If you are headed through or past Mill Hall it’s worth the stop to check out the new shop. It’s conveniently located next to Millers gun store. As I found my way to the new store hoping they were still in business last week, I was very pleased to see the new shop and the huge inventory they have. I picked up some leaders, tippet and a few flies last week. I noticed a perfect replacement for my bamboo native Brookie rod. He has a great selection of rods and reels for the fly fisherman or the bait chucker. They have a great selection of flies and equipment too.

I drove out today and bought the ECHO 7.6 4WT Glass rod. Set up with my LeLand reel and a new cortland line.

Great informative friendly atmosphere.
He has live bait as well.

I stopped at JD's to buy bait for a recent fishing trip to Sayers Lake...all I can say is WOW! This tackle shop has it all! Huge selection of equipment for all species of fish, fresh bait, and most importantly a friendly and helpful staff! The new store is absolutely beautiful and well organized. They even had a great deal on a Okuma ultra light reel that I wish I would have taken advantage of. This will be my "go to" store from now on when I make the two hour trip to fish the lake in October and if you have any "deals on reels" I will be sure to buy one !

I highly recommend. If you are looking for some good quality fly fishing gear or just normal fishing equipment I'd recommend going hear if you live in or around Clinton County. This is and will be my new go to store for my fly fishing gear.

I stop in here all the time to get bait and I'm always satisfied. They don't have a huge selection but it's perfect if your need a last minute item before a fishing trip. I can get a big can of bait for a fair prices.
