Mela Halal Meat & Grocery Store

December 2023 , i came to California from Chicago with my friends in order to celebrate New Year in Big Bear. We rented cabin there and needed good grocery store.
We found this grocery store and were so lucky. Price and quality were very good for us. Owner provided us lamb, beef and liver , so we could cook traditional kazakh cousin. Meat was on a superior level as well as service. In addition to that, owner recommended good spices to us. 10/10!

The new owner and his team are very nice & friendly. He has fresh young goat meat available daily and beef as well. Has his own butchery to cut as well. The butcher is very professional, I bought fish and goat meat and they were cut and clean very professionally, I have come across only a few who are able to do such a clean work. Also carries all sorts of fish from the Indian Subcontinent like Rohu, Katla, Coral, Hilsa that his team will clean and cut into steaks without any extra charge. Just call him and order the fish and go pick up. Also he carries a line of other small fishes like Gutum, Molla Black, Darsha Putti, Chapla, Sagor Puna, Koi, Balla, Bata, Lotia, Keski, Meni fish. Alongwith that he carries shrimp as well.
Also his Shami kebab whether Beef/Chicken are very delicious and no one sells shami kebab in SOCAL at the store except him. His Beef/chicken biryani is also very delicious.
He carries various rice like basmati, sona masoori, kaljeera and many more.
His prices are also very reasonable whether for cooked food or raw meat/fish/chicken.
I love this place which i found recently and I will be a regular customer for fish, goat meat and shami kebab.
They will cook chicken/beef/goat meat for you at an additional cost of $10 if you buy from them, they use fresh spices to cook them and not the packed ones.
I bought goat liver last week and it came out to be very good. The goat meat was of excellent quality, fresh young goat and clean not like the old regular frozen ones that other stores sell. They will even mince the meat for you whether beef/goat.

I bought chicken over the weekend and it came out to be very good, cleanly and professionally cut and washed as well.

They also have huge 10 lbs or more Mirgal and swai fish. All the fishes that they keep are freshly frozen and are fresh water fish and not salt water ocean fish.

I have stopped buying fish, chicken, goat, beef from other regular stores like trader joes, ralphs, sprouts etc. I go to Mela Halal Meat and Grocery Store because of their high quality meat, chicken and fish.

I discovered this little market while trying to learn to cook some Indian dishes. The owner was very kind and helped me find what I needed. I've gone back and tried the beef biryani and samosas and they were delicious. Definitely recommend.

Mela is a great Halal meat market. They also do catering. Recently the catered for my daughter’s birthday party for about 200 people. The service and the food was amazing and freshly cooked. If you want to taste authentic BANGLADESHi food choose Mela for your next party.

They have Halal fresh meat and chicken.. You can order cooked meal on request. Great grocery and restaurant. Friendly staff.

A little gem in inland empire. This store has been through different management over the years but the new owners have gone on to change the overall look and feel of the store. Extremely clean, spacious, well lit now. They offer a variety of desi spices, halal meat and fish. They even do catering. I ordered khichuri, beef curry, goat curry and shammi kebab for a small get together at home. Everyone complimented the food. It was finger licking good! All the items were excellent but the khichuri and the goat curry were the stars of the show! Highly recommend doing your desi groceries and catering here!

We have recently move to this area and found this great Bangladeshi and Indian Hala grocery store. They have wide range of authentic products. They also have catering services. If you are looking for authentic tasty Southeast Asian food (Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi) this is the place. Specifically their chicken Biryani is exquisite.

Best place for chicken biryani and desi grocery in town.

Please come by here! This store is under new management and they are wonderful. Extremely helpful and kind. The store is clean and has many of the go to staples I need when I don't have time to run down to pioneer. From masalas to freshly cut meat, I highly recommend shopping here.

By far one of my favorite indian markets. The workers were very nice and made me feel comfortable for not understanding the difference between some products. The owner had me try his chicken briyani and it was delicious, I will be coming back again.

I just visited this market a few days ago. Everyone there is very friendly and their food is really good. I left with a large portion of Beef Biriyani and some samosas. My food was even better the second day!

So glad to find this place to buy Bengali Fishes near to where I live in Eastvale .. it’s very clean and convenient .. The owner is very friendly and cooperative .. I bought fishes a few times from here and never had any issues with quality .. The price seems ok compared to what we get in LA .. I recommend this place for anyone who doesn’t want to drive to LA
