The Home Depot

We took our grandson to a workshop so he could build a treasure chest. They were so good to him. He received a home depot apron a pin and an achievement certificate for completion. They supplied everything he needed free of charge. Allowed him to take all the time he needed and also checked with him to see if he needed anything and treated him like a bigger kid than he was. My grandson liked being treated like that. We look forward to attending the next workshop. Thank you Home Depot

A big box store such as Home Depot can vary on experiences day by day and visit by visit due to who you are dealing with and what the reason behind your visit is. I have been here many times with mostly positive experiences. The one time I had a bad experience, it was due to the website and the store fixed the issue. So technically not a bad 'in store' experience.

This store in Wilkes Barre, Pa should be commended for it's approach and care for it's customers. A few weeks ago I went here and was loading wood for a project for 2 hours straight. I was sweaty from head to toe and surely looked a mess from my 2 hour straight wood loading workout. Got to the register and the cashier was most concerned for my well being and not only offered me help to my vehicle and the unloading of all this lumbar but also offered me a cold beverage on the house. I declined and the cashier still made sure to add a bottle of cold water to my cart on my way out the door. The care and concern for myself by this employee was impressive and I was extremely grateful for how they went above and beyond to check and make sure I was okay given how I looked after 2 hours of intense lumbar loading.

Based on this experience alone, I will always give The Home Depot in Wilkes Barre the opportunity to secure my business before any other home improvement store.

This review is specific to Heather in Customer Service. I was in the store on Sunday, July 30th renting a truck and doing a return. This required me to be in the Customer Service line three different times and I was able to observe Heather in action. In summary, I am amazed at Heather’s level of patience, expertise and ability to multitask relative to doing her own job and others. While I waited in line, it was apparent that Heather was able to handle at least two transactions for every one that her peers accomplished. However, what really “hit home” with me was that Heather was either approached, or her name called out, by seven other Home Depot employees who were asking her questions about how to handle a particular situation. Seven! And each time, the Home Depot employee asking for Heather’s assistance left with the information they requested. Heather’s ability to communicate concisely to others and still concentrate on her own task was beyond impressive. From my perspective, Heather is clearly a “gem” and I hope that Home Depot management really understand and appreciate her outstanding performance; as a Home Depot customer, I certainly do appreciate her!

The employees I spoke to went out of their way to help me. They were very friendly and accommodating.

An oasis of solutions, proper equipment and handy dandy tools for all the trades.
I am sure I could build anything with a blank check and a local home depot.
Their staff is always helpful and willing to help.
As a traveler technician, I spend a lot of time in The depot and always finding new stuff and solutions.

Dan C and Thateus really know the meaning of customer service. Those boys went above and beyond helping me pick out, get the right amount, and load my car with bricks for a small outdoor project I have going on. I really appreciated them making my shopping experience easy.

I was at the Home Depot in Wilkes-Barre on 3/4, in the evening hours looking for a paint sprayer. I was struggling to find the exact tool i needed when a.young boy working in the paint department sought me out to.give me a.hand, he was super polite and helpful. Unfortunately we couldn't find it. When I went to the.paint desk a.young lady was working , she was determined to help me, she found the tool o needed for me. I just wanted to saythank you. When i was at your competitors not to long ago i stood at their paint desk for 40 minutes ringing the help button, no one showed up., while store employees walked past me without a care. Great job!!!

The customer service representative Erin was most helpful in correcting my kitchen cabinet order.
She follow thru on everything she said she would do and called me back to check if I was satisfied.

I shop here for all my needs to improve anything in my home. They have all your needs....from appliances,to drywall,to paint,lighting,and so much more! Power tools galore to fix any job you have at home! Whatever you do, don't let your husband have the charge card for this place! He might come back with a zero balance in the account! Lol

As an artist the prices are great for Masonite and walking thru the store always gives me a glance into my next project.

John in pro services is brilliant. He may not of been able to help me with everything, but guided me to who can help me. Unlike Lowe's you actually can get help. Chris over in hardware without him I don't think I could have found the drill I was looking for.

Yesterday was a good trip I asked one employee for help and within 5 minutes I had what I was looking for the last time I was in Lowe's about a month ago I asked a gentleman employee for help he looked at me and walked away what a loser hope he loses his job!! Maybe he's just afraid of women that know more than he does

On 10-3-21 at 11:45 I went here and applied for a Home Depot credit card. The gentleman who's name I forgot, is an excellent employee. He was genuinely grateful for my business and thanked me earnestly. As if he owned the store. I would love to have this guy as an employee. I reference the time in hopes his supervisor can give him due credit.

I was there to have a car key copied .The employee was knowledgeable enough to know that if there was a chip in the key it wouldn't copy properly. So even though there was a key match they took me out to my car and tried the door which opened ...but the car would not turn over. Just saved me having to go in and return the key because they won't let you purchase it unless it works. My car was a 2011 model.

The staff was a great help & the installers did a great job. I bought other items in the past and will continue to in the future. 5 *****
