I've been coming to this park for over 15 years now ever since I went to Bucks County Community College down the road. It's one of my favorite parks in the area. It's huge and has many parking lots/entrances and it even has a 36 hole disc golf course. It's a place I'll return to many times.

Recommendation of a colleague. First time here , I came after work, right before sunset and it was tranquil. A decent amount of people and great for a novice like me ! 😁 I will love to come back a but earlier or on a weekend.

I’m going to share a more specific location at Tyler Park. Fisherman Lot which is across the street from the Spring Garden Mill. They used to turn the mill into a haunted house for Halloween when I was growing up. The lot is not paved and does not have bathrooms. It does have a trash can which is great as my dogs love to go right when we first start our hikes. There are a few picnic tables in a grassy area. The grass is high and my son had a tick on his leg just from walking through. We started on the main paved path but there is another trail option right from the lot that isn’t paved. Once you’ve walked a bit you have directional options. I always have my son choose and check his compass to let us know the direction we’ll be heading. We wound up on the cliff side of the creek, opposite side of the main lots with the bathrooms and playground. The few people we passed, as it was early, were people out for a walk to get exercise. We were able to locate some actual trails so we could get our hike on. Once in the woods we were met with beautiful moss covered rocks and frog hopped out in front of us at one point. I know there are snakes in the rockier areas. Fortunately for me we didn’t come across any. In short for people out for exercise or to walk your dog you have nice paved paths. If you want to go off these paths to hike you have options. All will eventually lead you back to the main paved path. If you are heading into the wooden areas I recommend hiking shoes. Also, if you don’t want to deal with the nonsense of the main lots by the dam, this is a great option.

Always love coming to this park. A lot of parking lots to find parking but if it's a nice weekend (summer) you better get here early because you will not find any or will be closed due to no spots. Go through the main entrance hit stop sign make a right go all the way down the road to last parking lot. This is where you should start. Canoe rentals, water fall (small) food stand, grills and tables. Good paved trails all through out with off the beaten path trails all over. If you are on the off path just watch for horses that people ride in the park. Me I enjoy walking the trails to photograph the wildlife.

I affectionately call this the dog walker's park. Come Saturday or Sunday and show off your canine friend. And if you're thinking of getting a dog, this is a great place to see lots of different breeds and talk to their owners.
The Boat House Picnic Area is the main area of this park. Here you'll see water spill over the Weir Dam. While there is no swimming, people love to wade themselves and their dogs in the Neshaminy Creek. You can launch your small water craft at a public launch above the dam or rent one at the concession stand. There's lots of picnic tables in this area and a playfield behind the parking lot. Bicycle on any of the paved roads in the park.
There are numerous trails in the park, many with their own parking areas. The Covered Bridge Lot in the northeast section of the park is the shortest trail to access the covered bridge. It is also a starting point for horseback riding and includes steps to mount a horse. There are four approved horseback trails in Tyler State Park.
If you enter the park from Twining Ford Road, you'll be on Betz Hill Trail once you enter the park. This is a popular walk for the many locals who live nearby. Part way down the road, you can veer off onto the White Pine Trail. The private White Pine horse farm is located here.
Another park entrance for horse riding is at the Tyler Park Center for the Arts. The Arts Center has a building for programs and a field featuring outdoor sculptures. Access the Number 1 Lane trail here.
Driving east, you'll come to the Fisherman's Parking lot. Access the creek, the Stable Mill Trail, or start your horse ride from here.
On the other side of the Neshaminy Creek is the Mill Dam lot. Follow the handicapped accessible Tyler Drive Trail to the dam.
Further up Main Park Road is the Lower Plantation lot. It's a nice spot with a ballfield to picnic and start the Quarry Trail.
The Upper Plantation has the only reservable pavilion in the park. Of special interest here is one of the top ranked disc golf courses in the country maintained by the Bucks County Disc Golf Alliance. The Alliance offers tournaments, clinics and leagues.
The park office is on the Swamp Park Road entrance which meet the Main Park Road. Further up is the Hickory Nut picnic area which is usually only for groups who reserve it. There is a volleyball field here.
Next on this road is the Boardwalk and Maze areas with picnic tables and a playfield in between.
Back at the Boat House Area, you can find your way onto several hiking trails. I hiked the Neshaminy Creek Trail with friends up to the covered bridge. I found sections very muddy and a scattering of horse dropping throughout. You can do the Mill Dairy trail instead.

There is so much beautiful scenery at this park it can be overwhelming at times. The spots down by the water and walking trails are great for photos and time with the pups and family. We even found an open field later right before sunset with amazing views. Don’t forget to grab a photo permit so you don’t get in trouble.

Very beautiful state park. They have canoe and kayak rentals on site, you can fish, wade through the water (there's signs that say no swimming), paved walking paths, horse trails and hiking. Trails were really well maintained and weren't difficult. The scenery is gorgeous! It was a little crowded (we went on a Thursday), so I'd imagine it's packed on the weekends. Great place for dogs and kids.

I always love coming here! Seemingly endless trails and beauty, so close to home! It is wonderful any time of the year! I thoroughly enjoy visiting today with everything covered in snow. So pretty! And the main tracks were plowed nicely. Trails through woods are still nice for xcountry skiing. Also plenty of open fields for such.

This Park is really fantastic. Big. Stuff for kids and adults. Great for cycling, mountain biking, hiking, and the disc golf is the best I've seen anywhere. 36 well maintained holes with excellent elevations. There's a historic replica of a covered bridge you can walk or bike through.
If you've never been start with the waterfall parking lot and explore from there.

It's challenging with all the hills...some are quite steep. There are many interesting highlights like the covered bridge, the creek and the waterfall. If you're there at the right time of day you're likely to see many deer...they really add to the ambiance.

Great places to see, lots of paved & unpaved walking trails all over the park, there is canoeing, picnicking, Frisbee golf and lots more, just relaxing under a tree or sunning in a field, taking photos of nature in her many states. It is a great place to lose yourself for a while while you soak up the pleasure of being out in nature. It is an all season adventure and the park changes magnificently for each one. It really is an enjoyable place to visit often.

Great place for the outdoors! They have a kayaking or paddle boarding rent house near the river starting at $25 an hour. There is lots of wildlife and clean trails. The ice cream truck comes every so often to the main parking lot next to the bridge.
