Brandywine Valley Bread

Great little bakery offering the area some quality food that it's been missing for years. Everything I have tried off the menu has been good. Shout out to those Morning Buns for making mornings lovely again. Bagels are delicious and the Pretzels are probably the best I have had (I eat a lot of soft pretzels).

Absolutely love Brandywine Valley Bread, the bagels are always fresh and taste like they come from NY. But if you get one thing, try the morning buns! Their bread is great and is a great addition to any meal. Occasionally they have something new on the menu as a surprise, so it worth checking in each week to see what they have. Staff is great and it’s truly family run.

I finally made it in before they were closed or sold out. So glad I did. I'll make a point of getting there, hopefully weekly. I purchased the seeded ancient grains bread. It is the best bread I've ever eaten. Their bread is life!! Worth every penny. Very friendly staff. I wish you could give more stars!!!! So good! Don't be fooled by the shopping center sign that reads "bagels". It should read, "best bread on the planet."

LOVE that their bagels are sourdough. They’re huge. So good. And they offer a vegan cream cheese too. I adore this place. It’s always delicious and quick.

The cutest store in the area with amazing bread and coffee! The owners are so incredibly nice and you can't beat that local feel and the warmth of their store. Not to mention they have some of the best bread I've ever had!

The best bagels and bread around! They source locally and are open Wednesday-Sunday but try to get there early in case they sell out of what you’d like. Picture is from one of my first visits there, 6 sesame and 6 everything bagels. They offer bagels with spreads but not a breakfast sandwich. Check their social media for menus. Hard to go back to grocery store bagels off the shelf after you’ve tried theirs!

I love they have vegan options!! The vegan spreads taste delicious! I usually struggle to find dairy free/vegan spreads, so I was really happy they provided that option!

I bought a loaf of the wheat sourdough bread and it is DELICIOUS…either toasted or room temperature. My pup liked it too…not intended for him but…you know!.

This is hidden gem! Top quality, tiny bagel and coffee shop…no seating inside…two tables outside…that’s it. Products are baked on-site

I am not normally a bagel person but the texture and flavor was perfect. I ended up splitting the bagel with my daughter so next time I know I need to get more. We will be back!

Family run business providing delicious breads, pastries and cookies. The Chocolate Spelt cookies taste incredible, but you've got to be there when they're put out because they sell quickly. Their Morning Buns are fluffy, sweet and also a fast selling item. The sourdough loaf is a great tasting bread for those who are sensitive to gluten.

Hidden gem and definitely the best bagels in the area! The morning buns are amazing as well! I wish they had breakfast sandwiches and offered more variety, but I also understand why they limit their daily menu.

Yum! I read about this place when I started to search for good crusty bread near our new home and have been waiting for an opportunity to give it a try. (Don't live near Downington.) We finally were in the area today so I got my chance to grab a loaf -- delicious, and just what I've been craving. Any chance you'll be expanding in the future?!

Just picked up 1/2 dozen bagels (already ate 2) and a baguette. The bagels are amazing and give me New York vibes. Testing out the Baguette tonight but I expect it to be excellent. We will be coming here for our future bread needs. Keep it up!

I am gluten intolerant and I can eat all their baked goods with no problem. They are not technically gluten free but they are ancient grains which many gf people can eat (though obviously eat at your own risk). If you want to have that delicious, soft, non-crumbly bread experience again that gf can never achieve, then give this a try!

What a spectacular place. I've heard about it for a couple years but with covid making a first trip there has been on the back burner. Today we actually went and it lived up to all the hype. This is really an authentic bakery with the most delicious bagels bread and tomato pie. This place is hands down the absolute best bakery certainly in Chester county but maybe in Philadelphia area. If you like really delicious fresh bagels, bread, coffee and tomato pie you should really try this place.

BVB is hands down the best bread my wife and I have had outside of Italy. When taking a bite of this bread, we feel transported to a different place. It also helps that the owners are kind and awesome people. Bagels are phenomenal as well, and the croissants are out of this world. If you like bread, pastries, and bagels, then you MUST try them!
