Very grateful to get my tent in the shelter and kept dry from the overnight thunder + ⚡ storm.

There's a toilet but no water, however a river bridge next to the camp site is ideal for a quick wash + top up water bottles.

Can't have a name like that and not have a comical photo op

If you like to camp this is secluded little place. Have to hike or bike in. Bring ear plugs as the train comes through on the other river bank a few times each evening.

Ten miles from trailhead behind Martin's, good place to rest, eat and drink.
Restroom was decently clean

Simple camping on GAP trail (close to 100 miles mark) It’s not accessible by car. Water is not for drinking.

We stayed at the roundbottom camp as part of a 20 mile backpacking trip with the Boy Scouts. We started at Connellsville and ended in Cedar Creek Park. Roundbottom is right in the middle. This was a rare "free" event for us, we used this trail as a shakedown for a longer trip on the Appalachian Trail. Its an easy flat hike in and out. The site was well maintained and large enough for 100+ campers. While the pump water is non-potable, we did filter some and while it tasted metallic, it was safe. Better water can be obtained from the Yough or Slush Run. The free firewood had been depleted, but it was off season and there was plenty of wood to be found by scrounging. Would recommend to any scout troop who wants to get started into backpacking, but needs to ease into it a little.

Nice camp ground along the GAP trail. Contains 2 Adirondacks, 5 picnic tables and many tenting spots with fire rings. The pump here pumps non potable water.

Nice little campground along the GAP. There was a homeless person in one of the three shelters. But I was on the other side.

Large Adirondack shelters, easy access to river from campsites, a good spot for wading when river is low.
