Kazoku Bistro

Our group had a wonderful dining experience. The staff were kind and knowledgeable when I didn't know what something was. I ordered salmon, which was delicious. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. Thank you.

Everything we had was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The shrimp tempura and vegetables tempura were the best I've ever had. I even tried a sushi roll with escargot and enjoyed it. My mom enjoyed the hibachi salmon and scallops. Their hot sake is good too

My husband and I took my mom here after her final chemotherapy treatment and upon arrival, we were personally greeted by the owner who held the door open for my mother (who has a walker). He also personally seated us and went out of his way to make sure that we were seated close enough so my mom didn't have to walk very far and get tired out! After being seated, we perused the menu and found lots of great options! My husband and I ordered two bubble teas and I can honestly say that they were the BEST bubble teas I've ever had! I could not stop thinking about how good they were even after my meal, lol.

We only had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes for all of our food to come out, which was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. You can tell that the chefs made so many things from scratch instead of cutting corners like other places do. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely DELICIOUS! After our meal, the owner came over to thank us personally for coming and told us a little bit about his life and how he came to open this restaurant, as well as possible plans for expansion which sound so exciting! Also, when finding out that we were celebrating my mom's last chemo, he gave her the biggest hug and was just such a sweetheart.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We all had a fantastic experience, absolutely delicious food, and left very very happy. 😊

We had a wonderful experience here and will soon be back. The fried rice was the best ever for me and I had the seafood plate which was season 2 perfection! Soups were awesome and the atmosphere is good, nice and clean. But I think a little mood lighting would seal the deal for this restaurant. Best wishes and thanks for a wonderful dinner!

Awesome place! Wish I could give it more then 5 stars!!! My wife, 3 kids, an I ate here earlier today. He haven't really eaten at places like this & weren't sure we'd like it but food was delicious!!!!! My wife did misread the menu & what she got ended up getting tempura not knowing it was batter fried. She loved most of it but is more of a baked/broiled girl lol & she asked the waiter about it & he explained that part of the menu. "We're newbies at this kind of food" a couple minutes later I believe a manager came over & was super nice & even offered to make her something else to her liking. Will definitely be coming back here!!!!! Great waiter & manager & great food!!!!

I highly recommend stopping for lunch. There was a group of 7 of us after a morning of "early holiday" shopping, and Kazoku did not disappoint! The lunch specials were SO flavorful and the portions plentiful. Our waiter, Winston, was extremely professional and knowledgeable when it came to our questions regarding the menu choices... And he was right.
This was my 2nd visit, dinners are also amazing, and would highly recommend giving it a try - I know I'll be back!

What an amazing atmosphere! This is what I have been looking for since my time in Japan! The food is beyond extraordinary- my personal favorite being the Chicken Katsu Curry- always reminds of the Japanese dishes I have grown to love. There is an amazing amount of Sushi Rolls as well- so anybody can find one they love.
Also, I am super impressed with the selection at the bar- Sake and Japanese beers can never dissapoint! And if you get the chance, try the Tempura Ice Cream! That one is phenomenal!

My first time there and I love it! The tempura vegetables were cooked perfectly! I had the California roll and the Spartan roll, both were delicious but the Spartan roll was next level!! Will be going back very soon!

Oh wow! I’m not sure why Sparta has some of the best food within a pretty wide radius, but in addition to Matsumoto Ramen down the street, Kazoku is a GREAT place to visit! I’ll often order chirashi (mixed sashimi over rice) to get an idea of a sushi restaurant’s general excellence - and I was pleasantly surprised with one of the best bowls I’ve had anywhere in the upper Midwest, under $25. And it was generous - 12 different proteins in my bowl!
The fish smelled fresh, and had subtle lovely taste and texture.
We also ordered the spam musubi, which came with a very potent eel dipping sauce - highly recommended appetizer.

If you’re from out of town - it’s worth the drive!

Had a delightful late lunch with the family and the waitor (Winston S) was extremely polite and patient the whole time. Everyone really enjoyed their orders and the atmosphere was very peaceful and welcoming. Will be coming back again!

Loved it! Everything was delicious but sushi was the best. You can pay from your phone which is convenient. Will be back many times.

My wife and I have eaten at Kazoku Bistro several times and have always had a great experience. The authentic Japanese meals are served in large portions, are affordable, and are delicious. Wait staff are always helpful and kind, and the kitchen crew are experienced and well guided. Chef AJ’s extensive experience in the restaurant industry and his Japanese background are apparent in a large variety of authentic Japanese meals. I especially like the Teriyaki Salmon-Bento, and my drink of choice is Strawberry boba tea. As a community we are quite lucky to have Kazoku Bistro in Sparta. This type of high-quality, specialty restaurant is normally only found in big cities. We definitely enjoy it, and Deb and I plan on eating there regularly.

My wife and daughter have gone here a few times; I was in town and I tried it myself. The food was good, the appetizers were deliciois along with the soup. The waitress was very sweet and attentive, the owner was there as well and asked us how everything was. Most important, the Boba drinks were delicious, we each got a different type and my daughter's was the tastiest. I definitely recommend this place along with supporting our local small businesses!

I’m so very proud of my son Tony, his wife Abby and their bff’s AJ and Tawnya. AJ is an excellent cook and the food portions are big! You will be greeted with smiles and good food! Sparta needed this!!

I have eaten sushi and gyoza here twice now. Both times it has been absolutely fantastic. The pacific rim roll is a dang homerun! Good thing I dont live in Sparta or I would be broke.

We enjoyed all aspects of our visit. From the welcoming and friendly staff to the overall environment. Beautiful artwork is displayed throughout. The food was very good and affordable. We will for sure be coming back. I'm so happy to have places like this in Sparta, so we don't have to go to LaCrosse to eat out as a family or a date night.

This is our first time here. 15 minute wait (not a problem). Sat and chatted with the bartender (very friendly). Before you know it, the food has arrived, and the presentation is spot on. The flavors are amazing. So delicious. Will be a new favorite spot.
