Carlsbad by the Sea Hotel

Very nice location, right in front of the Carlsbad Premium Outlet. They have a shuttle service to drop off and pick up to and from Lego Land, which is really convenient. The room was okay and clean with friendly staffs.

We actually didn't stay at the hotel. We visited the resturants that are in the opposite side. There were so many different places to try. I wish I could have visited one more time before coming home.

Can't beat it. Good spot to bring the family. Has a secure place for kids to roAm around an outdoor bar. Good spot.

The grounds are very nice. The people working are very nice as well. The location was perfect. Do know that the restaurants close by close at 8. (99% of them) So if you come after Legoland it might be tough to find a place. The rooms though we're fine. Not stocked with soap and just a few towels. You can hear the people next door too. The location and shuttle makes it though.

First of All I like to thank you to Genesis the beautiful lady who helped us and everyone else at the front desk. She multitasked like no one I've ever seen. From checking people in, to answering phones, switching rooms for those staying, giving family guests coming from the pool (a adorable five year old lil girl) towels and all this with a reasonable attitude along with sweet smile 😊 I was brought up like...if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all. Learned "Also, just as you want men to do to you, do the same way to them." Luke 6:31 Golden Rule. I was raised in California my Husband and I are coming from San Antonio Texas. We came back to visit family and see my hometown views! 🎢🏙⛱ So far this Hotel 🏨 has been awesome 😎, a mini resort feel, the prices are affordable and the location is awesome! Nothing is perfect in life of course but, our stay here was not the Ritz Carlton nor was it the Motel 6. This is a good place to stop, get a bite, and maybe use the restroom as your headed northbound on the 5 fwy. It's right off the Palomar exit.

Great vacation spot! Rooms are clean and the service is great, good size pool with jacuzzi. Plenty of towels, and cabanas to seat or nap! It is next to a shopping mall, Legoland is a short distance from it, restaurants are a walking distance from it, and there is a food court just next to it!

What a great place to get away for the weekend. Close to Ruby's diner and Legoland. Next trip we'll go see on all flowers near by as well. Beds were comfy and amenities were great. Our room had a mini fridge that came in handy to keep our cold packs frozen and snacks and drinks cool. Definitely coming back.

It was a great suite with a nice view,pool , jacuzzi, and a small dining hall.

What a fun fun fun fun place to stay! The area is wonderful too! Everything is within walking distance, including the gorgeous beach! The nice thing about this hotel is the pool and there's also a fun play room with ping pong and other fun games. It is a very upbeat area with all kinds of happy people!

Love the location across the street from Carlsbad shopping outlet and 10 minute walking distance to Legoland. Next to the hotel is the windmill food court they offer a wide variety of foods. The hotel is clean, however, the pool was not heated so I couldn't utilize the pool. The staff is very helpful the gentleman that checked us in showed us where to Park. Room rate is reasonable.

The place is so centrally located minutes away from Legoland with a shuttle no need to go through all the entrance lines with cars or pay . If your bothered by noice definitely request a room more I side the property. Our door faced the freeway and it was horribly noisy all night no door insulation. Another possible issue are the beds... rock hard...No give what's so ever. Besides those really clean establishment. Read the signs in the room.

Fast check in. Clean room. Parking right in front of the room. Check out was also quick. Grounds well maintained. Beds comfortable. Towels soft. Microwave and refrigerator, very important to us. We enjoyed our stay.

Service was top notch! I was able to bring my dog, I had a lot of luggage and dog supplies. The front desk clerk met me at my car to help me. I was so pleasantly surprised and grateful. I then had car problems , I dealt with several staff who were able to try and get closest room available, since I had so much to move. The food recommendations from the hotel clerk was spot on...loved the windmill food mall next door. Already told several family we need to stay here for future trips.

Far and away the best experience I've had staying at a Carlsbad hotel. The service was great, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is heated perfectly, and the location is fantastic. It's right next to all the great Carlsbad attractions like Legoland, the beach is close by, and same with the village, but also plenty of shopping and great restaurants to choose from all within walking distance.

I had to make last minute reservations, which they were able to help me out with. I also had to extend my stay at the last minute and they were able to get it done.

All and all, it was a great experience. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Me and my daughter stayed here for our trip to Legoland. The service was great & they were accommodating & hospitable. If you look closely the outer hotel looks a bit older & shabby but the rooms were nice, clean with a modern touch. Great pluses that we enjoyed were the food hall connected to the hotel, the proximity to everything, minutes away from the beach, the Flower Fields, Legoland & shopping outlets! Also the shuttle to Legoland was a nice touch. My daughter really enjoyed her stay and wants to return.

Really like this hotel. Very nice staff and free shuttle to Legoland. And the food hall is awesome right next to the hotel. Great accessibility to a lot of things. Will definitely be back. Our room was booked through Legoland and we got a two day park hopper pass.
