Surrey Consignment Shop

Surrey consignment shop is one of those places I’ve been going to for years. I realized I had never left a review after I had been in the other day.

There are always so many cool things to look at in this place and the stock rotates a lot because things are priced to sell. Funds raised go towards the nonprofit which runs the store, Surrey Services. Surrey provides all sorts of amazing care and services to senior citizens.

The store is staffed by volunteers. So those lovely older ladies you see when you go in are ALL volunteers.

It’s a really nice experience to go in there even if you don’t find anything because the store is welcoming and so is the staff. And if you are a vintage and antique treasure hunter like me, it is an awesome spot to find something you might not have known you were looking for—— or a gift!

Some of my favorite things that I always find there is cool, vintage jewelry, and I have found a couple of my favorite straw hats there and I love vintage purses. Also rugs and furniture. Specifically chairs. I often have chair envy when I’m in there looking for stuff. Wishing I had more room but I don’t.

I would also note that consigning with them is so easy and such a pleasant experience! Things sell fast that are consigned in the store. Probably because the store is super lovely inside and easy to navigate and again another plug for the lovely people that work there!

I love Surrey consignment shop. I have found all sorts of decorative items, jewelry, gifts, as well as great furniture for my home. Liz, the manager, and the volunteers that work there are so friendly and helpful.

A lovely, well organized shop for a good cause. Items included: furniture, assorted home decor, glassware, some accessories, and jewelry. As a consignment store the contents will vary. Prices are reasonable and discounted based on how long on their shelves. It's a gem.

Read the list of items accepted, got there and only 1 item out of 25 would of been accepted. And there is $20 fee to consign. Only takes more high end crystal, lenox and jewelry.

All personnel is very nice except the manager who has been unwelcoming and extremely difficult to work with when I inquired on the consignment options. She put a wall of objections and made extremely clear she didn’t want to do business with me. Passive aggressive and not business minded. It is very unlikely I’ll come back. Too bad because they have good stuff.

Store manager was difficult and rude to consign with. She emailed my paperwork incorrectly 3x. When I picked up unsold items (scheduled a time and day with her) items were not ready, she walked around the shop tearing tags off and handing me items. When I asked for bubble wrap for the mirror she abruptly barked back she did not have any bubble wrap! I will never do business or refer business to Surrey. Sad because the proceeds go to a good cause which is why I chose to consign with them. They are in desperate need of a professional manager to represent their cause.
