The Brookside Inn

Last time I was here The Brookside was under different ownership and that review probably would have been 2 stars. Since the new ownership has taken over they have changed some decor and brightened the place up a bit and have started doing some differently themed food days like a wing night and a southern soul food style Sundays event.

The service here has been good the few times I’ve been in. I’m always greeted immediately and helped to a beverage and given a menu. I haven’t experienced any long waits to get another drink and everyone has been very friendly.

This review specifically is on their wings. We were in on a wing night and got the garlic ranch wings and the Kings hot honey wings. This wing special night has a list of sauces that changes weekly. You’ll still have your staples every week but there are quite a few that rotate in and out so it doesn’t get stale. My gf loves the garlic ranch and I’m consistently trying new flavors. I also had the blackberry bbq which were very tasty, and the plain Buffalo (The OG baby) also has good flavor.

These wings are nice and crispy without sacrificing the juiciness of the meat itself. They are not tiny little wings but they are also not these mammoth ones you see at some places where it’s impossible to get a proper cook on them and still have good texture.

I’ll be back in soon to try out that Southern food menu, but the wings absolutely Didn’t Suck!

Looked small from the outside, but this bar has a lot of room inside. Long wooden bar, with a high ceiling towards the back to give it a lodge kind of feel. Bar tender was great and asked for my name and then welcomed me to the bar, which was a nice touch. Food was delicious and the beer was nice and cold. Decent amount of beers on tap for a small bar. Looks like there is a back deck and backyard too with horse shoes. Couple PA gambling machines too. Good amount of TVs to watch sports/TV. Over all a cool bar and hangout spot for a small town.

Ordered from here for the first time through Uber eats and oh my, food was absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again and might even make this our go to place from now on. Amazing first impression!

Been coming here for years. Never had a bad meal or a bad time. Owner and staff are very professional and courteous, going out of their way to ensure proper service. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

Dinner at Brookside Inn in Tobyhanna, PA. They are recently under new ownership so we decided to give it a try. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our large group. We decided to share a bunch of appetizers. We got the buffalo wings, mac & cheese bites, chili cheese fries, nachos, mini tacos, quesadilla, and fried pickles. Then for dinner we all shared a couple of pizzas. Everything was delicious, especially the pizza.

This bar and restaurant is clean and well-maintained. It has a local vibe, and it's comfortable. The garlic parmesan wings were some of the best wings my husband and I have ever had. Seriously, nothing comes to mind for either or us that's even close to the quality of these wings. Our meals were also delicious and served hot. We will gladly return and would highly recommend this establishment.

The pizza is so underrated in my opinion I think it's the best in the area and the wings are good crispy good sauce love this place

Stopped in for some lunch while on an ice fishing trip in Pocono area. Bartender was very friendly. Wings were excellent. Service was quick and the environment gives off a fun, friendly dive bar vibe. Will definitely be in again next time I'm in the area.

Great find we happened across driving through the area. Fantastic wings, very good fries and the people are so friendly. Definitely worth giving it a try!!

Myself and my 6 sister's, drive from Watertown New York, we rent a house for 3 nights in the Pocono MT, we picked this restaurant cause it was close to our rental food was very good and very comfortable place not to busy. Everyone enjoyed their meals. " And you serve Pepsi " 😁

We tried a variety of things. The cheese pizza was amazing, authentic NY style. The antipasto salad was decent, the dressing was good. I had the french dip sandwich, which was good, but I was too full to eat much of it. Overall, this was a very good place. The server was the bartender, which made it hard for her to serve us and the full bar. She did a pretty good job and was very nice. Five stars.

This place was really good. I don't usually have high expectations for bar food, but I was very pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend said it was one of the best Reubens he's ever had. I wasn't a fan of the fries, but did like my fried shrimp. Service was fast and friendly.

Expertly fried wings: thin, crispy batter, juicy, great sauce. Loved the Cheese Steak, too! We had an awesome, friendly waitress/bartender who clued us in on stuff to do around town. Highly recommend! 👍

Biker Friendly, American owned small Business.Very laid back crowd, pool table, darts, tiki bar outside, New owmers as of may 2022, Great Food, but csll ahed, kitchen closes 9 wkdays, 10ish Fri sat DJ / Karaoke on wkends. Fair prices, lots of Parking

This place is a rare find. Food was great, drinks are very well made and the bartender Lacey was amazing. It was a good experience all in all

One of the best bars to chill in. GREAT food as well

This is my local bar. The bartenders are all really nice and good at what they do, the food is good and they have reasonable prices. The atmosphere is wonderful. It isn't a hole in the wall that only the regulars go to or a destination bar that will be overcrowded or too trendy to be fun, it's the perfect middle ground!

WE STOPPED IN AFTER FISHING AT THE TOBYHANNA PARK..WE FOUND THIS PLACE ON GOOGLE MAPS AND HAD TO STOP BY...I DON'T THINK YOU COULD POSSIBLY HAVE A CLEANER PLACE....GREAT FOOD AND PLEASANT BARTENDER....WE WILL BE BACK !!! NOW IF I COULD ONLY GET THE PEOPLE AT THE ARMY DEPOT TO LET ME USE THEIR RADIOS AND TOWERS...GREAT HAM RADIO LOCATION ....THANK YOU FOR A FUN TIME....CHIP WA3SXV
