Al's Melons Farm House and Greenhouse

I highly recommend trying one of their sandwiches. They feature high-quality meats and scrumptious bread, complemented by a diverse assortment of fresh produce and delectable sweets throughout the store. Additionally, the large outdoor slide is a kids favorite, making it an essential stop every time my family is in the area.

Al's Melons is always a great experience. Today was exceptional. The kind woman running the Red Barn Ice Cream part of the store gave superb customer service. The other employees in the market and the greenhouse were also very kind. I love coming here and will definitely continue to do so.

Local fruit market, deli, and greenhouse in the Conneaut Lake area. Our first night there was Friday, Labor Day weekend, and picked up some corn on the cob among other snacks. We went back to get 2 dozen to take back home with us it was that good. They carry Walnut Creek products, which I only mention due to trying the cinnamon rolls that were conviently placed by the check out. There is also a playground on-site for the little ones to play. Staff was welcoming and helpful each time we were there. If you're in the area, stop by and check it out.

I really liked the greenhouse. I bought some plants but haven't planted yet since it's cold. I got zucchini plants, brussel sprout plants, and a variety of pepper plants. I also bought herbs such as sweet basil, and Italian parsley. I bought at least 18 plants in all for 19 dollars. I thought the price was reasonable. The workers were friendly and helpful to come to your assistance. They are a great place to go to for fresh milk, butter, flour or sugar. A little pricey but your getting quality.

Super fresh produce at a great price! The associates are wonderfully knowledgeable. Parking is a breeze too!

Great little market for veggies, home canned products and deli meats. Plus, they have free coffee, restrooms and a dining area.

I’ve stopped here several times for produce or plants. They typically have a nice selection. Today we also bought subs. They are huge! I had the meatball sub, and Dad had the Al’s special. Both had a good bread to meat/toppings ratio. They were delicious, fresh, and made to order! They have a few tables there if you wish to eat on-site, and it clearly is a local favorite for lunch as the line was long at 11:30am. They had a great system for taking and completing orders quickly, so the wait was only 5-10 minutes despite the number of people placing orders.

Love this place. Fresh deli at reasonable prices, but for me it's all about the produce. Local items when available have been great. Today, I got zucchini and corn. Last year I bought tomatoes for canning. They were good quality and price.

They also offer hanging flower baskets, novelty items, and a variety of self labeled pickles, salsa, fruit, etc. I do my own, so don't know how those items are.

As summer progresses, this will be a destination for our fresh produce.

This is such a wonderful family owned business! When I walked through the door I was greeted by friendly staff. My daughter and I felt very welcome at this business, we both got a sub, chips and a drink for under $10! I strongly recommend this place to any family to visit, especially during the fall season! After our meal we spent some time on their on-site playground and slides! SO MUCH FUN!

My girlfriend and her family frequent here for the subs. I tried this place when I visited the area for the first time. I’m from Virginia and don’t have many sub shops (other than common chain restaurants). This is by far the best sub I’ve ever had. I ordered an Italian sub (what I get everywhere I go) and everything was perfect. The toppings seemed to be fresh and probably right off the vine or plant. Couldn’t be happier with the food. Only downside was the time to make the sandwiches took a little long considering the lack of business. Other than that, it was perfect.

Al's always has great customer service. The quality of the produce is top notch. At Al's not only can you get produce, local honey as well as plants and flowers for your garden. Highly recommend. The subs that Al's makes are delicious!

Always great produce, always great service, great subs too. If you need something specific like a 50 pound bag of taters, call ahead and they will let you know if they have it and if they dont they will help you out. I dont buy produce anywhere else and the milk in glass bottles is excellent. Prices are good too. Local honey as well. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

We stopped there for pumpkins. They had a great selection and were relatively inexpensive. I could get little pumpkins for $3 a piece and pumpkins that were 18 in tall for about $12. They have great prices on locally grown produce in their inside market as well.

Got a sandwich at their deli which was huge and very reasonable. There was so much meat on it. Their deli has a great selection of meats and cheeses, and their fruits and vegetables are very fresh. They also sell eggs with double yokes, which is really cool. Ad if you like spicy cheese, they have a Troyer Farms Scorpion cheese, which is extremely hot 🔥.

Great place to get fresh and tasty fruits and veggies. Although I was going to buy a basket of tomatoes for the basket and they said that I couldn't have it, I was very disappointed because that basket would have come in handy to hold my clothes pins in when I hang my laundry out to dry. Other than that, It's a great store to shop at.

We love it here! Subs are delicious & their deli is amazing. Lots of seasonal fresh fruits & vegetables. They also have a nice variety of other foods & merchandise available.
