This is just a really great place. I have enjoyed every single thing that I have tried here. The service is always great, too. Prompt and attentive, very fun, positive people working here. It's just a great place to be. Their homemade salsa is some of the most flavorful and delicious salsa I've ever had, but it is hotter than hell, so be careful! Their milkshakes are incredible. Like, legit milkshakes.

Love this place. Classic, simple local diner. Solid food at a very fair price. Doesn't feel like you're being ripped off for what you get. Super friendly, consistent staff. You see the same faces every time you go. I love when diners have a lunch counter. I come here for lunch whenever I work nearby and I've never had a bad experience.

I don't live in Santa Rosa any more, I haven't in ~20 years but I grew up there and EVERYONE knows Sam's! I was in town for the holidays and went there for lunch with a friend. The menu is enormous and while I was tempted by the all day breakfast, I landed on a French Dip sandwich that I had been craving. If you are anywhere in the area, stop by, you'll be glad you did!

I absolutely love this place, was in kind of a not-so-great mood today and honestly this place always puts me in a better mood. Love the fact that this place hasn't changed since I was a kid and I'll always recommend this place to people looking for classic diner food.

Wonderful first experience at this down to earth Diner/Cafe. Our waitress was great. Food was good. They made everything easy. We had a burger, an egg sandwich, French toast and a salad. Loved the puns on the staff name tags! We will be back.

Always a delicious and delightful experience. Low turnover, which means they treat their employees well and we get to see the same friendly faces year after year! Been visiting Sam's since I was in HS and I'm 47 now... that's how excellent and consistent they are.

Great place!! One of my favorite go to places. Never disappointed. Food is always good. Service is always friendly & prices reasonable. Love the atmosphere & all the cute nostalgia that decorate the place. Highly recommend!!

Staff all seems so happy to work there - they are very welcoming and provide great service. Enjoyed the avocado omelette. Their salsa is spicy and has such a great flavor. They also made great bloody marys.

Great food at great prices served by great people. They have the best spicy salsa I've had in the county so far. The staff are very personable. There's a reason it's a part of my friend group's regular breakfast rotation. There's plenty of places to park within a short walking distance if you have trouble parking in their small lot.

I ordered the Biscuits and gravy and it was so delicious. These biscuits were so moist, fluffy and full of goodness. If you like "biscuits and gravy", you will not be disappointed.These are the best north of Southern California. The best in California is at Flo's in Southern California. The staff in this place are awesome! Very nice people. The price is great and they give a lot of food. If you like your bacon like I like my men, thick and hearty, then you will love this place.

Service was excellent, food was flavorful. I enjoyed the waffle. The salsa was homemade and had incredible flavor but too spicy for me unfortunately. I really liked the homemade flavor of the breakfast burrito. The cook is doing a good job.

Always the Best Food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. My all time favorite is the Roadrunner sandwich, usually for lunch, and they have a great Prime Rib dinner too. The staff is Always very attentive, never have to wait getting their attention. All in all a Great atmosphere. Lots of old stuff at both places.

Not only do the waitstaff make me and my family feel welcome, the customers are so sweet! My toddler was extra fussy last week and everyone told me to sit down, a grandpa even offered to hold him! Hearty comfort food is always lovely! Thanks Sam!

Sooo Good! I had the Belgian waffle so fluffy & light. Great atmosphere kinda claustrophobic in there though. Lol. Otherwise it was great. Cleanliness is on point & the waiters & waitresses were very welcoming & polite. They cared excellent to your needs.
