Notepads, great candles and candle holders.A wide variety of cards and coasters. Something for everyone. If I had my own vehicle I would have loaded it with furniture as well. When we had our kitchen/dining room combined into one large “farmhouse” type kitchen, we knew just where to go for our table, chairs, freestanding storage cabinets, counter seats, and decor. This beautiful store has it all in its two buildings.

We’ve also bought other small furniture items along with birdhouses, coasters, mats, etc.

Wonderful furniture (and much more) displayed beautifully combined with friendly, knowledgeable folk…we love this place!

PS…We shopped all over Lancaster for our kitchen and always came back here…very fair prices for such beautiful workmanship!

The craftsmanship and reasonable prices of their furniture are incomprehensible in this day and age of imported, mass produced furniture. Their furniture is truly an investment and will last several lifetimes! In addition to the furniture, their all-occasions store and gift shop is the perfect place to get gifts for all occasions and holidays, no matter what time of year.

We had been searching for various pieces of furniture for our home with no success. Then we remembered Carter’s in Ottsville Pennsylvania. This place is amazing! They have a store up front when you first pull in with great gifts, Christmas stuff And all kinds of odds and ends. Then when you pull to the back to the left there is a Long building loaded with all types of absolutely beautiful handmade furniture most of which they make right there! Ryan who helped us was so nice to work with. We ordered two tables and picked out a bedroom set. You can take the floor models but they will make everything new as long as you don’t mind waiting!

Was told by a friend that I must go and see this store. OMG! What an amazing store! With awesome furniture, awesome birdhouses, awesome things to buy, seasonal items and great gift items too! It's not just furniture. But the furniture is handcrafted! Gorgeous tables, chairs, and handcrafted wood items. Whimsical items too! The owner's daughter is behind the register and she was so sweet and kind. And so helpful! I bought a birdhouse, a very cool vulture sculpture made of wood, and a patriotic panda bear which is so one of a kind! I am thrilled! I'm a lifer now! I will be in many times a year! My friend told me that around holidays they have the best things to buy so I will definitely be back!

Carter Handcrafted Furniture is a gem. We have had multiple pieces built there since we bought our home in the area five years ago - a barn wood dining table, a china cabinet, and a set of living room tables and media center. Also purchased an upholstered arm chair. The service and craftsmanship is unbeatable. The staff in the show room is helpful and there is so much to choose from or have custom made. Low pressure and higher quality than you will ever find in a mass-produced furniture store. Love this place!

Carter’s is the best for quality, price, and friendly and knowledgeable customer service. Ryan and Mark are extremely helpful at bringing ideas to life and the furniture is top quality. No one comes close to this family operated company.

This place is amazing!!! Not only adorable in the store but service was fantastic, listening to what we wanted, changing things with no problems, workmanship outstanding, delivery guys were respectful of our home and moving in the new furniture.
I couldn't be more in love with my new bedroom then I am right now!

Very high quality 'boutique' sort of store. Many handmade one-of-a-kind pieces. Can make custom to-order chairs, tables, etc. Upholstered furniture to-order. Many items made on-site. Helpful, friendly, no-pressure staff. Highly recommended.
