Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

We really enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel . Quite rooms and close to Legoland and shops including Costco within 2 miles vicinity . We had an issue with bathroom which was addressed quickly ..

Great place to stay. Front desk is overworked but more then friendly. Sydney was more then willing to help anyone.

Great place to stay in Carlsbad! Room and service are great. The hotel is strategically located near mayor restaurant and other business related needs.

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis. Upon arrival there was an issue with my reservation. Sydney H and Angela were very helpful. They worked together to make sure things got corrected. I really appreciate their hard work.

Great location. Nestlé in the hillside in a nice business park. Very quiet area but can get to the I-5 in a few minutes

I stayed at this property with my pet and under renovation, and this place is safe and clean. The staff are extremely cortious and made me feel at home. Once the renovation is complete this hotel will be a jewel. Breakfast was very good and the location is close to everything. Easy to jump on the highway. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

When in town on business, I typically stay here for the week or two. It's quiet, and if I need to see clients, there is a conference room here to use. It is centrally located to Carlsbad and the surrounding area of San Diego. The rooms are spacious and always clean.

So this is the most clean and best looking Courtyard I have stayed at. Front desk was really nice and notified me when my second room was checked in. Location is incredible(15 mins from the beach, restaurant, Carlsbad Village,...). Also get the room with the balcony if you can.

Its honestly hands down one of the most delightful experiences ive had and will be my go to place for any stay i will have when it comes to being in San Diego.
Im originally from Los Angeles so this place was amazing, rooms feel very comfortable and it feels more like your staying in an apartment.
I would higly recommend anyone here.

The guest service is great, I had a package delivered to the hotel and they called right away when it arrived. They provide a shuttle to Lego Land, which took us at the time of our choosing. And when we came back from the park there were chocolate chip cookies and ice was for the taking in the lobby. The rooms are spacious and mine had a fun little coffee maker in it. The coffee they provided was enough for 1 cup of regular and 1 cup of decaf. The bed is great, smelled fresh and was made up nicely by room service. Overall my stay was very nice and would love to come again.

First time staying here and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were incredibly polite, they even allowed us to check in a tad early. The rooms were clean and had a fresh feel, no stagnant air flow. The Bistro Bar provides in room and lounge eats or drinks. I had the Chicken Goddess BLT it was a delightful meal. I give a big thanks and two thumbs up for this location...I will definitely be returning.

Good service, ammenities, gym, pool and bar. Had some fun with my friends here a few days ago.

Edit: The GM emailed me and apologized. He took care of us and I'm grateful for the gestue and the apology. The individual who we met at check-in quit shortly after the event.

Let me start by saying my guests were unable to stay at the hotel because my reservations were never entered into their system. This is not a review on their property or the rest of their staff. This is a review of their GM and their evening customer service representative, Ariel.

We arrived at 10:45 pm awaiting a clean shower and dinner before calling it a night after enjoying a beautiful day in Ocean Beach fishing. I was shocked as my family told me there were no reservations. I had booked them earlier in the day. I went to discuss the issue with the front desk agent and he simply responded with, "We don't have any reservations." I showed him the reservation confirmations from Priceline. He simply reiterated the same thing with a pompous and unhelpful attitude.

As a previous AVP and GM in the hospitality industry (actually one in North County), I have personally seen the reservation issue happen. When an error happens with the reservation system, you are sent a fax and an email to ensure the reservation is entered. I expected something more than "We don't have any reservations." simply because I was a GM in a nearby hotel. We had relationships with all of the hotels in the area and would walk guests if this ever occurred. As a previous hospitality student who went to Cal Poly Pomona, Marriott is defined as a keystone of hospitality in the industry. I've had professors who worked their as VPs and guests from their highest levels come in and reiterate one thing, "The customer is king." However, I have never had the interaction I had with Ariel. I expect more from customer service in the industry. His smug face, his cold body language, and so much more. I have never been treated in such a manner.

I always prepared my staff for events like this. You find out the issue and you leave the customer with a solution. I was unable to get my family rooms until 1 am on Sunday morning. I expected so much more from Marriott. I will be in touch with their customer service. I will be in touch with the GM. I will want this event to change how their employees are trained. I am agreeing that these events happen. I've seen them. The outcome that we were provided was just beyond anything else I have ever seen. I'm ashamed for you and Ariel should be reprimanded for his attitude. A property's staff is usually a direct representation of their GM. I wouldn't allow my staff to treat guests that way.

I am VERY impressed by this location. Extremely clean and extremely high level of customer service. Anytime I am in town on business, I stay here and no where else. Thank you guys!

Our experience here was nothing but great. It is a clean and well maintained hotel. There is a beautiful and relaxing courtyard with a couple of fireplaces right next to the swimming pool. There is a bistro that serves Starbucks coffee and a few cocktails. The staff I encountered was nice and professional. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I am so grateful. While sitting on the balcony, my Citrine Crystal fell out of my pocket and tumbled onto the second deck. The nice lady at the front desk jumped through hoops and saved my Crystal. Thank you so much for doing all you could to return it to me. May God Bless you.

Wonderful spacious rooms. Only three floors, very quiet. A safe location. And wonderful common areas inside and outside.

A marvelous, updated Marriott experience, polished appropriately for L.A. guests. Staff uniformly going the extra mile, great food and killer martinis available in a fairly relaxed set of venues. Valet parking guy initially told me "No valet parking available" but that was quickly remedied. All told, a great stay in an electronically modern room with a super comfy bed in an environment that both relaxed and energized. Wish I had occasion to stay here more often.
