I popped in Saturday morning for a last minute bouquet for a bridal shower. They were so nice and accommodating and put together an absolutely beautiful bouquet of flowers in less than 15 minutes. Everyone was raving about how nice the flowers were. I will recommend this place to everyone!!

We chose Bill Canjar at McCarthys to design the wedding flowers for our son. Bill has always done our prom and special occasion bouquets and we couldn’t be more pleased.
The bride, our new daughter in law, cried when she saw her bouquet.

I have been coming here for a while now. I’m at least there once a month and I have never been disappointed. My girlfriend loves them every time too. The ladies who work there are always really nice and helpful whenever I have a question. I highly recommend their flower arrangements for any occasion!

Mccarthys on Pittston Ave is my Go-To florist for all of my needs. I have 4 sons, with 2 still in high school and one getting married. Our boys semi flowers are always top of the line ! Bill Canjar is an artist in the truest sense of the word!

I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Canjar in March 2019 at a wedding expo. From the moment i met him, i knew i had to make him my wedding florist. For the past 1yr and half Bill, my mother and i worked hand in hand with what i wanted, she wanted etc. To say he was just my florist would be a lie. He became part of our family.
During the time of covid 19 breaking out and restrictions changing all the time, we weren't even sure if we were going to be able to have our wedding on Sept 12,2020. Every step of the way again, Bill was by our side with positive thoughts and willing to do whatever it was we needed.
Finally the day was here and we were able to go threw with the wedding. To see Bill's work finally in person was breath taking. I couldn't believe how he took my ideas (which was you know the wedding scene in twilight? that's what i want a garden whimsical feel) and brought them to life adding some of his flare and style. He told me I got this and he did. He knew what I wanted even with me talking in circles. The talent this man has is unbelievable. From my cocktail hour flowers, reception center pieces, the flowers for my bridesmaids and groomsmen, parents etc. The biggest surprise was my ceremony space (my mom and bill secret) he recreated the arbor to look like the arbor in twilight.
If I could give Bill more them 5 stars i would. I would and do recommend Bill to anyone that is looking for an amazing florist. Not just for wedding but any occasion in life. He will have mine for life..

We hired McCarthy Flowers for our wedding on 9/15/18. Kathi was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. When I couldn't articulate accurately what I wanted, she summed it up for me. She has years of experience and it clearly shows, she visited our venue with us and turned my thoughts into a vision and beautiful backdrop for our perfect day. I'm not a Pinterest/DIY bride, so I put my full trust in Kathi to make my ceremony space and reception beautiful and she far exceeded my and my new husband's expectations. I cannot recommend McCarthy Flowers enough, they were worth every penny we spent with them. Thank you Kathi.

Absolutely LOVED how they helped me have the bouquet that I wanted for me and for my Maid of Honor. Kate was so patient and she helped me get exactly what worked for me and what I could afford. The flowers arrived a couple hours earlier than scheduled, which is always appreciated on your wedding day! They were delivered in vases with water and exactly how we had discussed in my consultation. I recommend this place 100%!

Bill Canjar was the florist for my wedding on 5.17.19. From start to finish everything was absolute PERFECTION!! He took my vision of whimsical and brought it to life. After having to postpone my wedding I forgot about flowers. I called McCarthy and spoke to Bill just 2.5 weeks before my wedding. I told him over the phone what I like and don’t like. I wasn’t expecting anything too extravagant. When I saw the flowers this past weekend I couldn’t believe it. They were so amazing and exactly what I had always dreamed of. I am still in shock at how perfect they are!

***Second try, this time around I am more than impressed with the presentation of the arrangement! It is exactly what I wanted, looks even better than the image on their website honestly. Cindy was fantastic, spoke with her a few times, very polite, understood my original frustrations, rectified everything, and impressed me today with what she had gotten done.***

On June 2nd, my now husband and I eloped. Unfortunately I forgot my original flowers at home and I was in a panic. We decided to stop at McCarthy Flowers in hopes they could help us out. Well they exceed our expectations and were so helpful. They arranged the most beautiful bouquet of flowers in literally minutes. McCarthy’s saved the day for us! Highly recommended!

What can we say? During an uncertain time, Bill (Senior Designer & Wedding Specialist) of McCarthy Flowers Scranton was kind, calm, and extremely knowledgable. We could not believe how perfectly he executed our vision just from a few discussions. We were beyond thrilled when we saw how amazing everything came together. Bill and McCarthy’s were there through every step (and speed bump!) making sure that not only the florals were stellar, but that the placement and arrangement were ideal. Our family and friends still can’t stop complimenting our florals from both the church and the reception. Got flowers delivered for my grandma’s birthday from out of town. I picked the florist’s special and paid a decent price. Much cheaper than 1800flowers. I placed the order the day before at 4pm. Flowers were beautiful and delivered early in the morning.

I chose this place purely by chance to surprise my wife at work for our anniversary. She received her dozen roses at her office and was amazed at how gorgeous, fresh and FRAGRANT they were! Their scent filled her work area and she got tons if compliments all day from her co-workers. It really made her day, and in turn, made mine.

I most certainly will buy from McCarthy's again and I highly recommend them. I did think their prices were a bit steep but then again you get what you pay for.

I have had many wonderful dealings at McCarthy Flower Shop on Pittston Ave in Scranton. The manager Bill is an expert flower designer and so creative. He practically reads my mind when I'm trying to describe to him what kind of arrangement I need. He is very professional, very courteous, and an excellent listener. He goes out of his way for you until you're satisfied. Bill is a great asset to the McCarthy family, and I hope he will be with them for a long time. As long as he is I will gladly do business there.

I’m not from/live in PA, and needed to find a florist in Scranton. I placed an online order through the website and made a slight error in the recipient address. The staff were incredibly nice about it and since the correct address was on the same street, they made the delivery minutes later. The bouquet was arranged beautifully and made my recipient and I happy.

Moved into this area and was looking for that special florist that understood floral arrangements! I found that with McCarty’s ! Never disappointed !! 5 Stars for sure

I have never written a Google Review before. However, the flowers from my wedding were so spectacular I felt compelled to write one. They were designed by Bill Canjar from McCarthy Flowers on Pittston Avenue in Scranton. I showed Bill a picture of an arrangement of flowers that I saw online. He created centerpieces with the same light, airy look that were stunning. The flowers were fresh and the vases and centerpieces were absolutely full and profoundly beautiful. He was very easy to talk with and understood exactly what I was looking for. He personally made all of the arrangements himself. He created them with great care and superior attention to detail. Please know I highly recommend Bill Canjar.
