The storefront for UDairy Creamery serves up super-local treats. You can even visit the cows! We went during their Pi Day promotion and got mini pecan pies a la mode for $3.14. My everyday flavor recommendations are either 1923 (if you like a vanilla base) or Delaware River Mud Pie (if you like a chocolate base).

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this delightful ice cream parlor. The ambiance of the place was charming and inviting, with cozy seating arrangements.

The staff behind the counter were friendly and enthusiastic, ready to help me navigate through the plethora of flavors and toppings available. Their menu boasted an extensive range of both classic and unique flavors. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful explosion of sweetness, leaving me craving for more.

Whether you're a die-hard ice cream enthusiast or simply looking for a delightful treat on a hot day, I highly recommend visiting this ice cream parlor.

As an alum of the University of Delaware, UDairy Ice Cream holds a special place in my heart. There's something incredibly nostalgic about indulging in homemade ice cream, and UDairy delivers that blissful experience with every scoop. It's like a taste of yesteryear combined with a dash of quirky innovation.

One of the things that sets UDairy Ice Cream apart from the rest is their adventurous range of flavors. From classics to the truly unique, they never cease to amaze. Back during my undergrad days, flavors like 1923, Fluffernutter, and Blue Hen Tracks were my absolute favorites.

The rich and creamy 1923, with its velvety chocolate base, always managed to transport me to a simpler time. Fluffernutter, a whimsical blend of marshmallow and peanut butter, was like a childhood dream come true. And who could resist the delectable combination of peanut butter cups and fudge swirls in the irresistible Blue Hen Tracks?

Now, as an alum and a parent, it's a delight to bring my own kids to UDairy for an after-school treat. It's a way for me to share the same joy and love for homemade ice cream that I experienced during my time at the university. Watching their eyes light up as they try unique flavors and create new memories warms my heart.

The atmosphere at UDairy Ice Cream is equally inviting. The staff is friendly, always ready to offer suggestions and samples to help you explore the array of flavors. Whether you're a student, an alum, or simply someone in search of extraordinary ice cream, give UDairy a try. Trust me, your wallet and taste buds will thank you.

Delicious ice cream!!!! We walked through the UD Botanic Gardens and then stopped by for ice cream and it just never disappoints! We also got there just in time right around 6:45 because the pool closes at 7 and there’s usually a swarm of people that come over. No problem though because the line moves quickly! Great flavors available, the portions are GIANT and the everyone who works there was so nice! This is definitely one of my favorite ice cream spots in Delaware!

Ice cream and more from the U. Delaware cows, made and served by friendly U. Delaware students. Unique flavors, great taste. The store also sells frozen meat and honey from their agriculture program animals and bee hives. Plenty of outdoor seating, you can stroll in the botanical garden which is right nearby.

Absolutely delicious! Each custom ice cream is bursting with flavor and smoothness. There are unique selections to choose from so its like a party regardless of what flavor you pick. The staff is very friendly and patient. You are offered to try as many samples just so you can choose your favorite custom home made ice cream. I returned a week later and included a waffle cone in place of the cup. You will NOT be disappointed whatsoever, so pick a day to come here and be pleasantly surprised.

I’m not the type to wait in line for food but we were craving ice cream. This place did not disappoint it was worth the 55 min wait in line. The peach green tea ice cream was delicious and not overly sweet. And the jazz berry brownie & Delaware mud pie was yummy too.

Great experience at UDairy. University of Delaware's own creamery brand. I went with Botanic berry, which is a seasonal flavor.

This place is great 😊 just as good as when I was younger. The students freshly make the icecream and serve it to the public. There are alot of flavors to choose from. There are even seasonal flavors so watch out for those. Be prepared for the long lines in the summer around 530ish. But don't worry there's both outdoor and indoor lines. The flavors we got today were the cake batter, Delaware river mid pie, All nighter, and plain old strawberry.
All flavors did not disappoint. The cake batter had actual real pieces of cake !! The scoops are huge!! I had a waffle cone with 2 scoops and it weighed like a pound. For all the icecream and waffle cones we got it only costs $12. They have plenty of hand sanitizer and Napkins!!! If you are in a hurry or can't decide they offer flights of 4 flavors for $5 or pints / half gallons. They also have custom gallons made to order at advance notice !! Or they have sundae kits to take home!!

This place is located right next to the ice rink and in front of the UD pool. Parking is free on the side for 30 min or for U creamery guests only.

So come on out and support a local creamery!!

I stop here one day last summer and now this is the only place I buy my ice cream from. It’s better than the stuff I buy from the grocery store. Highly recommend coming here for a cone or two.

Maple Ice Cream with Praline Pecans and a Aaramel swirl

The Buttery Caramel Ribbon was 😋
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hubby and I both got one. He always picks the good flavors lol.

The Maple Ice Cream has a very light flavor. If you like Butter Pecan you will love this!!

The Pecans were flavorful and did I mention how buttery the caramel was? lol.

There was a line as expected on a beautiful evening. It did move, but hubby and I did use the mobile order as he can't stand to long. The mobile order was fast! Curbside.

If you go, it is worth the wait or use the curbside option.

We can not wait to go back for another treat!

Amazing flavors, great service every time. Ice cream is fresh, with unique flavors. There will be something for everyone. You will not be disappointed. I love it. The one bad thing is that the location in Wilmington was closed. Please bring it back.

A-Mazing! We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and stayed near here and visited every night. Ice cream is reasonably priced and very tasty. The array of flavors is almost overwhelming, in a good way.
