Hyner Run State Park

Beautiful, peaceful campground with tall evergreen trees for shade and the constant babbling of the stream. Some sites definitely seem more workable for a camper than a tent, and some seemed like they might get quite soggy in the rain. Sites 22, 23, and 24 (on the bend of the campground road) looked like they might be the nicest, but are also the furthest from the bathrooms.

Modern, clean bathhouse with flush toilets and hot showers. Outdoor sink for washing dishes or clothes.

The pool looks well maintained, however we were there just before it opened for the season. Small play area with swings, a slide, and a basketball hoop.

Nice State Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday weekend stay in the campground. Peaceful and relaxing. Make sure you make a run-up to Hyner View. You won't regret it. All the campsites look fairly level. Definitely recommend a trip here.

One of the rarest park with well built swimming pool and lots of pleasure space for camping!

Gateway to the PA Wilds. The lodge was great. Everything provided except bedding and towels. Kitchen has everything you will need. BIG living room. Lots of hot water for showers.

Extremely clean and beautiful park for a peaceful gateway. I spent wonderful two nights and came out fresh. The sweet sound of Hyner run creates a nice background music relaxing your soul all the time. The Hyner run waters are crystal clear, such clear waters are said to be found in farway lands, but it is present in Hyner run.

The swimming pool and restroom are world-class.

The nearby Hyner view is out worldly, and it is an unbelievably mountain top view of Hyner.

America is missing here as you will not find any chain brands in the area. So you will get experience of how America was before the chains.

The campsite is equipped with amenities such as fire rings, picnic tables, and restrooms, providing a comfortable outdoor experience. Falling asleep to the soothing sounds of nature and waking up to the vibrant melodies of birdsong is an unparalleled joy.

Wonderful campground among the spruce trees!

This is a modest park with 30 campsites and a cabin. The pool is easily accessed by foot over a nice bridge (see picture) and there is a play area with a weird fake rock. The park has an unusually large number of picnic tables (150) and two pavilions.
Hyner Run has excellent trout fishing.
Trails in the park are part of the 90 mile Donut Hole Trail System. The 4.1 mile Long Fork Loop is more manageable.
Snowmobile in winter and hunt in the season.

A beautiful state park located in the scenic PA wilds! This park has a very nice campground with shower facilities. There is a nice swimming pool to cool off in on those hot summer days! Many areas with picnic tables to enjoy a weekend road trip or to host a family picnic. There are also many trails located within or very near to this park so the park could function as a base of operations for outdoor adventures. Do not forget to go up the mountain to Hyner view!

Love this place! Been coming to this beautiful campground my whole life! They have an amazing, freezing cold but amazing pool! With newer changing rooms/ shower houses.
You don't need to camp there to get a shower either. Showers were $4 for non campers I believe. We stop by for showers often when visiting our cabin in the area. But anyway it's rarely ever full. Every time we stop by the pools pretty much empty but it's still open. They haven't been charging people to get in, but donations are accepted!! Just make a donation in the box on your way in or out. Just a great campground all around, and it's so beautiful.

Stayed at site #12, non electric. We were right along side the creek. Nice site. But it was at an odd angle. (For our tent, a camper would be great here.) Bathrooms were very nice and clean. 2 showers. 3 sinks and 5 stalls. A nice changing room for pool use.
This is a quite little park, I would recommend.

This is a quiet little park for camping and fishing- great place to get away from crowds and summer heat.
Want a butt kicker hike? Walk the road up to the overlook, then come back down through the woods on one of the hiking trails.
This is one of my favorite parks.

A great starting point for many attractions nearby in sproul state forest. Multiple trails, nearby other state parks and wildlife. The park itself has campgrounds a pool, large picnic areas and a cabin that is maintained by the park. A fantastic park all around.

Great Place to Camp, Bathrooms are super clean, it has a changing area and Showers, pools is clean and great for kids.

Very nice well maintained park. Came down for the day to hike the Long Fork Loop and had an enjoyable visit.

Did primitive camping outside of the park. Get a permit ahead of time. They do not permit tent camping in these primitive areas. Hyner Run water is rated AAA so you must use self contained camper & take advantage of the dump station at the State Park $10 fee you can dump waste & refill your water tanks. Firewood is available at the park & from locals selling on the roadside.
