I have lived in Lycoming County a lot of my life but didn't know about this park. Walls of the old canal are still standing.

The insects are everywhere l, so wear bug spray!!

A very beautiful, peaceful place. I especially enjoyed the flowers and the pond. I saw a turtle and a bullfrog in the water. The only downside was that I ran into a snake and it scared me into going home, otherwise I would have stayed longer. But that’s nature and it’s to be expected.

Lots of hidden corners to check out. Lockhouse, canal boat, pond, canal trail. Maybe more spots that I didn't notice.

Cute little nature Park. It has a pond and some trails. There is a replica canal boat and one of the trails leads to the old canal which is interesting.
The old timber frame pavilion is neat. Be aware of lots of mosquitoes near the water. We were able to spot a turtle and some other pond life which the kids enjoyed. The pond overlook is quite nice as well.
We brought a picnic lunch and spent a couple hours here. The kids enjoyed it's peaceful, idyllic setting. Except when the train came by, that was loud and exciting.

Good trails to walk & picnic tables if you want to bring a lunch. I saw lots of turtles sunning on the pond and the weather was perfect for a walk.

Love it here. Always a peaceful walk and if lucky we get to see deer and or other wild life.

Great little park with lots of informational signs, walking paths, picnic tables and a path to the river. A nice place for a walk

Favorite place around to put kayaks in the western branch of the Susquehanna.
