Outstanding service! Technician quickly diagnosed the issue that triggered the "Check Engine" warning. They were able to promptly get the needed part and make the repair. Cost was reasonable and the overall experience was as good as could be expected, given the fact that this was a haste repair while travelling.

Today at the Pep Boys in Wilkes-Barre, PA, I received service that was not only outstanding but above and beyond. It was only 15 degrees outside. My car died at the Sheetz convenience store across from the Pep Boys. I walked to the Pep Boys and asked if they could help me. Carla the Assistant Manager asked Mike to go with me to jump start my vehicle so I could get it over to the shop. Even though it was bitter cold outside, he did not hesitate and said he would help me. We got the car started and got it back to Pep Boys where the two mechanics both named Mike replaced my car battery in very quick fashion. Carla directed me to a place where I could sit and wait and keep warm while they worked on the car. I could not be more grateful nor more impressed with the caring service they provided to me. It is rare to find people that truly care these days and they also restored my faith in Pep Boys as a brand. I will continue to be a customer with Pep Boys due to their efforts. Please acknowledge them for a job well done. They are a credit to your brand. Thank you again Pep Boys!!! Thank you Carla, Mike, and Mike.

My mom just took her car here for service and called me to tell me all about it. She was extremely happy with the friendly service and all around experience!

Very courteous and professional, kept me informed every step of the way. The mechanics are very skilled and the sales people are knowledgeable. Got a great deal on Tires and I will definitely be going back for future automotive needs.

Great Staff. They make sure to let you know anything going on with your vehicle. This is my new go to place for service. Hopefully they get the waiting area renovated soon. That's my one improvement for them.

This is literally the best place ever!!!!!!!!!! From the two wonderful ladies in the front Felecia and Carla they were beyond amazing and super helpful in every way!!!!! I love love love this place they are the best make sure to go to them for all of your auto needs, down too Roberto for doing his thing taking off lug nut's!

Employees are very professional and always explain what the issue is and what could be causing it. Service is completed quickly and done well. I always get a great value for the services being completed.

Holiday weekend and everyone else was closed. From out of state and couldn't make it home on a donut after blowing a tire out on the turnpike. They were so great at getting us in and changing the tires. The girl was fantastic customer service and the people who took care of the car were above and beyond. They saved us from potentially getting stranded.

Shout out to Pep Boys in Wilkes Barre…

I left early afternoon to take a quick lunch break and head down the mountain to the grocery store when, UH-OH, my tire starting deflating.

*Side note: I ran back inside my house (last minute decision) for our dogs so they could come for the “quick” ride, but didn’t bring leashes…

Before I can make any sound decisions on where to go to fix my deflating tire, I found myself in the pouring rain outside of Pep Boys (what a blessing)! I ran in and explained what happened, told them I had my pups in the car and I was on my lunch break. They told me not to worry and they would take care of my issue ASAP. A short time later they took my car inside and I went to wait…

Not long after, I was informed they weren’t able to work on my car with animals inside. Ugh!!! I thought I’d have to stand outside in the rain while trying to hold both dogs by their collars, but that wasn’t the case… they made space for me inside with absolutely no issues. Boone and Crockett even got some extra afternoon pets from staff.

After all was said and done I was on my way with well wishes from several staff members.

I know, for some, this doesn’t seem like any kind of props moment, but it most certainly was. From the genuinely kind gentleman behind the counter and the young woman who brought my jeep into the garage to the several staff members who came by and gave extra pets to my babies (who were so curious about where they were and what was going on), Pep Boys SHINED ✨ 🛞 I’m very grateful for their kindness.

I’ve been going to Pep Boys Wilkes-Barre for my state inspection for the past few years because I’m not a car person and they’re always patient when I inevitably mess some part of the process up or don’t understand what my car requires.
Work is always done quickly and well. I trust that they are honest with their service.
I’ve never had any issues and everyone has always been very kind.

Stopped in to check an issue with my ignition. Didn't have an appointment and the mechanic was able to squeeze me in and told me exactly what I need to do to fix. All staff was really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend going here for car needs!

Found an oil leak on my car. Went there yesterday and the mechanic came out and cleaned up my leak. He also explained what to look for and said to come back if I had any issues. Definitely 10/10 shop. Super honest people!

Carla and the team at pep boys service were absolutely amazing! Their fast and friendly service was beyond excellent. Four brand new tires done in under half an hour with no surprise upsells and smiles from the whole team I dealt with. A incredibly pleasant experience in a specific customer service industry that can be fraught with turmoil and headaches. 5 star service across the board.

Christmas weekend and our car battery died. Will any place be open? The AAA guy who gave us a boost thought not. Called Pep Boys that night and was able to get an appointment on Christmas Eve. Friendly folks there took care of the problem, and I drove home with a new battery in short order. Ho, ho ho!

Drove a car up from Montreal Quebec to Wilkes Barre PA for my daughter and noticed the car was shaking like crazy when I'd hit around 55mph considering I just got the car balanced. So I brought it to Pep Boys and the service was great they went beyond just a balancing and they also give lifetime warranty.

Great people! They are awesome theyve done everything to help with passing inspection they are GOAT! Recommend going there if you have problems with your cars they got you fits you right in and good to go! 10/10! Huge help

Staff is always very friendly. They showed me how to get a discount on the website so my final bill was surprisingly low. I didn't have to wait long to get my oil change. They are as professional as you can get.
