Our wedding experience at The Westin Carlsbad was amazing. The venue, the service, and the people made our special day unforgettable.

First and foremost, Julia, our incredible event coordinator who promptly responded to any questions we had regarding the venue, locations, package inclusions, bookings, you name it! She was there guiding us with expertise and ensuring that our day went off without a hitch and was quick to rectify any issues that did arise on the day.

A big shoutout also goes to the reservations team at The Westin Carlsbad. They made arranging a room block for our guests a breeze. Their efficiency and responsiveness were greatly appreciated, making the booking process smooth for our loved ones.

I can't forget to mention the Sheraton next door, who graciously allowed us to host our guests for a fantastic dinner the night before the wedding. Their hospitality and flexibility added an extra layer of convenience to our wedding weekend, making it even more special.

The Westin Carlsbad itself is a stunning venue with its breathtaking ocean views and elegant decor. We upgraded ourselves to the presidential suite and it exceeded expectations in every way. All the service we received was exceptional.

From a groom's perspective, I wholeheartedly recommend The Westin Carlsbad as a wedding venue. It's not just a place; it's an experience filled with love and care. The memories we made here are etched in our hearts, and we owe a huge thank you to The Westin Carlsbad for making our wedding day extraordinary.

Free complimentary valet parking for the day spa and excellent staff were just the beginning. “Sky” the massage therapist was very experienced. She took inventory of my issues and addressed each one. The facilities were extremely clean and the steam bath was one of the biggest and warmest I’ve been in.

This hotel is lovely but what made our time there extra special was the person at the registration desk…Jenifer!! We mentioned we were there for both of our birthdays, to play a little golf and try a new restaurant. No sooner had we arrived at our perfectly wonderful room but room service called as they had a gift for us! It wasn’t just a glass of champagne but a bottle of Prosecco with an amazing plate of delicious cheeses, fruit, crackers and bread! This was over and above what we would have expected. I have been a Bonvoy member for many years and rarely had this kind of service….please acknowledge this generous and thoughtful employee!!!

Beautiful resort! I stayed for 5 days last week and had a wonderful time. My room was clean and in a great location with a balcony and view of the coast. The gym was very clean, and the equipment was new and all working perfectly. My Marriott status gave me complimentary breakfast, but the prices were very reasonable for the location and quality, and I loved everything I tried, especially the lox and bagels and blueberry basil pancakes. Restaurant service was consistently cheerful and attentive. Valet was amazing, so fast to get my car and accommodating when I needed to leave it for a bit. All around a fabulous stay and I will be back when visiting my daughter again, thank you!

Room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Food provided during my meetings were very good. Great service from all the staff. Would recommend to anyone to book a stay here.

This resort is absolutely delightful. The staff are very attentive and friendly and cater to your every need. The spa is very inviting and the views can't be beat.

The hotel was beautiful well kept and well maintained with easy access to Legoland and food on site made it super easy.

The rest of review is based on the service I received from Corey. I had found out my my brother passed away when I arrived at the hotel and was a complete mess. Corey made the check in process real easy upgraded my room and sent comfort food and snacks to our room complimentary which is a lot to ask for as we had dealings with other hotels after on our journey back and none showed any empathy or did anything beyond their job. Sometimes when your away from home dealing with such a tough situation it’s very comforting to find comfort from even a stranger and Corey didn’t feel like one. He went over his job to show compassion and restore faith that humanity still exists.

For the very reason even though there is nothing for me to do in Carlsbad I will return to this hotel for its hospitality service friendliness and absolute beauty.

Great hotel and wonderful staff. Exceptional service. From start to finish. Great place to stay if you are going to Legoland. Walking distance with private entry. No lines. Easy in and out.

Weddings are stressful. But if you find a good location, you'll remember a special day. I'm glad we chose to do the wedding reception here after getting married last year. What helped made things smoother, if you don't mind, is having every event in one place - ceremony, social hour and reception.

July started the warmer summer weather so having it closer to the ocean felt nice. The extra large patio sold me. Guests really liked the patio. It was large enough for 120 guests (or more), string quartet, outdoor games, bar, & fire pit. The fountain made it lovely and lit up at night. The indoor reception area was open and modern with large glass windows on two sides and glass doors that opened out into the patio. They recommended 180 guests at most. They were able to fit the DJ & dance floor, cake table, photo booth, & an extra table for late night food.

