Gravesite of Marie Farreit (sp) a French Hugenougt (sp) who got a land grant from William Penn to get property in what was the wilderness.

An old Huguenot cemetery dating between the 17th-18th century. From what I can tell, it appears to be a community cemetery and not a family plot, even though the size is very small. The Huguenots were Protestant Calvinists who escaped from France and came to America to avoid Catholic persecution in the 17th century. There are a few Revolution War soldiers buried here. Perhaps the most curious detail are the amount of "Leah's" buried here, which I did not think was a common name at the time. Please be respectful when entering this graveyard. Replace or fix American flags that have fallen to the ground. Remove debris and tree branches that haven fallen. It is clear that very few people maintain the upkeep of this cemetery as it has fallen into disrepair.

Really cool old cemetery where you can pull a long side the road, pick wildflowers & wait to see the Strasburg Railroad Train pass by
