Roy Lomas Carpets & Hardwoods

I’ve had only positive experiences when dealing with Roy Lomas Carpets & Hardwoods. They installed all of my flooring when my house was new 23 years ago, replaced my carpeting in living room and dining room with hardwood flooring in 2007, and recently replaced all of my hardwood flooring as well as vinyl on the first floor of my home. The installers were diligent, professional, and courteous every step of the way. My interactions with every single person from sales to scheduling to installation to customer service and beyond were professional, courteous, and customer service oriented. I can’t say enough good things about this company and would not hesitate to hire them again for flooring selection and installation. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Roy Lomas Carpets & Hardwoods.

My Mom has been carpeting her house for the last couple of years, sections at a time as she could afford it. This time around she hit a snag. The carpet she has installed in the rest of the house is no longer available. The sales team worked very hard to help my mom find a suitable match that she was happy with. The installation crew was incredible. They were quick, and efficient with the install, When they were done they cleaned up so well you could not tell they just installed 3 rooms worth of carpet. An Excellent Job and a Totally Pleasant experience all round.

My carpet was long overdue for an upgrade. I’d forgot how comfortable and soft carpet used to be. I headed over to Roy Lomas, and was greeted by Mark who was friendly and knowledgeable about the different brands they carry. After going back and forth a little, we made our decision and placed our order. Working with the office staff was very much like being at home. Easy going and enjoyable. I felt like I’ve known Jeannie in the office my whole life. I just love her! Our carpet was ready quickly and delivery only took about 2 weeks. Our delivery day was on a Friday and we got lucky and had 3 installers. John, BoB and Josh. Really great guys. Funny, professional and again, easy to work with. Just in casual conversation, I found out that these installers like many other Roy Lomas employees have been working there for a long time. They talked about how it’s a family owned business that really takes care of its employees and customers. And I have to say that made me feel like I made the right choice by going with them. Installation was fast and of course it was beautiful. Words or pictures can’t describe those feelings. After walking on discolored and flat carpet for so long it was just what we needed. Great customer service! Years ago we went to Roy Lomas for hardwood floors and recently we went back to them for carpet. They have great selections and pet friendly options. Mark was very patient and professional! Jean in the office was very helpful and efficient! The installers were respectful and did amazing work! Our floors make our house a home!

Had kitchen floor and living room carpet installed. Everyone from the initial visit to store to look at samples to completion of both projects was excellent. Workers arrived on time and jobs completed ahead of estimated time. Will definitely use again.

I chose Roy Lomas after my neighbors used them to replace flooring in their home. They did a beautiful job and I couldn’t believe the price! I went in April’23, installed May’23, am writing this review in July’23 and I have to say I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mark (Sales) was very candid and honest. He could’ve sold me a more expensive carpet, instead he listened to my needs and sold me exactly what I needed. JK and Bill installed it throughout my entire second floor, plus two staircases, and did a beautiful job; you couldn’t ask for two more genuinely nice, hardworking, and professional men. So, in my experience, from price, to quality, to customer service, I am so glad I went to Roy Lomas! Thank you for making this an easy and enjoyable experience.

Excellent sales services and install service. I would have them come out again and highly recommend Roy Lomas. Mike was my installer and he was fantastic!! Highly experienced, sociable and came prepared. It was a bit of a drive for us to the showroom but worth every minute!

9/9/22 Thank you, Roy Lomas! My two pieces of damaged furniture were picked up yesterday, taken to a professional furniture repair business, and returned today - looking beautiful! I really appreciate Roy Lomas responding to my concerns about these two pieces of furniture and having them repaired in a prompt and professional fashion. Excellent customer service after installation.

UPDATED REVIEW;
Roy Lomas offered to send my damaged furniture to a local professional furniture repair business. And, a new step-nose is being manufactured to match the wood in my floors. I appreciate this! Will keep you posted.

