GIANT Pharmacy

Giant has been the best pharmacy I've ever had. My insurance requires me to use mail a order pharmacy, but when I need an urgent prescription I have historically gone to rite aid. I always felt like I was an inconvenience to them. Over the past few years their service has declined to the point where they were closed for multiple days without warning and I couldn't get urgent prescriptions. That's when I decided to try Giant. I never realized how poor rite aid's customer service was until I started coming to Giant. Everyone has been so kind and my prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. I don't have to worry that I won't be able to get my medication, or that I'll be treated rudely. This review isn't meant to put down another pharmacy, but the difference in treatment and service is so clear that I will never change pharmacies again!

I always have a wonderful experience with all the staff of giants from the seafood department to the deli to the overall staff they do a wonderful thank you to you all

A big shout out to Barry, the pharmacist at the New Cumberland Giant! He truly cares about his customers and helps in any way he can to help curtail the cost if prescriptions. Barry is a great asset to Giant. Barry, thank you for all you do!

I have enjoyed my pharmacy experiences with all Giant Stores since i have shopped with them. Naturally, there have been a couple of hiccups over 20 something years shopping with them, but great store.

Wonderful service just wish you had more of the things I order.

I normally have a great experience with giant pharmacy. However, one particular Saturday afternoon I went to pick up an antibiotic for my daughter and wasn’t thrilled with the way they handled the situation of it being out of stock. I gave about an hour for them to fill it before I went to pick it up. When I got there the pharmacy tech informed me they didn’t have it and I would have to wait 2 days for it to be in. She was apologetic, but honestly I would expect them to have at the very least called to inform me of this. I feel they could have offered other options as well. I had to really dig to figure out what else I could do to get the antibiotic without waiting (as I would hope the pharmacy would realize if you need an antibiotic, you probably need it right away to prevent complications from an infection). After several questions about possibly getting it from another giant, the pharmacist (who was a female, and not the male pharmacist I normally see there) finally gave me the information I needed to get the antibiotic. If this were simply my child’s vitamin I wouldn’t have minded, but an antibiotic is a big deal to me.

Next time my child’s antibiotic order is out of stock I would really appreciate a phone call (especially since I did give some time before pick up) and to be made aware of the option to pick it up at another giant pharmacy (obviously I know this now, but others may not). I just wanted to make aware this is a situation that could be improved upon because like I’ve said I typically have a great experience with the pharmacy and their staff!

Seems to be difficult dealing with the lady pharmacist @ this pharmacy also I have to keep calling them to find out if medicine is ready etc. Mr. Barry seems good and explains everything others Not So much!

Doesn't properly rotate food products

Shopping on Wednesday evening at New Cumberland location. Two gentlemen behind the deli counter at 742pm asked for service one said we are closed. Posted hours say 8pm. Terrible

My husband i went to giant for a few things. As soon as we get inside the entire store smelled like a dirty bathroom. They had the company klines there with a hose from the front of the store to the back of the bakery. The entire store smelled bad and i complained to a cashier and she didnt do nothing. The other customers was holding their nose as well. Theres no excuse why they couldnt wait til midnight when they close to do this. Not to mention its not sanitary. All of this is unacceptable. I will be calling to make a complaint about this to corporate in the morning.
