Holiday Inn Carlsbad - San Diego, an IHG Hotel

Booked a last minute getaway trip. I was checked in by “L” who was courteous and welcoming. Had no issue pulling up my third party reservation. She provided me with instructions on how to get to my room and the availability of dining options on property. I was beyond parched and she generously offered me a complimentary bottled water for my guest and I. I would highly recommend this place. The room was recently renovated. The bed was up to standards and the business desk was perfect for getting some last minute stuff done. Bathroom was at standards and clean!!!! They have a mini fridge for your leftovers and a coffee machine in room.

The rooms are nice and well organized. The bed is comfortable and clean. Not only is the establishment itself super vibey and comfortable but the staff is very welcoming especially Liliana who is wonderful and always has friendly recommendations. I definitely would really recommend staying here.

I Want to give a shout out to Ellie and Patty today for helping and blessing out family with great service and breakfast this morning, my family sure does appreciate it. Hope to stay again soon and your facility blew me away wow top of the line. Holiday inn should comp me one day for all these great comments and shoutouts lol well deserved to the staff and hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel! The service was great when checking in and out, breakfast staff were very attentive making sure food was available. Breakfast was AMAZING lots to choose from. Tables were being wiped clean. Room was clean, good smell. Parking very well lit. Reasonable price. Overall great and very friendly staff!

So I came here because I was facing homelessness. I'm a very clean person and I got a really good deal here through the generosity of friends. I am so impressed if I could give 10 Stars I would because this place is amazing for my birthday when I first got here for two nights,Cassie and Elle just made it so special since I've been struggling so much with this situation that I'm in. Then this morning when I checked out on Sunday, the gentleman was so kind I got a free breakfast and the waitress was just wonderful and it's just so nice that in a world full of pain for senior citizens as myself that there are still nice people out there in the world that go over and Beyond. This place is amazing just amazing and I am so thankful and blessed that people allowed me to stay here for two nights so I could be safe. Thank you for being an amazing Hotel and such amazing people my brain is so scrambled I can't remember everybody that was there that helped me but everyone I came across was fantastic and caring thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Love that it has the parking structure to safely park your car. Nice walking trail to get in the hotel. When you walk in the lobby is way bigger then it looks from the outside with friendly staff. The halls to the rooms are long. Be prepared to walk. But it's very clean and private. Well worth it.

Probably one of the best decisions I made. Room is spotless! The service at the desk is absolutely awesome 👍. The location is perfect for my visit 🙂. All in all very quiet and definitely would come back to stay.

If you're in town for work or for pleasure then this is your best option.
The rooms are standard meaning that there is a bed, a shower and a desk and chair so that you can do your work in private.
In case you're not a member of IHG Rewards Club then please walk to the front desk and with pleasure he or she will enroll you. From day one that you're enrolled, please charge everything to your hotel room this way you can accumulate hundreds of thousands of points so that you can redeem for free nights, free merchandise or free airline tickets.

Nice hotel! Really enjoyed my overnight stay. The heater in Room 3015 was really noisy & needs to be looked at. Other than that, really good!!

No available ice machines on floors 1 & 2.
Newly renovated rooms.

Asked the front desk and was told the ice machine for the 1st floor would be by the laundry room, not true.
My husband asked and the ice machine gor the 2nd floor was out of order, the only accessible ice machine was on the 3rd floor.

I have been going through the toughest time in my life the last few weeks and want to give Tammy at the front desk a huge Thank you! I walked in to the hotel a few hours early hoping to get a room a little early as I had all my life belongings in my car and going through a divorce and felt like my whole life was falling apart. I was greeted by Tammy and was told that it would be a little bit and she could see the sadness and defeat in my face. She asked me if I was okay, and I started crying. Tammy, a complete stranger came around the desk and gave me a hug and talked to me and told me all will be okay. I went back to my car to wait for room and Tammy came running out and told me not to worry about waiting that she had a room ready for me and to go relax and get some rest. I can’t say enough about how Tammy made my day and made me feel like she cared with a simple hug, listened to cry and just went way over and beyond to be a good human. You don’t know how much I needed that hug that day.

Good place to stay. Easy access from all areas. But don't expect a microwave in your room. My last room had 2 fridges and no microwave. There is one gen of a room with deep jetted tub. Supreme luxury there! Love that the parking is free and very well lit so you feel safe at all times. Seem to find better pricing last minute on hotel's app or thru second party app like Priceline.

Got upgraded to Staybridge sister hotel. Had a suite with a kitchenette. Breakfast included and it was one of the best of hotels I've stayed in. (Not included at Holiday Inn next door)

Our room was clean and available immediately on check-in. I would recommend getting a room on the top floor. The person in the room above us pounded their feet on floor which kept us awake. Several restaurants were within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was adequate.

Restaurant. Pool, recreational court, games, and event center with a large ballroom. The staff is amazing.

Our vacation to Carlsbad was amazing. We loved everything about this property. Dee, the bar tender was the greatest...she was very attentive and has a great personality.

The NEW REMODEL IS BEAUTIFUL.... looking all super modern!!!! Love it<3 This is a kid-friendly property, so if you want quiet, it's probably not for you... It's like a home away from home where everyone knows you're name!!! love the staff

Great hotel for the local businesses. The staff were all very friendly. The restaurant was exactly what you would need after a long day. Rooms were well appointed and the bed was very comfortable.

I was in town on business and booked this hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful when asking questions about where to eat in the area. I ordered some food and drinks at the bar, great service there! The room was clean and quiet! the only downside if I can complain at all is the wifi seemed a bit lagging. I download and upload a lot of files each day and that was a bummer... but can't complain too much about it. I didn't get to check out the pool or fitness center this trip but I wouldn't hesitate on staying there again in the future!

Very modern. Very clean. Grounds are well kept. Our room was immaculate. Lots of options for breakfast.
