Ashley's Restaurant and Bar

This place is right around the corner from where we live. They have good food and some excellent entertainment. We discovered Anthony Della Barba, I would highly recommend checking him out, he's a very talented singer with a huge range from Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, and Bruno Mars.

I think we have a winner!
We drove in from just north of West Chester and have added Ashley's to our "regular" list.
I was quite hesitant at first as I had read comments about the lack of parking availability. But on a Friday at noon there were at least a dozen or more spaces still available.
I think the problem arises from the fact that they seem to have a large dining room and a large separate bar (not open when we were there) with additional seating. If both are in use, like in the evenings, there would definitely be a major parking problem.
Ashley's is clean, bright and airy with walls done in a trendy greige with white trim. The high- back chairs at the tables are comfy and good quality. The table settings have cloth napkins. And very importantly, the lady's room is beautiful.
The extensive menu is imaginative and some of the entrees are served in beautifully shaped bowls.
The salad bar, which may be ordered as an entree, is mind boggling. You really need to walk around it a few times to plan your plate- there are that many quality items.

We came here on a Thursday, about the time they opened (11:15am). We drove up from Delaware, about a 20min drive. When we arrived, the restaurant was spotless and the hostess was friendly. We sat at our booth and our waitress asked us for our drink order and then we told her "we're here for the Salad Bar". She smiled and let us do our thing!! For starters, the salad bar was massive, fresh, and colorful and boy did I load up my plate (I actually had 2 plates lol). My mom ordered a crab cake dinner to go, but the chef made it broiled. We informed our waitress and she apologized and let the owner (Kevin) know. Kevin was very nice, apologized and gave us a complimentary dessert which we got a raincheck on because we were soooo stuffed from the salad bar lol. By the time we left, the restaurant was full of people and lively. There's also a nice sized bar on the other side with an area for live music that the restaurant hosts and an outdoor deck/patio area. I highly recommend Ashley's Restaurant and Bar for an afternoon lunch or an evening dinner. Great for small or large groups.

The establishment is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, providing a bright and inviting atmosphere. The salad bar is particularly impressive, with everything in its proper place and nothing out of order. I often choose to sit in the bar section, as it offers high chairs for my children. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, and the management is always present, ensuring that everything is running smoothly. I would like to express my gratitude to Joe, Jason, and the rest of the staff for consistently exceeding expectations.

Clean everywhere. Salad bar is kept full and neat. Greens are fresh, and Rice Pudding is delish. Wish we lived closer to make this a place to frequent. Everyone in our group was happy with our meals. Salmon, Tuna melt, Chicken piccata, and Grilled Chicken, no one was disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ashley's Restaurant, The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the veggie burger with sweet potato fries.
The salad bar at Ashley's is a veggie lover's paradise. It was beautifully displayed, and the variety of fresh, locally sourced ingredients was truly impressive.

Visited with friends, this was the second time we tried to come. First time we couldn’t even find parking so skipped going but this time we got lucky. Parking is hard, I truly recommend parking down the road and taking an Uber or waking. Parking is horrible, and it appears to be so all the time. So take warning. Parking aside the food is fresh, and everything was absolutely delicious. I’d like to go back and try more of the menu because the salad bar was super fresh. I also had the stuffed chili relleno and that was delicious too. My friends has a grilled cheese and some fried mozzarella and a burger. The sweet potato fries are amazing and the sauce is out of this world. Not sure what it is but it’s sweet and savory almost like a Smokey honey mustard but way better! Get some you won’t be disappointed!

First time here! Wow! The salad bar is the best around if you can even find one at a restaurant anymore. The food on the salad bar was fresh with many choices including seafood. Salad and deserts. I believe the Rice Pudding with raisins was home made, it was very good. I had wings, onion rings and ribs, and had enough to take home. I will go back when in this area again. They have a pizza oven too!

one of my favorite restaurants for sure!! absolutely delicious meals. the crab dip is a must, i get it every time i come.

I tried this place for lunch and I was impressed with the salad bar. Everything we ordered tasted great. We took food home. I asked about the Sunday brunch . It ends at one pm. I wish it was at three pm. My son is making his communion and I was looking for a place to eat afterwards. I I wanted to see the place and taste the food. Extending the time of the brunch buffet is my only suggestion. When you have a large party the buffet makes more sense and allows people to sample various dishes. This creates more business.

Set back, so if you may pass it and need to turn around! Food is good, inside, it’s a bar, with an extended outdoor bar and a dining room if you rather not be in the bar.
Order from the menu, lots to choose from but let me tell you, awesome salad bar!
If you want a special treat, go on the nights they have live music.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal and with good friends this afternoon. We had the Chicken Ashley with sweet potato fries and a salad. Excellent! And they made a good gin and tonic! (Forgot to take photos, sorry!)

Our 1st time here for a birthday brunch and boy o boy was it the BOMB! From the pleasant welcome as soon as we entered the building.. to the boss of the restaurant Kevin coming to our table to say hello.. He was the BEST💙 The place was spotless & Kevin's energy is what makes the place! The food & atmosphere was unbelievable! We cannot wait to return to try more items on the menu.. Oh, ,& the salad bar was FRESH and outstanding .

Large group but a variety of different foods for everyone’s palate. My favorite was the Fried Pickle spears. It was a work meeting to get together since we work from home now. I was impressed with the 1st time there & would go back if I’m in that area again. Staff was great bring drinks & food.

Is a very clean place, restrooms, decoration, service, prices are awesoooome. Feels like you are going back to your own town. Salad bar great!!! I love it definitely coming back and recommending it to our friends. There should be more places like this 👍👍👍

I love this place. Half diner half American sports bar. Really nice, great local crowd and family friendly. For diner food it's a cut above. Great drinks. Great atmosphere. A winner

Wow is this place a surprise. I thought I was going into some little Neighborhood Restaurant. This place is well lit, and although it's a little crowded with tables the food makes up for it.[I actually think the crowded tables is something they had to do to accommodate the lg. amount of people who want to be in here to eat.. ]there is an a nice long salad bar with plenty of fixings. Plus all the extras you expect like macaroni salads and bean salads ,potato salads Etc. SALAD BAR comes with your entrees as your salad. There is a large brick oven for pizzas and it provides a nice ambience. Off to the left when you enter is a bar area which is closed in. They have entertainment[ check which nights ] And plenty of seating. I was amazed at the size of the menu and considering how packed it was for a Wednesday (we had a hard time finding parking and getting in)... the food came out rather quickly. Much to my partners' surprise their steak was perfect! He asked for it to be medium rare. We will definitely be back.
We visit this area pretty often to see Longwood and the other attractions in Brandywine Valley .

Great place to eat. Salad bar is the star of the show. Very nice. Big selection of toppings.
