The Strange and Unusual

Visited here for the first time today, and it definitely didn't disappointment. Even had their iced coffee (I'm not one for iced coffee at all) and it was absolutely.delicious! Atmosphere was awesome. Staff was very well mannered!

Fantastic experience. The espresso was very smooth and my iced latte was to die for. Interesting animal taxidermy but it didn’t smell at all, except from some lovely incense. I’d go a hundred times over.

It's always fun to stop in to grab a coffee and see the unique items in stock. I purchased a beautiful Siamese Fighting Fish in Lucite and had a great time looking at the various bones and skulls from various creatures. If you enjoy strange products, this shop will definitely have something that peaks your interest.

On my travels to Wisconsin I looked up to see what oddities I could find along the way and stumbled upon this amazing place. For all you oddity lovers, this is probably the best store I have ever come across, all be it pricey, the pieces they have are amazing! And their display of everything is spot on! I literally was like a little kid in a candy story and wanted to buy it all! My big purchase of the day was a human skull which I absolutely love and cant wait to make a trip there again

Its been on my bucket list for a while and it was awesome!!! The root beer float was delicious!! And the candles smell amazing. Definitely will be stopping back again before the trip home!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. This place is seriously so cool. I’ve purchased quite a few things from here over the years. Every time I am up in the Scranton area I have to go here. They also have a coffee shop inside as well. A wide assortment of taxidermy.

For the sake of a nostalgic, eerily, and otherworldly experience, this is the place to be! With a miscellany of strange and unusual assortments, you will find that this place will draw you in or disturb you out! Inside is also a cute coffee boutique and selection of beverages and snacks for purchase. There are booths if you want to sit and drink too.

The only drawback is the small parking space, but I'm not a local, so I can't attest to additional parking on the street or nearby.

We LOVED visiting the Steamy Hallows Cafe inside of new The Strange & Unusual!! Its absolutely beautiful inside and the yummy Harry Potter themed coffee choices were a perfect compliment to the atmosphere 🧙‍♀🧙‍♂

Stunningly decorated curiosity shop with real specimens. The shop staff were interactive and helpful but let you do your own thing. So many beautiful pieces for sale and small metaphysical supply items as well.
The front has a cute magical themed cafe. Will return again.

Great place to hang out have coffee and look at the cool and unique gifts and display items. If you dont mind dark & gothic or are ready for something new I highly recommend this place. May be difficult coming inside with a wheelchair but still a gem.

Holy Sh!t!! If you've never been here, and maybe if you have, your jaw will hit the floor in amazement and wonder at the huge assortment of oddities, taxidermy, occult supplies, and well just everything here. Words can't describe what awaits.
Picked up some magic to aid in my travails. Lucky rabbit's foot. Can't wait to take the kids to the in-house Potter-themed coffee shop!

If your a collector or simply like the strange this be the place for you. Bones, books, oils, masks, candles, art, sage, Crystal's, apparel, and more!!. Great coffee and a wonderful staff. A must whenever in the area!

Really cool stuff in here - excellent little skulls and other oddities. Harry Potter themed coffee shop inside is truly magical. Awesome place overall!!

Within the last year, I have made multiple attempts to visit this location but something always seemed to happen making me unable to do so; to which, I jokingly told Hayley that it's like Josh's store had put a curse on me and we laughed about that. Now that I've finally got to visit, I highly recommend that everyone stop by the store at least once. Even if oddity shops aren't usually something you consider visiting. The Strange and Unusual had many items that piqued my interest. From taxidermy animals to old coffins to animal skeletons, and even the store's decor itself! I was fascinated with the ceiling tiles and so Hayley informed me that Josh had installed them himself. The other thing that you must check out while visiting the store is the sodas that are stocked within the shop, as some come from Josh's soda parlor. We tried both the root beer, and the butter beer, and had to admit that both were delicious. Whenever I find myself back in Kingston, Pennsylvania you can bet that I'll be visiting again.

What a great store! So weird and funky. Coffee shop in there! Can't go wrong and can't wait to go back!

Love taking my daughters here. Shop is phenomenal, customer service is top notch., and I love the coffee as well. Definitely a must see for anyone looking for a unique gift.

unique to say the least. I saw this place on JP Videos on YouTube and just had to visit. It's 2 hours from my home but we made a day trip out of it. was worth the effort
