Born and raised in Philly, so when I say the Cheesesteak here are good, it's not coming from a novice opinion. The bread is fresh, and the Cooper sharp cheese and meat were plentiful and delicious. If you're in the Chester County area, stop by Joey's and get one.

Pizza is absolutely amazing! Easily the best pizza in the Downingtown area. Nice thin crust, excellent undercarriage, perfect amount of sauce with a great flavor, and 4 different types of cheese - it’s the stuff dreams are made of!

What a gem! Cheesesteaks were soo good and as a bread lover, it doesn't get much better than this. They deliver fresh bread from New Jersey daily. Absolutely well done.

So this cheesesteak has been showing up on my newsfeed in that cheesesteak group constantly, finally tried it today.

Joey’s Pizza in Thorndale getting rave reviews from the people. I actually lived in Thorndale for a very brief, yet significant time in my life. Never heard of it until joining this cheesesteak group, so maybe new-ish, or maybe just unaware of the happening spots of Thorndale, PA.

In any case, this one lives up to the hype. Starts with the seeded Liscio’s roll, which holds up well to a steak with a juicer meat. It all starts with the vessel, and this is a great one. I don’t know anyone that likes slabs of steak, but some ppl do like finely chopped or almost minced steak, I’m one of them. But this is not that. This is some sliced, medium to small slices of really good quality steak. That is probably what stands out here the most. Very good steak to cheese mix. Nothing worse than biting into steak missing the cheese. It has to he incorporated well, and they certainly did here. We did cooper sharp with onion. That’s probably the only minor complaint, onions were cooked great, just wish there were more of them. Joey’s Pizza worth the hype.

Best cheesesteaks and pizza around, and it isn't even close. Joey and his team couldn't be cooler either. Check this place out if you haven't had the chance, the food is INCREDIBLE!!!

Visiting from Florida, but grew up in Jersey eating pizza in NJ and NYC. Been on the planet for over 60 yrs, and this is the best pizza I ever had! Super thin crust, slightly overdone (love it like this), fresh ingredients, with great tasting sause. I believe Dave Portnoy would score this high based on his favorite style. We had a plain cheese & a margarita pizza. Loved them both!!! How lucky is the Thorndale/Downingtown area to have a shop like this. No need to travel to NJ, NYC, or Connecticut to get excellent pie. I understand they have great cheese steaks too. Going back before we leave to try😎. Spoke to Joey (owner) and discovered he was born & raised in Coatsville but through trial & error has perfected an excellent pizza using the best ingredients. He made all the pizzas while we were there. Small dinning area, but modern and clean. Service was good, but not super friendly. They have a handwritten menu which made me a little nervous at first. It’s in a very modest stand alone building with plenty of parking. If Portnoy ever goes there, this place will blow up! Don’t walk, run and get this outstanding pizza!
PS: there is no beer, even though the sign out front says so😳

Today's pizza and cheesesteak stop brought me to Joey's Pizza in Thorndale. The cheesesteak made with Cooper Sharp and onions on a seeded roll did not disappoint! The meat was seasoned and coated just right with the creamy cheese. Onions were perfect and not overbearing. We also tossed on a cheese pizza that was great. As my buddy said "This pie has a great under carriage. " No flop and great flavors. This place hit the spot. Do your self a favor and give them a try.

I stumbled upon this plan planning a trip to Delaware. Saw a video on TikTok on how the cheesesteak here is awesome. It wasn't wrong!

Beautiful location. Very clean and tidy. While waiting you can watch the mastery of the pizza making....which made me regret not ordering a pie! If you like your pizza "tight and well done" like Dave Portnoy, this looks like the place for you.

They bring your food to your table and clean up after so don't forget to tip accordingly!

The best cheesesteaks & best pizza made by the nicest people. My family from out of town always request Joeys when visiting. Orders are always accurate and ready quick.

An absolutely exquisite cheesesteak, and a very nice pizza as well . Clean, pleasant establishment, with an open view of the kitchen. There are only four people on staff, working their butts off making pizza and steaks, ringing up customers, and taking phone calls, so don’t expect super fast service when they’re busy. Good food takes time, and their food is in high demand for a good reason.

We had a family dinner at Joeys Pizza in Thorndale. They recently refurbished the space and it is wide open, clean, streamlined with clear lines to the kitchen. I believe it is family owned and operated, at least that was the feel and vibe given off. Great atmosphere! Everyone was very attentive. We ate in and hung out and watched everyone coming in for takeout.

Now onto the food. The reason I went was to try the pizza. I like my pizza well done. This was perfect. The pizza had plenty of flavor. The pepperoni added a nice amount of flavor. The dough was crispy. The pepperoni was a bit greasy but nothing shocking. Fantastic, flavorful pizza. Definitely will be going back.

Now the cheesesteak. My son said it was the best he has had and loved it. He said that is why we have to go back. I loved the seeded, Liscio’s rolls. Meat was good, there wasn’t a ton of cheese. I didn’t get onions or peppers as I think that will add more to the taste. Next time. Overall, it was a very good cheesesteak.

I know Speer has the place in West Chester that I absolutely love. So this place didn’t disappoint!!! Very excited to add this to the rotation.

It’s so good that you have to eat a slice immediately upon pick-up in the car.

Chicken cheesesteak with cooper sharp and fried onions was legit 10 out of 10. Knew it would be good when I saw the seeded rolls, but it exceeded expectations. Would normally put ketchup or hot sauce on but this one didn't need anything. Fast takeout service too!

Loved it, we don't live in the area so we just googled some pizza places and the pictures of the pizza 🍕 made us go. We had Mozzarella sticks, cheese pizza and fries. Dined in. Everything was great! Will stop again while in the area.

958th different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. I don’t think they count as guest eaters but Blackstone Betty and her Blackstone Grill Posse were at Joey’s. Speer has renovated the place and it looks great. New seeded Liscio’s roll, Levan Bros meat and cooper sharp cheese. I love a Liscio’s roll but you have to be ready for this roll. It is their high end roll and has a thicker crust. Love Levan Bros meat. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. I would have liked a touch more cheese. I love the upgrades but I would absolutely love to see a caramelized onion, sauteed mushroom and less oil on the cheesesteak.

My kinda pizza! Thin with a great crunch and chew and they’re using great ingredients. The sandwiches are just as good too! Seeded Liscios rolls, ribeye, cooper sharp American cheese… all the makings of an epic cheesesteak.

I got a cheese steak & medium cheese pizza. Little expensive, it was $29 and change but damn was the food delicious. Not something I would personally buy every week but when I want to treat myself, I'm definitely going here again.

This is Fantastic Pizza! All I can say is wow! Truly unique and one of a kind for our area. The style is very close to New Haven, CT Apizza.. Coal fired, charred and crisp. A little more expensive than your typical average pizza but, this is NOT your average pizza! You will not find this anywhere in PA and it's totally worth a splurge. Great job Joey's! (I wish I lived closer...lol)
