Great little restored old hotel! I had a good nights sleep, and the location of the hotel couldn’t be better. There’s lots to do in the downtown square and it’s within walking distance. The continental breakfast is a little weak but there’s plenty of other places to eat, the rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. I would definitely stay again.

Hotel Arcata is perfect for a quaint and clean stay. I would recommend it for anyone that doesn’t mind a little noise. You might consider ear plugs if you want to sleep through a weekend night. Overall, a charming and comfortable place.

I was welcomed into this historic and incredibly centrally positioned hotel by an incredible front desk clerk named Renee. Her relaxed and warm demeanor really set the tone for my time in Arcata. She really established the fact that this town is a special place because it is filled with special people like her.

Stayed just one night Thanksgiving week but wish we could have stayed longer. BEAUTIFUL historic hotel with all the comforts you need. Awesome location.

We wanted an old feeling hotel since we went up there for a WW2 event. We were not disappointed. We loved it. Small cozy room that was safe in downtown.

Great views of the Arcata plaza, especially during the North Country Fair and Oyster Fest! Plus Tomo restaurant is right below and has the best Sushi!

This is a classic hotel with a unique old fashioned charm with modern upgrades to the rooms. They claw toed bathtubs in the bathrooms. In addition the rooms facing the famous Arcata plaza have an excellent view of the plaza and all the exciting events that take place on it all year round. The oyster fest and north country fair and if course the world famous Kinetic sculpture race is a must see every May.

Chilll ghostly vibes at this classic hotel establishment. It’s been around for awhile so a lot has happened inside their walls. If you believe in ghosts then this place is definitely haunted. Great place to stay if you like to be near the hub of Arcata! The decor of the hotel is amazing!

Con: returning late at night can be a hassle as they sometimes lock their front door so you have to knock and wait for the late night hotel attendant to come and open them for you.

Quaint, old timey, and central. Hotel Arcata is right from 1917 with all the charm. We had a very comfy and clean stay right on Arcata square. Any hotel with a bathtub big enough for me is always a favorite.

Hotel Arcata is a very cute historic style hotel. We had a gorgeous claw foot tub in the bathroom. They have wonderful historic photos everywhere of the building and the town. The concierges were very helpful and friendly. Overall a wonderful experience! Plus it was my very well trained dog’s 1st time in a hotel and he did great!

Excellent and attentive service at this beautiful hotel. Booked a full-sized single and was very impressed with its spacious layout and massive windows. The bathroom was huge with a clawfoot tub and wraparound curtain for that extra old school feel. The water pressure of the shower nearly knocked me off my feet - just how I like it.

I stayed over a holiday weekend, so don't feel commentary on exterior noise level is fair, but the hotel IS at the heart of a small but bustling downtown community. Still, I slept comfortably and look forward to my next stay.

Special thanks to Zach at the front desk for being so accommodating.

Fun, comfortable, kind staff. Cool, old-fashioned decor. Close to lots of places to eat and shop. Our room was small and didn't have AC, but did have a great paddle fan. We opened the windows, but then the street noise was a bit loud. A good value and out of the ordinary.

When I stayed here the rooms were amazing and the people here are very nice and the service was good except the front desk but it was fine and the location was not the best but it’s whatever

We spent 3 nights there in a two room suite. You have to accept it is a really cool, old school building. The building has been adapted to more modern expectations without ruining the antique feel. We loved it.

Cute historical place. Had a small clean room, everything worked fine. Restaurant and Bar are excellent! Right on the town square. I wanted to be there, but it there were a number of celebrating students outside who were quite noisy. There are earplugs at the front desk.

Room was clean and the staff were kind and helpful. Parking directions were clearly outlined at check in. With the provided parking pass you can park almost anywhere outside the plaza. Just pay attention to the signs.

Walls are thin but given the age of the hotel it comes with the experience. Would certainly stay here again in the future. :)

Cute, old hotel in a cute area. We didn't read the amenities and were caught off guard there was no AC but we just opened the windows and it was comfortable. And finding trustworthy parking early evening the first night was a hassle but everything clears out after dinner time.

Hotel Arcata was outstanding, superb indeed! Before and during our stay, I had special requests w for my mama, Sherrie and the very helpful, very warm staff happily and enthusiastically made it happen. The room was wonderful& had everything we need, we sure can’t ask for anything more. Btw, there’s no ghost here! It was rather peaceful and just great. Because of my experience here, I’ll bring other fam members to enjoy it too!! Thank you Hotel Arcata!
