I was hesitant at first to arrange for my own future cremation, but Francis (the woman who helped me) was soooo kind, helpful & informative. That was an amazing experience. And we got thru the whole contract with everything exactly the way i wished. I am very pleased with the whole experience. But then my family has always used Lima for our loved ones.

Yesterday I went into purchase a prearrange cremation plan for myself. I had a meeting with Francis Carrasco-Leyerly. She was very pleasant and friendly and explained the plan. She also covered some important details and legal aspects that I had not thought about. I definitely recommend the Lima Santa Clara Mortuary and it is a good feeling to have it taken care of and have the documents that I can share with my family

Tatiana went over and beyond with helping me plan my Mothers arrangements. She was kind, personable, compassionate and very thorough with any and all questions me and my family had. She was quick to respond by email with any questions prior to my Moms services, during and after. She’s amazing and I hope that everyone is able to experience someone like her when planning for a loved one.

I need to specifically compliment Tatiana, who guided me through making all of the arrangements, and Daniel, who kept me informed and on track both at the service and at the cemetery.

A number of friends and family who attended complimented me on how wonderfully well I organized the service and burial. I explained that it wasn’t me — Tatiana and Daniel made sure everything was taken care of so I didn’t have any worries or concerns as the day progressed.

Tatiana Kaska was very helpful and patient. My mom was having a hard time making decisions and Tatiana helped her understand her options. The day of the ceremony was perfect. All of my family members have had their services at Lima Family so I've been to the Santa Clara location many many times since I was a child. This time though was for my father who's the last in our family so it fell upon me to make all of the arrangements. I worked with Nathan who was very kind, courteous, and professional. After the arrangements had been made, he followed up with me every couple of days with the status of how things were going. In the end, everything was perfect from the public viewing to the day of the funeral. Amy was our director on the day of the funeral and was fantastic. She was so kind and understanding which made it easy for everyone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience...

I am so thankful for Margarita Carranza and the staff at Lima Family for the care and support they provided during the most difficult time of my life. Losing my husband shook me to my core and I was overwhelmed with knowing that I needed to arrange his services. From the first appointment to the day of service I was showed so much care and compassion as they walked me thru the process. Margarita listened to me to understand how I wanted to honor my husband and then was able to make all my requests happen. She even offered things I didn't know were possible such as keepsakes made for each of our children which they will cherish. We rented the house they have onsite and held all of the service and reception there. Being able to have everything in one place cut down on logistics that I just didn't have the capacity to deal with in my grief. The day turned out beautiful filled with lots of stories, love, and laughter of my husbands life. I am forever grateful to Lima Family for holding my hand every step of the way in honoring my husband as we laid him to rest.

I lost my dad unexpectedly and we have had my grandparents service provided by Lima Family Mortuary. This was my first time planning everything though. We planned a relatively quickly service and Tatiana Kaska was the Funeral Director. She was so fantastic to work with. Always getting back to me very quickly and providing me advice every step of the way with such grace. One of the photos we were printing didn’t come out well due to pixelation and Tatiana was sitting side by side with me to figure it all out. She really went out of her way to help our family through a very hard time. The staff on site were great the day of the service, too. We did the reception in the hall on site afterwards, and I highly recommend it for ease an simplicity of having everything there on site. Thank you Lima Family and Tatiana.

As a hospice provider I see the importance of preparing for the event of a loved one dying frequently. Now, being confronted with some health issues in my family, it was a no-brained to take the initiative and prepare the funeral arrangements to ensure peace of mind for us, but also for my children. Another aspect for this step is to think through wishes at end-of-life and make sure they are granted.
Frances at Lima was just wonderful to work with. She was professional but also had the right tad of humor that I needed in that situation. Pre-paring for these events don’t have to be all serious, Frances was able to keep the conversation just say the right level of ‘light’. I would recommend her to all my families.

If you want a mortuary that covers all aspects, I highly Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary. They provided top notch care for my mother's services. They take care of everything so you can focus on the celebration of your loved one. All the planning/coordination is done for you and with the utmost professionalism. Services: rosery, funeral and burial all ran smoothly without any issues. Staff know what they are doing and are caring and helpful. A bit pricey, but in my opinion, the cost was worth it.

In addition, I received the emotional support that was needed to get through this difficult time. The catering service was also excellent and food was delicious ending the services. My mother passed on Christmas Day 2021. She had an existing death/insurance policy with Dignity Memorial, so a portion of the planning was taken of. Dan, Frank, Jerry, and the rest of the Lima Mortuary Santa Clara staff made planning, preparing, and executing the remainder of Mom's details and services as organized, streamlined, and as stress-free as possible. They were easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Neither I, nor anyone in my family felt pressure to buy or do anything we weren't comfortable with.
Lima also helped us to transfer Mom from Santa Clara to another mortuary in Colma. The process went very smoothly.

The catering staff also went above and beyond; accommodating my request to limit indoor seating and maximize the outdoor space during Covid.

No one wants to be in the position of planning services for a loved one. Fortunately, the professionalism, timeliness, and empathy shown to us by the staff at Lima helped make the experience as smooth as possible.

I want to thank Lima Family Mortuary in Santa Clara for making a sad occasion so simple and respectful. Nathan was very helpful and responsive to my questions. Also, having the cemetery right across the street and then having the mortuary arrange the reception (the food was delicious) back across the street made it so easy for the out of town guests.
