Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa

The resort itself is nice and with very nice people. The family and I stayed for a week with it being convenient to LEGOLAND. The only disappointed I guess for us is we were expecting a balcony with an ocean view as advertised and we ended up with a room in the courtyard with a sliding glass door but you can’t step out of it.

I usually go to this resort for my birthday in March. When I told the check-in clerk Johnny it was my birthday weekend he gave me a $15 restaurant gift card AND a wonderful wine and cheese/meat/fruit platter. I was truly touched by the gift.

I enjoyed my first time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff, Johnny and Taryn were very courteous, professional, and friendly. Thank you Taryn for the late check out. Thank you Johnny for letting me know about the free shuttle service, offering me water, and greeting me with a smile all the time! Shout out to the bartender who worked at 7 Mile Kitchen on the evening of Monday, 1/8/2024. He was so personable, friendly, and cool as well!

I was also pleased with the room. The room was large so I had a lot of space, it was clean, and the bed was so comfortable.

I would stay at this hotel again, and I highly recommend it based on my first experience here. It’s such a nice hotel with great staff that make you feel so welcome! Thank you!

Beautiful and peaceful location. The customer service was outstanding regardless walk time you walk into the lobby. The atmosphere was that of excellent and the aroma as you walk down the halls seem to put mu body and mind around ease. The rooms are very large and the sheets smelled fresh which is a very pleasant surprise. Overall I visited here two separate times and both times would highly recommend it for business or pleasure. Two thumbs up 👍👍

Best place in Carlsbad area to stay. Perfect balance of resort and convenience. Walking distance to private entrance to Legoland.

The highlight however is the staff. We were impressed with the overall service and kindness of the staff. Taryn, Johnny and Sam were so accommodating even during a holiday weekend. Henry from the restaurant was so good w the kids and over and beyond. Def staying here again!

My family stayed in the Ponto Suites and it was perfect with a separate room for the kids and I could fit the crib in there too. The hotel has its own walking path into Legoland. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We will for sure be back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool!

Amazing stay! We went off season and were treated like royalty. The rooms were impeccable, the pool was fantastic, the location to legoland was perfect. Some notes:

The breakfast at the restaurant is very good. Scambles were top hits, and the chocolate chip Pancakes a hit with the kids. The lox is what I had and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The pool is so good for young kids. The depth is perfect, the waterslide was a huge hit!

The rooms are awesome, with an ocean view on the top floors. Water pressure on the shower is poor on some rooms (not all) and there is no ventilation in the bathrooms. Overall the rooms are very nice.

The staff are incredible. Kind, generous, and accommodating. All around super hospitable.

I highly reccomend this hotel for your stay in San Diego!

Rooms are big which is really nice. Shower was like a message. I bought their shower head off Amazon so I could have it at home! Towels are WAAAAY too coarse. The morning staff are amazing and super friendly. Even at the restaurant. Can't say as much for the night staff. The private entrance to Legoland is great. Would highly recommend if you're going to Legoland.

If you are going to LEGOLAND, this property is perfect! They give you a pass for the back entrance to the park which makes coming & going much easier. The Ponto Suite was perfect with kids (had a separate bedroom w/ two twins for the kids). Pool is beach-entry, waterslide (open seasonally) and big hot tub. All our meals at 7 Mile Kitchen were great (they have kids menus, too).

this is our 2nd stay at this sheraton in carlsbad. we were there with 3 other families for one of our kiddos birthdays, there was a problem with the kitchen and guest services with regard to birthday cookies, but the excellent service at the front desk took care of everything, and very kindly too. extra shout out to Taryn for all of her help and awesome customer service. love staying here, love the pool and the slide as well as the rooms and outdoor space.

We took our grandson to Lego Land. We had some issues with the shuttle service but overall we had a great time. At the restaurant, Henry was wonderful. I was in the hospitality industry for many years. You should be proud of him as a great service person._

Had a great stay!! The staff was exceptional. The restaurant was great and the pool is large and wonderful with the nice slide.

Very nice views of the ocean. Great overall property with two pools. The staff at the front desk are super nice and friendly. Full fitness center and it’s super clean with great equipment.

Omg OK so I'm using my boyfriends phone trying to find a ca hotel to stay in and it's like why doesn't the workers at the Sheraton like their jobs anymore? Like I wanna stay at a frigging lagoon when the one in AZ is like run down because of fires? Idk sounds Purdy dangerous to me...?

We booked the night to enjoy the weather and area attractions in San Diego, and as luck would have it, it poured rain! What a great hotel though to be rained in at, the rooms were spacious, with many great amenities. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and checked in on us when we were in the lobby, and pool deck area to see if we needed anything. We were enjoying our room so much, watching the rain and playing cards we had to scramble when it was check out. Room was clean, and the pool looked like an amazing time (if it hadn't been raining). We will be back for our next trip, hopefully no rain next time!

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton the night of his Christmas party and it was so wonderful. Regrettably I'm drawing a blank on the gentleman that helped us as the front desk but he was absolutely lovely at check-in. We enjoyed some gelato on site before we headed off to my husband's party. The staff was so accommodating, our room/suite was spacious, very clean, had a lovely view. It would be a perfect room to have your kids with you because they have a separate room with two twin beds. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to my friends. Because it was December we didn't use the pool, but it looks like a lovely area that's very family friendly. And the workout room is well equipped if you are the type that likes to burn some calories while you are on a business trip or vacationing. Definitely check it out. It's close to the beach and everything else that is "San Diego."

A good place to relax and unwind. A nice place to stay for families. Convenient location for Legoland trip.

My new favorite place to stay when visiting Carlsbad. Love the unique design of the pool and hot tub with plenty of room and little nooks for privacy. The food was excellent at both seven mile and 2020 for breakfast and appetizers. The room was quiet even though a bit far from the lobby and the gym was clean, equipped with everything that you need for a quick workout. The best part of this hotel is the free shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 5-mile radius. And that includes the outlets and Carlsbad village. This made it so that I didn't need a rental car. I ubered from the airport and used the shuttle.

Loved my stay here. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The staff was amazing and super helpful.

The cocktails at the restaurant were pretty good as well. Would recommend trying the spicy mango margarita.

Rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. The beds were so comfortable, good coffee, pool area so much fun for the kids, Hunter at the front desk was wonderful as were the ground staff. Such an incredible stay, we've found our regular hotel stay in the San Diego area!
