Southern California comics was a complete blast! Such a polite helpful and patient crew working out the killer books for us! Way to go! Very much looking forward to my next visit and seeing you guys at the cons! A great big thank you once again!

Visiting my hometown area and while I never had the chance while living in San Diego to visit this shop (San Diego Comics was my LCS), I'm glad I got to swing by on this trip.

Staff was super friendly and went above and beyond with the customer service. Becky explained the entire store to me, gave me a run down on what was where and everything was organized to the extreme. No issue were out of order, the selection of back issues was easy to sort through, and I came out of there filling a bunch of holes in two of my collections.

Jamie, the owner, was super personable, took the time to chat with me about the old owner of San Diego Comics, and we chatted more about comics in general.

Having purchased a stack of comics, and flying out the following day, I inquired about shipping them out. No problem at all. They set me up and packaged everything up with triple the care.

If you live in the area you've a great LCS in Southern California Comics. If you are visiting, I highly recommend you make the trek and pay this shop a visit.

Great experience, fair pricing on back issues, and an amazing back issue supply. You'll more then likely find an issue you need.

I came from out of town searching for hard-to-find new titles, and obscure $1 back issues. I was in heaven. I’ve traveled all over San Diego and seen the immense highly-concentrated array of comic shops, and this one is worthy of so much praise. More eloquent praise than I can deliver.

Their $1 section is vast. There are some computer chairs with rollers on them, and they come in handy since you might have to spend some time searching down low.

I also found a lot of newer stuff that I never would have found in my hometown, and with variant covers too. Most other shops in SD didn’t have them either. There’s a new Garth Ennis title that’s particularly hard to find, and this place had plenty of them, in true Gem condition.

I’m not out searching for gaming stuff, or cards, or toys, I want comics. This place runs their shop with love, their staff is impressively helpful and attentive to anything you might want from a comic shop.

Pound-for-pound the best comic shop I’ve been to in SD. I seriously need to come back.

Fantastic store featuring weekly releases, lots of back issues and graphic novels. Not much Manga though.

Recently took my collection of comics there to sell and had a great experience. Jamie and Matt were very helpful and knowledgeable. I had brought in quite a lot and they were able to get through it in a few days. They have a great selection of items but if you’re going there to sell then make an appointment first!! Wonderful comic book shop and staff.

Great store design and very attentive and friendly staff! The man who I believe was the manager was more than happy to help me find the Eternals comics I was looking for! Came here all the way from Phoenix, Arizona and was not disappointed! Great job everyone! 👏

Huge store! Make sure you have plenty of time to look around. Great selection of rare, unique, and highly collectable comics. Great customer service. A little high priced but very good selection. Will definitely visit again.

Three warehouse sized spaces full of comics, TPB's and comic related memorabilia. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff (its usually one or two out of three but seldom ever all three) and the cherry on top; a cafe part of the store called The Hideout. What's not to LOVE?

The best comic shop in town! The nicest employees also. Jaime has given me some good deals when I want to buy comics or fanzines. I love to look through the bins to find those nuggets! Jaime even gave me his expert grading opinion when I brought a long-time comic into the shop. Love these guys!

The most knowledgeable staff in San Diego. Amazing variety of titles and they’ve got you covered from $1 bin books to fill out your collection to the rare, hard to find gems. The owner, Jamie, will always tell it to you straight snd never feed you BS. I’m a customer for life!

Wow!! What a rad place. Fairly new to the comic book world and got stuck going to another shop. They were nothing like the folks at Southern California Comics. I only experienced stuck up, elitist attitudes before. But now that a friend suggested SCC I'm in heaven! Knowledgeable and friendly staff who were more than helpful and excited to assist a new nerd. Looking forward to supporting them more!

This place is amazing. They have a huge selection of comics, it's a little overwhelming. They offer subscription services where they pull copies of your favorite comics and hold them for you to pick up. You even get a little discount if you make use if this service! They also have a massive amount of back-issues if you need to fill in holes in your collection. They've got toys, statues, and storage for all your comic related needs. The staff is a little shy so you need to approach them if you want help finding something, but the flip side is that nobody will bother you while you are browsing.

No matter what your looking for this place should have ya covered. From $1 books, new releases, keys, original art & graded books of all ages you can easily find something to add to your collection. To top it all off the staff here is awesome to interact with, the owner setting the example of how to be genuinely engaged with their customers. Happy Hunting yall!!

As a family we enjoy this shop almost weekly. My husband loves how the new release comics are laid out, we appreciate the store limits on new releases that give everyone a fair chance to snag a collectible, the availability of varient covers has been great as well. We have also used their CGC service and recieved the utmost care and diligence in facilitating the grading of two high value comics. The only complaint we have is the wooden shelves the new comics are on could use a refurb or replacement. Sometimes they damage the bottom left corner of the comics and have to pay close attention. We buy for reading as well as our personal collections so condition is important to us for future grading. We are grateful for the staff always greeting us with smiles and providing a welcoming atmosphere, and enjoy their events and collaborations in the community!

This place has a wide variety of comics and graphic novels. They carry alot of DC graphic novels from start to finish. They also have many items of increased value and graded comics also the buy comics from customers, if they are of value and if they don't have them in quantity themselves!

I came to this shop while visiting San Diego with my fiancée and kids a couple of weeks ago. This is the largest comic book store I have ever been in. The dollar bin room alone is about the size of a studio apartment. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will be visiting this store every time I am in San Diego.

SoCal Comics is my favorite spot hands down!!! Their selection is Second to None!!! Staff is highly knowledgeable and great to deal with.

Best $1 bins I've ever seen. And Always have their comic supplies stocked, I love the fact I don't have to come back at a later time to get my bags and board because they always have them. Even with Mylar & Top Loaders

My Favorite LCS especially back issue dollar bins. The staff has been very helpful ever since the late 90s. Been shopping there since I was a minor and now that I'm about to turn 40 they are still my go to place for comics especially back issues. In addition I also go there to get my books slabbed. They have the best selection for graded comics in San Diego and possibly in Southern California.

Had the volumes I was looking for - will be coming back here for whatever I need. Most comics stores are lacking in some form - not these guys.

I went to their store yesterday 1/23/18 and the staff was very helpful. I do not live in San Diego but needed my comic fix. What a huge selection of things from toys to books. I recommend this place highly if you need your comic fix! Thanks again Becky!
