Wood's Ice Cream

Great place to stop and have a delicious ice cream! Friendly staff, huge selection and variety. Plenty of take out choices also such as ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. The other locations are just as good and the owners are very community minded!

Woods has the best ice cream at a very reasonable price. Their ice cream cakes are absolutely delicious.

I brought my fiancé to the Poconos for Father’s Day weekend and one night we decided to get ice cream. We wanted to go to a privately owned one for the experience so we picked Wood’s. It was awesome. We are from Baltimore visiting Jim Thorpe today (10-17-22) and we biked 25 miles along the Lehigh Gorge Trail to White Haven. We got ice cream at Wood’s while in White Haven before starting our journey back to Jim Thorpe. My girlfriend got the toasted coconut hard ice cream and I got a chocolate and vanilla soft twist both of which were awesome. Wish they had inside seating but no big deal. Love this place.

It's our go-to place in White Haven for ice cream after paddling on the Lehigh River. We were up there on a cold evening and got hot chocolate. We were excited to see it open.

Always past by this place and finally decided to try it. Seriously amazing soft serve. Tons of flavor choices, each is mixed with vanilla soft serve per order. Got peanut butter and it was for sure the best peanut butter ice cream I have had. Need to try mixing it with banana next time. Prices are amazing, and portions are great. Also when you put the soft serve in the freezer it doesn't get any harder, it stays the same consistency!!

We are not from the area and were looking for something homey and different. There are a lot of choices and I personally really like soft serve. I got kahlua soft serve and it was awesome. Def worth all of the calories.

Wow...went over Labor day and was pleasantly surprised at all the flavors and options and all they offered. Went both days we were there, even served great lattes while we waited. Ice cream serving were big and delicious and didnt even think to take a pic, but it did make us stop back the next day. We got 2 whole ice creams to take home. (2 hour drive, they survived!). The pumpkin one was absolutely amazing. Definitely try this place out if in the area, staff was very nice as well.

The very best ice cream shop on the East Coast! My whole family can enjoy it. Most shops have either soft serve (hubby's fav), hand scooped (my fav), or frozen yogurt (my daughter's fav), and obviously all the milkshakes (my son's choice, lol)! Wood's has lots of flavors of all of them. Thank you! My whole family loves when we visit (and we never all like one shop, except here, haha)! 💕

We had a group of 16 and the employees were great in taking the order and making each sundae in a timely manner. We enjoyed it very much!

So, on the way home from Hickory Run, someone mentioned ICE CREAM... I didn't realize there was a location so close to us in White Haven, and their current hours state they are open until 10pm! I had their ice cream before, but only from their truck, not an actual location... they have so many flavor choices I'm sure anyone can find what they're in the mood for! I settled on a chocolate and peanut butter sundae, and it was as good as I would expect. I love the peanut butter topping... the bunch of us also got the Oreo cookie with vanilla ice cream, and the typical vanilla with sprinkles. All gone in almost no time flat. The place is clean and inviting. I also love the fact that I saw PUMPKIN as a flavor choice when it's clearly not pumpkin season! They also have slushies, coffee, and hot chocolate! Worth stopping by for your sugar cravings!

I was looking for a place to stop for ice cream in the area and I'm so glad I ended up here! They have a great selection, lots of options with lots of flavors, and the portions are quite large. If you like soft serve, this is the place! I definitely plan to come back the next time I'm in town!

We have to stop here after kayaking on the Lehigh, every time. Delicious ice cream at reasonable prices. This time I mixed death by chocolate with salted caramel vanilla truffle. Large servings and interesting flavors available, even in soft serve. You gotta go!

Woods is a great place for a cold wnqck on a hot day. The other awesome thing is they give the local youngsters a chance to make a few bucks and learn responsibility

The ice cream is delicious & there's lots of flavors to choose from. Whenever we're in the Poconos we always go for ice cream at Wood's. The staff is always friendly & the prices are resonable. They even have gluten free cones & ice cream treats for your dog. I highly recommend Wood's.

Friendly service. Great ice cream. My son did not like his watermelon smoothie but the owner overheard and offered to replace it. He was very nice about it. Would definitely come back here again!!!
