Stonehouse Cafe

First time to this cafe, and I liked it. I got a dirty hot chocolate, and the flavor was incredible! Not too sweet and the chocolate was rich.
The customer service was great.
The decor and furniture are an interesting mix of country, modern, and old English.

Update: Since I first posted a review, Stonehouse has become my favorite place to eat. Both the food and the service are always 10/10, and I have yet to be disappointed with anything I've ordered. They have the most savory dishes I've eaten in the 2 1/2 years that I've lived in Lancaster. While the Nathan's Chicken Sandwich is my go-to, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

I loved the cozy atmosphere of Stonehouse Cafe! I stopped by for lunch, and ordered a burger with a side of chips. Everything tasted fantastic, and my burger was cooked to perfection! I only wished that there was an option to have a side of fries, but the chips sufficed. I will definitely have to come again, and next time I'll have to try one of their drinks! I'll also add that the service was among some of the best experiences I've had. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and cheerful, which only added to the great atmosphere! I'll need to bring friends sometime, so they too can enjoy this great cafe😊

I Love the Stonehouse Cafe! It is such a charming and clean little restaurant. The food is delicious. The soups are yummy and I especially love their Mushroom Brie. The sandwiches are also very good. As for their drinks , there is so much to choose from in specialty coffees or teas!
I found the staff to be very friendly and courteous.

I enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere of the cafe, which exuded a historic architectural charm (they preserved the old structures of the building). The barista, who was also the only cashier/server at that time, was very friendly. Both the chai tea and latte were excellent. The food arrived promptly and was surprisingly delicious and filling (I thought that quinoa bowl dish was very unique and delicious). The cafe offers ample parking and an outdoor seating area. I would definitely go back for more lattes!

Jan 2024: We enjoyed a wonderful dinner out with good service, very tasty sandwiches, and this time, a special treat of live music. I upgraded to 5 stars all around! Good job Stonehouse Café

Dec 2022: The atmosphere is charming and inviting. However, the temperature is not ideal. We originally found a table next to a window but moved because it felt drafty. I would hate to see their heating bill! After we ordered our at the register, we received our drinks in a few minutes, which was a great improvement from our last visit. The food was quite tasty and nicely presented. Portions were good and prices reasonable. My wife and I ate for $30 with a coupon that took off $5. I increased my rating to 4 stars.

Jan 2022: The decor is nice, but the temperature was a bit low, and we were basically chilly throughout the entire meal. We waited 30+ minutes to get drinks, which is not good. Although we received several apologies due to lack of staff, we feel the drinks of the current customer should be completed BEFORE taking the next order, especially since there was only one person behind the counter. The food came out ~40 minutes after ordering (the chef expressed personal apologies to us and several others), but it seemed to be a bit average quality. I doubt we will return.

Very cool spot! The owner was running the taking the orders and was super friendly. The food was excellent. Definitely would recommend for any occasion!

Super cute café! Great food for great prices. The smoothies are to die for!! The staff are always super polite and friendly. Definitely a must stop for visitors and locals alike.

What a beautiful little gem!! Great ambiance, kind service, incredible food....like I didn't know toast could be elevated, but my freaking side of toast was as delicious as my chorizo breakfast bowl! My hot cider was so pretty I almost didn't want to drink it, but I'm glad I did 😅

Food was cheap and filling, the cozy atmosphere combined with the delicious food creates a perfect dining experience.

The staff were cordial and accommodated us perfectly. I will 100% come again if I'm ever in the area.

Whether you come here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it's gonna be great. Their drinks are super good, too. I love their iced lattes and hot chocolate. The soups are delicious. My only wish is that they had a few more vegetarian options, especially for dinner. But the staff are so friendly and make you feel really welcomed. Love this place.

Came here for the first time today and had a great experience. I rarely give 5 star reviews but I believe this place deserves it. The food we ordered was delicious (Stonehouse Grilled Cheese and California Burger). We also got Broccoli Cheddar soup and that was DELICIOUS 😍

The hazelnut iced coffee and caramel macchiato drinks were also pretty good. Initially when we came in, we were greeted by a woman behind the bar area…but we ordered with ponytail guy. Wish I got his name. He was very friendly and personable, felt like he recognized and acknowledged a lot of the regulars there and quickly came over to chat with us at the bar seating. He was chatting with us about Pokémon Go and was so chill. Ponytail guy was awesome (to ponytail guy I’m sorry if you’re reading this and I didn’t catch your name. I’ll make sure to ask next time lol). Overall great experience and great staff! Food & drinks came out quickly!

My sister and I went to celebrate her birthday (she’s a Leap Year baby) The staff couldn’t have been nicer and the food was great! They even bought us a cake to celebrate her birthday! Would definitely recommend them!

Nothing but good things to say about Stonehouse Cafe! It is evident that Chef Doug takes pride in his dishes. Every barista we’ve met makes a great drink & serves it with a smile. There’s just something about the building’s character that makes you feel welcome. Although it’s normally mine and my boyfriend’s brunch date spot, I think it would be a great place to go to work, read a book, catch up with a friend(s), host a baby shower (not sure if they offer events?)…

Everything about this adorable place deserves 10 stars!! The atmosphere is just the best. So we'll done. Clean! The service was outstanding. The cook delivered our food. Waiter very attentive. Food was plentiful and absolutely delicious!! We were passing through but will definitely make it back there! I just loved it!!!!

This nice little cafe is amazing. The food was fantastic and service was excellent. Doug and Doug were very kind and welcoming. If I get a chance I will be coming back again.

Great atmosphere and lovely decor. Great place to enjoy a coffee drink. Cold brew coffee with cream is great and sourced from Squareone out of Lancaster. Sometime would like to try out the food.

Great food in a wonderful atmosphere. The food was carefully prepared and wonderful.
The portions were good sized. Not excessively large and certainly not small. It is nice to find a place that serves reasonable sized potions.
I had a Cubano sandwich which was perfectly grilled. The flavors were excellent and the bread crisp and warm. Only thing I did not care for was the mustard (personal taste) which was not listed on the menu description (the owner plans to correct this). But even with the mustard this was a great sandwich.
My wife got the Garlic Shrimp Quinoa which was excellent as well.
The lunch menu was not huge, but it was a selection of unique and wonderful sounding dishes. We look forward to trying some others.
They also have a large selection of coffees and pastries which we did not try this time.
The atmosphere was quaint and warm. And the place was spotlessly clean. The old stone house with wooden beams give it a pleasantly rustic and welcoming feel. The outside dining area was well laid out and there is even a small covered area that looks charming (my picture does not do it justice)
The owner was friendly and helpful and the staff were very pleasant.
Prices were reasonable.
Bottom line, it is worth the drive out from Ephrata to visit. We will be back.

Charming place, delicious food and drinks. The quinoa with shrimp was excellent, the Reuben was on par with NY deli quality, and the blue cheese burger was the best burger I ever tasted . Friendly staff and I love the numerous, unique drinks available. My favorite is the cherry lemonade boba.

We were there for breakfast. It was really good. Loved the atmosphere of the cafe as well. We will definitely be back
