The Commonplace Reader in Yardley is a gem for book lovers like me. There's nothing quite like the feel of a good book in your hands, and the smell of fresh pages as you turn them. It's a feeling that just can't be replicated by e-readers.

Whether you're in the mood for a thrilling mystery, a heartwarming romance, or a thought-provoking memoir, the Commonplace Reader has got you covered.

Cute store reasonably priced and friendly staff. They had an author event today and my daughter was so excited to meet and buy some books from local authors.

Such an amazing addition to Main St. Located right across the street from Wawa, this bookstore is like a hidden gem hiding right out in the open. The book selection is great. I've purchased a few stellar reads along with gift cards for loved ones. Awesome experience for the kids too. Stop by and take a look for yourself. You won't be disappointed. I also hear they have book clubs!

Terrific addition to Yardley's Main St. A true labor of love. Welcoming in every respect, from the front porch to the various arrays of books to the helpful staff. If you love experiencing books in an environment that loves them as much as you do, Commonplace is the place.

Small and beautiful local book shop.
They had many recently published books across multiple genres.

Well organized and clean.
There are even book clubs that meet here.

My mom bought some cute cards, but we did not purchase any books.

*not a USED book store.

Love this awesome small town bookstore. Great vibes for kids including play trains and a Harry Potter closet. Fave spot in downtown Yardley is the front porch swing. Always enjoy browsing for books here and staff is super helpful

I love this local bookstore! It is such a nice place to go with the kids and let them play at the train table while you look around and pick out books. I also love that they have a pride table set up which makes it easy to find good books that showcase diversity. I get all of my books here!

My kids and I had such a great experience at Commonplace Reader! My husband and I have been looking for some new books to help teach our kids about pride month. Staff member Calli helped our kids find their new favorite books from the pride table in the history section of the store (in case you wanted to check out that specific table too :)We will be coming back to commonplace reader for more educational, inclusive books!

I came in to pick up a book my mom ordered. Staff were friendly.

Also, it is great to see an independent bookstore in our town. Keeps money and jobs in our community 🙂👌

Also I am a big fan of that vintage claw-footed round table they have. Jelly.

Commonplace Reader is such a great addition to Yardley. My favorite local bookshop. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly- especially Tracey. I love the ease of ordering books online through their website and the ease of picking them up with plenty of ample parking. Besides books its a great place to pick up a locally handmade card or children's gift in the upstairs nook specialty toy shop. I pride myself on shopping local and I implore my family and friends to never order a book from Amazon again and instead order from Commonplace Reader. Highly recommend!

So important to have a local bookstore! It really makes a community feel complete; they always offer more than just books. I love stopping in for a card, to see the art, and to browse new books. I've ordered many specific and sometimes obscure books and they've always procured them for me. Truly above and beyond. I remember for the holidays I ordered a copy of James and the Giant Peach. Liz called me to say they had one in stock but it was scented, and asked if I still wanted it. The sensitivity to check with me meant a lot as it was actually a gift for a family member with asthma and allergies in their household. Cannot recommend them enough!

I LOVE this store. The selection of books is incredible and the atmosphere is topnotch! Just take one look at the wrap around porch and you'll be hooked! Independent book stores are truly a treasure. You MUST visit this one if you are in the area.
