Bayside Farmstead Café

I've probably driven past this place a dozen times and not realized what I was missing out on. The food was phenomenal. I got a breakfast burrito with pulled pork and my wife got the bean bowl. The burrito had just the right amount of spice that it didn't overpower the other outstanding flavors. You can expect a typical cafe style restaurant, order at the counter and seat yourself, food is brought out to you once the culinary experts finish putting the final touches on it. The atmosphere however is anything but typical. There was a gentleman softly playing guitar in the corner, artwork displayed on the craftsman/bungalow styled walls, and the soft clatter of the espresso bar. 10/10 would recommend!

This is a hidden gem in Sunnybrae! I found out about this place from a breakfast burrito picture posted in IG. I was looking for good breakfast burritos and it came up.

I never heard or been to this place before and when I looked at the pictures I was really interested to check them out. We we arrived, we were just in love with about everything. The spot is very cozy outside and inside. It is a great place for family friends, work meetings, anything you like really. I wish we had more spots in our area like BFC.

The food is yummy, not complicated or anything but flavor and light. The drinks are always spot-on and has so much aroma and flavor. The savory dishes are as equally delicious as the sweet ones. I am more of a savory person but when visit we always get both savory and sweet because they are just yummy and filling. The quality is fresh and clean and the quantity is right amount.

If you are visiting the are or looking for good breakfast/lunch spot give them a try. They also sometimes have specials and during fruit seasons the specials are so fresh and yummy.

Everyone at the restaurant is friendly and welcoming. I think couple of times we got greeted by the owner herself, which was really nice!

Nice spot in bayside to grab a bite to eat or a coffee. The breakfast burrito was decently priced and filled me up! I like to go a bit later in the day when it is less busy. Super sweet outside sitting area in front.

Really loving the cafe newly reopened as Bayside Farmstead! Chef is top notch and the dishes I’ve sampled so far have been impressive taste-wise. Reasonable priced for being high quality with tons of local ingredients. Can’t beat that it’s right around the corner 😄 they also have grab and go sandwiches and burritos.

Love this gem of a restaurant- the folks who run it clearly pour love into it and treat their employees well and it shows in the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the overall feeling of community they help foster. So glad they exist- the frittata is amazing and the baked goods are out of this world! Just had a walnut honey twist soooooo good!

Only wish - that they used A2 milk- low pasteurized local milk- like Alexander

Cute little local cafe, I had the waffles topped with fruit and honey, which were phenomenal, and my husband loved the breakfast burrito he got. Coffee was great as well, Lovely outdoor seating in the front garden. Highly recommend for breakfast, would definitely come here again!

I always get the breakfast burrito, it’s delicious, it’s my fiancés favorite as well. It’s so flavorful, filling, and well priced ($10 or add avocado and bacon for $1 ea) We both always add avocado and bacon and it’s still very reasonably priced. The breakfast burrito has black beans inside, which I admit the first time I had it I was skeptical when I first saw them, but they’re a delicious addition because of the way they’re seasoned. Now the black beans are my favorite part. Really good food, we come here often now.

The food is delicious, nice atmosphere , the staff is really nice. There was someone playing live music when I went there on a Sat for breakfast. He was subtle so it wasn’t loud…making it feel cozy as I ate my breakfast.

First time eating here after the changeover in management and I am SO PLEASED! The savory waffle was to die for, the matcha latte was perfect and it made me really happy that now there’s a reliable, comfortable, cozy and delicious place to eat on Sundays in Arcata. Thanks to all who work there!

I love this place! Lovely atmosphere, kind staff and absolutely amazing food! Probably the best brunch spot in Humboldt. Don't miss out on the chive pesto and the bee keeper latte.

Fresh , clean open air atmosphere. From the flowers to the plants to the art on the chalkboards. Great selections available both food and beverage.I ordered the Caprese-ish panini with turkey and bacon. Totally delicious.
I had to come here again, and tried the Farmhouse Waffle.

Food is incredible, the bahn mie is one of the best things I've eaten locally in quite a while. Great staff, clean restaurant. Fantastic all around. Pay no attention to the people giving this anything less than 5 stars. By far the best local brunch/breakfast by FAR.

I can't say enough good things about this cafe! Their food and drinks are incredible and it's clear that all the ingredients are high quality and sourced with intention. Great customer service, delicious & creative menu, and lovely atmosphere.

Everything we got here was super fresh and delicious. The simple food depended on each ingredient being yummy. Awesome healthy choices that shine with flavor. We went two days in a row on our trip and wish we could go back again. Would love to try more dishes. Good value too and the service was personable even though it's counter serve. Food takes a while to come out since they are making everything fresh. The good coffee and great outdoor space, make it an easy wait.

I haven't had a single dish here that wasn't absolutely incredible.
1. The drinks are superb (the lattes are creative and well-made, and the soju bloody Mary sent my boyfriend on a bloody Mary streak that has yet to end).
2. I'm always torn between getting one my favorites from them (the farmhouse waffle lives rent free in my all-time restaurant faves) and trying something new, because I know that whatever I get will be amazing.
3. It's a cute, homey cafe with an adorable garden patio in Bayside. Hard to beat.
4. You can tell the staff really pour their heart and soul into it all!

Good food takes time, and good ingredients cost money, and this place does a fantastic job of delivering excellent food for a reasonable price and at a reasonable pace.

Amazing food and coffee, even better service. People here are genuinely putting out their best work.

Had a truly wonderful breakfast here. The waffles were flavorful and delicious without being too sweet. The Chai and London Fog lattes were also top-notch, and we appreciated the gluten free options. Will definitely be back every time we are in the area.
