Unplanned stop - bought some scrumptious whoopie pies, buy one get one mini pies, mini whoopies and apple dumplings. The sticky buns with nuts ~ the topping is so yummy! Great products for the prices. Very nice staff.

They have the best pastries. The cheese danish is Beyond delicious. The apple fritters are yummy! The peach fritters taste like apple fritters, not sure how, but they do. Still delicious.

They have upstairs seating including outdoor seating. Very beautiful view.

Very clean, very nice staff. Definitely try it

Started with the sweet Amish girl at the register. She was funny, informative and helpful. The baked goods were fresh and delicious. We had breakfast sandwiches which came out very quickly and were on point with flavor freshness and temperature. I recommend this place for a nice quick breakfast and yummy treats. We will be back I'm sure.

This bakery has a lot of sweets. One of my favorites is the ice cream sandwich. It's delicious. The prices are on the high side but that seems to be the norm in the area. The workers are nice and professional, has a smile on their faces. The store is not that crowded most of the time. If you go upstairs, you can be seated and eat a proper meal. Overall, fun place to visit to get some good treats.

Whenever I am in Lancaster I make sure I stop in to grab some of their delicious donuts. My favorite bakery of all time. From their hotels, to bakery, or even their farmers market, Bird in Hand always does an excellent job. Their breakfast sandwiches are also just as good as they look!

Had a wonderful sandwich and a salad. We bought baked goods and enjoyed sitting upstairs on a porch overlooking the neighborhood. Definitely a nice quick place to stop and get some goodies!

If you're looking for an amazing bakery and cafe, then Bird in Hand Bakery & Cafe is the place for you! Located conveniently on Google Maps, this cozy cafe is the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast or lunch.

The baked goods here are simply outstanding, with a wide variety of bread, pastries, and cakes to choose from. The croissants are flaky and buttery, while the cinnamon rolls are soft and gooey. The coffee is also excellent, with a rich and smooth flavor that pairs perfectly with any pastry.

The menu offers a great selection of sandwiches and salads, all made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The chicken salad sandwich is a personal favorite, with a delicious homemade dressing and a generous portion of tender chicken.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and a charming decor. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and service.

Overall, I highly recommend Bird in Hand Bakery & Cafe for anyone looking for a tasty breakfast, lunch, or snack. This is definitely a five-star spot that deserves a visit when you're in the area!

This cafe is in a very nice location across from the farmer’s market. They have very good chicken pesto and coffee , pastry and in the back they have a little zoo for kids.

Friendly counter service, we got whoopie pies 6 for $17. We got a 1/2 gallon of ice cream too. Restroom is upstairs... You can use stairs or an elevator. There's a quilt shop upstairs as well with higher prices than if you buy directly.

5.25.23. Very clean establishment with very good ice cream. They have 3 areas where you can sit, talk with friends and eat your ice cream. There is an upstairs enclosed area, balcony and seating along the street. It's the only place I will buy a cone within 20 miles. They also have food which I have never had.

Came here after a delicious lunch experience. Grabbed some baked goods and a scoop of Strawberry Cocunut Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. What a combination but works wonderfully. Staff didnt know why the batch didnt thicken but that didnt matter. Very nice place and a cute petting zoo too! Will definitely come again!

Really enjoy going here with my mom and son. She and I will get a latte which has always been delicious and my son will get a cookie which he always loves. There's also a small petting zoo and playground right next to it he likes to go to. My son always likes to sit on the second floor where there are big windows he can look out and watch the trucks, cars and horse and buggies go by.

I received my order of a shoo fly pie yesterday.
WOW!!!!!!!!
It was the absolutely the best I have ever had.
Living out west I have missed the foods from Amish country I grew up on. Occasionally the super market will have scrapple but I have never seen shoo fly pie.
Thank you so much for a great version of a boyhood favorite.
I will be ordering again.

We stopped here for lunch and it was wonderful. I wouldn't say the food was anything special but it just tasted like it was made at home with all homemade ingredients. We very much enjoyed our food and it hit the spot. We also hit the gift shop and bought a few items. Later we went outside to the petting zoo across the parking lot and was probably the funniest moment of our whole vacation when the goats were interacting with each other.

Wanted to give 5 stars to Bird-in-Hand Bakery & Cafe!
I ordered a special birthday cake and smash cake for my beautiful 1 year old Granddaughter! Both cakes came out fantastic and were enjoyed by all! The cake was moist and delicious, the butter cream icing and raspberry filling delightful! My Granddaughter had a good time with her special smash cake! I highly recommend the Bird-in-Hand Bakery & Cafe! 👍🥳