MY PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Three things. 1) Keep an eye on the installers. The carpet installers damaged two important pieces of my furniture when moving them around. I called Roy Lomas, assuming they have insurance for this type of thing, and someone came out a week ago to look at the two damaged pieces, but he has not followed up with me yet. I have paid in full in good faith that they'd get back to me, but so far, they have not. 2) I moved all my fragile items, valuables, personal items, lamps, etc., out of their way (as they request) and into my bathrooms. I closed the bathroom doors. When I went to check on things midway through the job, I discovered they had Opened Those Closed Doors and jammed a piece of their equipment into one and two large pieces of furniture into the other. They ask you to remove fragile items so they won't break them, but then they invaded that private space anyway and put my items in jeopardy by shoving things into those bathrooms (when there was plenty of room to store them elsewhere while doing their work). And 3) regarding my hardwood installation. I have a step-down living room. The "step-nose" - the piece of wood that is used on the step - is not the same wood as the floor. My floor is maple; the step-nose is stained the same as my maple, but it is not maple but a very roughly grained wood. They ordered a replacement, it came in the same way. The manufacturer does not bother to create a step-nose in the same wood as the floor and apparently nothing can be done about that.

We contracted with Roy Lomas to install hardwood flooring on the entire first floor of our house, which had been 50/50 carpet and hardwood. This was a big job; the installers moved all our furniture including some large office pieces, ripped out the old flooring, and installed the new flooring and shoe molding. John (not the correct spelling, I think) and his crew completed the work in less than the 1.5 days we had been told to expect, and they did an incredible job. These guys are hard-working, skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work. John came up with some nice, innovative solutions to finishing the floor abutting a brick fireplace and some built-in oak cabinets. We love the new look, and John and his crew left our house beautifully clean. I highly recommend them.

Major positive experience over the years. Again, on most the recent work. Nothing but huge professional expertise, integrity, and attention to detail. Cannot recommend them enough. Keep up the great work!

Had vinyl installed in master bathroom one week ago. It was done quickly and looks great. This makes two bathrooms, a laundry room and the kitchen done by Lomas. Next up is carpeting for the master bedroom as soon as the virus allows shopping again.

All of the bedrooms now have new carpeting thanks to Lomas. The installers were professional and did each room efficiently. The price was reasonable, also.

Just got laminate flooring in the living room and dining room. It looks great. Thanks Lomas.

We haven't purchased from Roy Lomas *yet*, but after shopping around for carpet for months, and having TERRIBLE experiences with Empire and other larger corporations, we wanted to leave a review. The gentleman that helped us was very kind, patient, informative and up front about cost. Looking forward to scheduling our new carpet installation soon! :D

Ryan was patient, knowledgeable and responsive when helping us select our flooring. Caesar and his team were friendly and professional when installing and did a fantastic job. My husband and I would highly recommend Roy Lomas.

Bought a couple of carpets, we love them! Great company, very friendly and helpful! A shout out to Bob and Lou for all their help over the past week for their understanding and help! These carpets they helped us decide on are top notch, American made...not the junk they sell on websites. Will do business again, Love your company and store!

They installed carpet on my stairs, 2nd, and 3rd floors. (a) 5 stars on sales. Rob, the salesperson, was very instructive in helping through the selection process. Because I received large samples (14" x 17"), it helped me in making the right color choice. Samples were promptly mailed or made available to me. Other competitors I interacted with do not offer this level of follow up or sample sizes. (b) 4.5 stars on install. A few of the stair steps had to be repeated due to gaps. The crew protected my 1st floor with padding or plastic sheeting as they worked on the floors above (c) 5 stars on customer service. When I raised a couple of issues by email, I received a call back within hours, and the issues were resolved to my satisfaction. I am very happy with the carpet I picked, and how good it looks in the house.

shopped around - seriously, at least 10 other vendors, and could not beat the deal we got from Roy Lomas. Install was on time, easy, completed under the estimated amount of time and looks fabulous. Loved the whole experience. Definitely would recommend.

Great place, great ppl, great deals! Only place I go for my flooring needs. So nice when picking up material to not have to wait in a line. Warehouse guys get your name and normally leaving in 10 mins unlike big box stores where your in line for 15mins another 20 mins for them to find your order and another 20 for them to help you load. Another nice thing they check the order in front of you and answer any questions! Nice to see people who actually care!

Rob was great with helping my mom pick out carpeting and laminate. They even let you take home large samples of flooring and carpet cutoffs so you can compare at home. Very glad we did, since we ended up choosing a color we didn't think we would like!

We just had Roy Lomas remove rugs from a sunken family room and office. They installed hardwood floors in a neat, timely, and professional fashion.

Excellent service and great products. They really help you pick out quality carpets, and they have a wide variety to pick from.
