Thorn Hill Winery

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon “O” is fantastic! This wine is luscious, full bodied, and a bargain considering the wines of the world! My husband and I paired this with braised beef short ribs-a marriage made to delight! “O” is rich in color - dark garnet- with gorgeous flavors of dark fruit, cherry, blackberry, cassis, chocolate, and hints of coffee. To top things off, the tannins are mellowed and balanced. I hope Amy, the winemaker, will keep developing wine of this caliber.

Beautiful tasting room with an amazing staff and clientele. Kelly was fantastic telling us about the wine and a pleasure to talk to. The wines are amazing and the Chardonnay and Merlot were incredible. Merlot gets a bad rap and the most expensive and sought-after wine in the world has Merlot in it. For the quality of the wine the price is more than reasonable.

The staff was excellent and very attentive! The wine was very tasty! Atmosphere delightful! Unlike any winery I have ever visited in PA. This is a California based establishment that brings their product to Lancaster County and you can taste the difference.

We had a bridal shower for my daughter here. We had an entire private room to ourselves which was beautifully decorated, with private bathrooms. Wine was delicious. Rachel, the owners daughter was our personal server for wine. She even helped us decorate!
If your looking for somewhere with good fair rental prices and good customer service this place is a gem.

We were at Thorn Hill for a pre-scheduled tasting for our large group of ladies and had a fabulous time. Lorraine led the tasting and she was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy, and had great information about the wine selections. They had a wine that everyone liked from sauvignon blanc, to cabernet, to ice wine. Everything was delicious and they were very accommodating.

Had the BEST time doing a wine tasting here with my coworkers this week! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about their product and spent significant time sharing details with us. Would definitely recommend their wine and fun events!

My wife and I enjoyed a tasting of several wines from Thorn Hill. We had the pleasure of meeting Lori and she was very accommodating. She explained all the wines very thoroughly and was very professional in her presentation. I personally enjoyed the volcanic cab as it had a unique body that I have never had before. My wife like the Pinot Grigio. Definitely better than Santa Margarita. I would definitely recommend visiting their Lancaster Pennsylvania location. Their wine club is respectably priced and I might mention that they do have an art gallery with some interesting pieces.

Sending my thanks to Jack and Amy Thorn for being such gracious hosts at their event tonight celebrating 6 years of bringing their superb wines directly from their vineyards in Sonoma County to their Lancaster tasting room. I've enjoyed many events at the Fruitville Pike location since they opened in 2012, Wild women of wine, Friday nights with live music, lectures, trivia night and so much more. The staff there are friendly and kind. Their daughter Rachel makes every effort to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Amy has a passion and a gift for creating amazing varietals, I can honestly say I have a hard time choosing a favorite since I love them all! Love the newest release of the Old Vine Zinfandel and Sparkling Brut Cuve Prestige. I am excited to visit them at their vineyard sometime in 2018 and see first hand where the magic happens! As someone who knows wine, I haven't had a bad experience here. Every wine I've had, regardless of whether I'd buy it or not, has been enjoyable. The individuals doing the tastings have been knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. This place is a great find, for wine enjoyers of any level
