nice. Our adult child has been eating Ruebens weekly. In their opinion, this is the best Reuben they have had all summer. Also, a wonderful establishment/city to work on service dog training.

Great burgers and salads. Always gets my order right. Very friendly staff. Fast service. Great service... Cooked for us even when the kitchen was supposed to be closed. Highly recommend dining here

Recommended this place by friends. Told me the wings were good, and they weren't wrong. Reubens were great, fries were great, and as stated, the wings were fantastic. (Try out the Henry's, they're spicy but great). Service was great, and the place has a great atmosphere.

I try and stop in every time I go to camp they have great food and awesome wings. I love hot wings and if you aren't afraid of a little heat ask for the henry sauce on your wings. It's not on the menu but it's a delicious blend of heat and taste they are my hands down fav.

The space is much larger than I was expecting and we'll lit. Local sports team decor and a myriad of tvs are on the wall. The food was wicked good (toasted sourdough bread on point) and the service was fast and friendly Everything you could want in a local watering hole