The service was great. Professional & efficient. There were many people who worked to set up the wedding, during the wedding, and took everything down. I couldn't have been more pleased. Last, but not least, Julia, was super. She was patient, so helpful, and just put situations at ease. She, along with Valerie, were the "go to" people.

We had our wedding at The Westin Carlsbad and the whole experience has been nothing short of incredible! Julia was amazing to work with, communicative, and super accommodating. The venue was beautiful and made our day truly special. I highly recommend this venue for weddings!

Our stay at the Westin was perfect! We travelled with our 2 toddlers and infant. We were welcomed by Anissa who was amazing and assisted us in upgrading our room.

Anissa helped us book a suite with easy access to the pool and lobby… it was easy for us to travel back and fourth with a stroller and the suite was incredibly spacious. She also offered gelato coupons for our children. She offered advice for dining and helpful tips around the resort.

We will definitely be coming back. Also, the Twenty20 restaurant is really good for breakfast. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We had a great night at the Westin! Jennifer was so kind and welcoming at check-in. Our room was clean and spacious. Very close proximity to the flower fields that we visited. And, we enjoyed the back entrance to Legoland so we could avoid the front entrance theme park crowds. Can't wait to come back!

Our first time to the Westin in Carlsbad and because of the employees we will be visiting again very soon! Annalise at the front desk upon check in was so welcoming and kind, she was genuinely happy to assist me and shared lots of helpful info for me and my kids to enjoy our short trip. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the jacuzzi was nice and hot, my kids loved the pools and the water slide, the view from our room was breathtaking as well! We will be back soon!

I would love to give a shout out to Jennifer. We called one evening to see if we could get adjoining rooms before we made the reservation. Jennifer said she would look for our reservation to come through and add the request for us. The next day she called me on my cell to confirm that she saw that we booked our reservation online and confirmed we had adjoining rooms. I am in the hospitality industry myself and I have to say I was blown away by Jennifer's service and follow up. I really appreciated the effort she made to make our stay enjoyable; she really went above and beyond. I have told this story to at least 20 people if not more. Thank you, Jennifer for being awesome at your job and going above and beyond!

I recently stayed at this resort for three nights. The first night was the day of the FAA delaying all flights in the US. I was traveling from the East Coast and was delayed several hours. I called from my layover confirming a late check in as I was going to arrive over four hours after anticipated. Rachael took my call and when I got to the resort she had take care of me and made sure I had a great room with a fantastic view. She didn't have to do that but it was a fantastic gesture on her part. The resort is amazing and the three nights there were amazing. Great resort, great food, amazing rooms and they have Rachael!

My kids and I are traveling alone and have had so many hiccups but we arrived at this hotel after a hard morning, literally all of us in tears. My kid smacked his head on the counter, everything that could go wrong did. But Jack got the shuttle to us quickly, Jennifer was so kind and so accommodating checking us in, even giving us a bag of ice for the head bump and ice cream vouchers for my kids. My kids have twice, without prompting, at random, said “that lady at the hotel was really nice to us”. Our room was lovely, the shared property features are great, we loved the Legoland access. It was a wonderful vacation and thank you for making us feel at home after a rough start to our trip prior to this stay.

My husband and I were in town for my birthday trip and loved our stay! As soon as the front desk heard it was my birthday they made the experience extra special. We were put in a top floor room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Really loved that they have a huge jacuzzi so you weren’t sitting on top other groups. Only thing I did not like was there was a rather large stain on the floor of our room right when you walk in the door. We would return again.

Julia Johnny and Ahna we're so helpful during out stay - Julia made sure we were taking care during our breakfast. Anna was super sweet and helpful in recommending snacks for our kids while we relaxed pool wide - and Johnny was such a gentlemen - almost too smooth lol. There was a wedding happening but it was like they treated us like superstars while trying to make sure the wedding folks got the same treatment. This is my new favorite Marriott property and I will be back again in December for my anniversary - especially for the heated pool.

Great location and pool. Can use facilities at neighbouring Sheraton which is only a 2 min walk which doubles pools, restaurant options including a free gelato.
