Wow, as others have noted you have to open an account to get your cash bonus.

OK, no biggie, but then I found out all checking accounts have monthly fees associated with them like One Deposit Checking which is $9.99 month. So you will be charged a fee unless it's waived. Who does this in 2022??

I don't want to call this a scam, but let's call it sneaky and underhanded. If this bank was the only bank in the world then you bite the bullet, but today there are hundreds of options where you can park your money for "free" so this bank is completely irrelevant.

Customer service seemed friendly, but that's not enough to stick with them.

Staffs were unprofessional and annoyed

Horrible customer service. The girl Nayali or whatever how you spell her name because she refused to give me her card. Was rude. Unprofessional. Wouldn’t allow me to get my debit card made, when other branches do it. She said why don’t you go to the one then” as if this branch was too good for my service. I am closing my account and everyone I know as well.

I can list way too many reasons why this probably is the worst bank in America. After setting up the account was an absolute nightmare in person here (we only did it for the bonus money - now you know WHY they have to hand out cash to get customers) things seemed to be going OK because we only use the account for a couple monthly items and do everything online. Well I used my debit card at a citizens ATM, put my PIN in ONCE correctly and selected my cash amount (which was no where near the limit or my account balance)....the machine said “unauthorized action” and “card being retained” and ate my card! So I was left with no cash, and no debit card. And when I asked why this happened or how I could avoid it when I called Citizens the next day to replace my card, they said it can do that sometimes and I probably typed my pin in wrong or too many times, which never happened.

Was lied to made me close one checking account to open another with fees, Now I have accounts that have fees on checking and Mac uses. I was grandfathered in and should not had to do any of this.🤬🤬🤬

I would not recommend to do business with Citizen Bank specially, this branch employees are so useless all what you get lies and excuses.
