Wow they came to my house, they took over, they left and my house looks bright, new and smells great. I cant wait till next week, the girls are so quiet, kind and professional

Had a property showing with one of their managers last week. At the end of a showing she offered us the two bed house. We didn't say anything for a brief moment and she said if we wanted time to think about it we could have it. But my partner jumped in, telling her his answer was yes. Then I expressed that I was a yes too, that I was in love with the rental property. She seemed surprised at first, then smiled and said she'd speak with the owners. The next day we received a phone call saying we were approved for the property, and that we should expect paperwork emailed to us for a digital sign later that day (Friday, 9-23-22). In that phone call we were told that on Thursday 9-29-22, we would meet with her or a rep of Humboldt Property Management on that day to receive the keys and begin the move in process. We both signed the paperwork that same day. So now, in two days, we will be moving in!

Working with this property management was so smooth and easy compared to a lot of the other property management companies we had applied to in our search. I would recommend this management to my best of friends as well as any acquaintance I have. They are that easy to work with. If you get the opportunity to express interest in one of their properties, at least based on my personal experience, be prepared for a very smooth, easy process to get a property that will work for you. Current tenant of six months.
I had signed a lease agreement for a studio in a two-unit home. The other resident was incredibly disruptive. When I complained, HPM worked to void my lease without penalty/liability, and allowed me to move to a unit that is 3x bigger with quiet neighbors (close to my work?!) for just $100 more per month. I am so grateful and feel respected and cared for as a tenant, HPM went above and beyond with me on this one.

To quote SWIM... "HPM is soulless, but NOT vindictive."

In regards to the receptionist... I am pretty sure she is in her twenties (around my age) and pulls her weight around the joint! She's the only human from the company I've interacted with in-person during my six months as a tenant. She does apartment showings and paperwork as well and has always seemed really sweet to me.
In my experience as an employee of many companies in the triangle... receptionist duties often (thanklessly) fall on employees who have a lot of other work to do, and few administrative privileges! Hiring practices can't fall on her either! Have a little patience and grace, it's rough out there.

The game is rigged, HPM doesn't make the rules, but they were willing to work with me to bend the rules and move me to a different property. I am stoked! Thanks for all your work.

I've had very pleasant experiences with Humboldt Property Management. They have been very professional and organized. I like their online system for paying bills and dealing with maintenance issues. I had a serious leak problem with my garbage disposal and filled out their maintenance form online. The next day someone came over to replace it. The apartment's great and the management company has been great. Thank you for dealing with my issue so quickly.

Wow, so many negative reviews from people who have never actually rented through them. My experience was positive. They were non-invasive but helpful when needed throughout my tenancy. Answered all my questions and were quite polite. Never encountered any rudeness. I kept my home clean and was able to recieve most of my deposit. If I lived in the area I would rent with them again.

Here is my past due review. Although its been a couple years since I rented from Humboldt Property Management, my experience with the staff was excellent. Its not easy securing housing for 5 children and a dog, especially as a single parent, but Allen was willing to meet with our family, review and approve our application. I followed protocol before, during, and after our tenancy. All maintenance issues were handled promptly. Even our deposit was returned to us. We are moving back to beautiful Humboldt County and will seek them out again.

I love h.pm.... If they are rude to you maybe its because u warranted that kind of response. I have never been treated bad by them , and ive only rented from them for the last 10 years.their places are clean and kept up . i pay my rent on time and let them know when i need something fixed. also the maintenance department has always handled my issues politely and Quickly . They are the best in Humboldt county . I Highly recommend h .p.m.

Humboldt Property Management is a highly reliable and professional property manager. We were very pleased with how quick and responsive they were about the maintenance of the property we were renting. They are a fair and honest business which my partner and I would wholeheartedly recommend! -Keep up the awesome work HPM!

This organization has exceeded my expectations. They do what they say and say what they mean. I foresee a long tenant landlord relationship lasting long past the lease agreement. I want to thank them for their help in my relocation to Humboldt County.
