We really liked this campground, it was our first time and it won't be our last. We looked for a place near our city to rest and be close to the town of Idyllwild, we were able to enjoy the charm of this town in the mountains.
Very clean and the staff very friendly.
Highly recommended if you are looking to stay not far from civilization, where you will find fun, delicious food and peace.

Wonderful place to hangout with nature. Just walked to one of the campsites, spent the afternoon, and the children found plenty of things to do. I'm looking forward to camping out this spring.

An absolutely lovely place. Very quiet and calm, and the showers are great. The water is very clean, and all the rangers are friendly! The town nearby has lovely people and great food as well (not to mention all the cute dogs!)

Idyllwild Regional Park is a hidden gem. Only a few minutes from the town center, this campground provides the best of both worlds! There is a variety of campsites to choose from as well as a variety of hiking trails nearby. There is one shower on-site that charges 50 cents for 3 mins. Most of the campsites are shaded and this park is dog-friendly (on-leash). I will definitely be returning for more outdoor fun!

Love it up here. Great place to spend the weekend or the day. My wife and I would come up here every two or three months sometimes just to go shopping and have lunch or dinner and other times we rent a cabin or camp at the national park campgrounds we enjoyed it here so much great memories for sure.

Great place for a hike in the snow. The trails are marked with an occasional bench to sit on. The park is dog friendly as I noticed several dogs on leashes. The parking day use fee is $10. Rangers were visible both at the entrance and roaming the parking lot. I would recommend to cover early because the parking is limited and is quickly filled.

A quiet and dog friendly hike! Found Perimeter trail a bit easier than the one directly leading to the Nature center. The latter was closed that day but the quails were still out front. Purchased a day pass at entry to the park.

Its great...always well plowed when snow is down.....restrooms seems to be cleaned 2 time a day at the parks. Police agency are super nice as well. Rare these days. Wide street, and 95% open,....it's a plus in my book. Not as crowed as Julian,....and way better food, and shops!

What a great campground! There is a little stream that mostly runs through it (when we were there it stopped just after the bridge). It’s located just a few minutes from Main Street Idyllwild and has a few hiking trails that meander through it. Be careful about your campsite location. Some of the campsites were up or down hills from the main road. Families with little kids might want to try and find some of the flatter campsites.

While many of the small bridges are our due to recent weather, it is still such a serene place to visit and escape the city. 10/10 would recommend a BBQ or picnic with the family.

A fantastic campground. A lot of flat spots for tents. Well maintained facilities. Great hiking paths and views. There is a giant boulder in the middle of the campground with old native drawings on it. The boulder has been fenced off due to the drawings being damaged by visitors over time. But, you can still get a pretty good look at them.

Watch out for yellow jacket nests on or near the hiking trails. One was stepped on accidentally when we were there and several people got stung. Only other note is that one of the bathroom stall doors sounds like a velociraptor when opened late at night.

This is a lovely county park with camping, hiking and picnicking options. We hiked the Perimeter Trail to the Summit Trail, a very scenic loop over about 2.5 miles. Almost no one else was on the trail (it was a weekday). This trail could be hot in summer, so carry plenty of water.

Beautiful place for a hike. Hike is little challenging with steep climbing, be prepared. Great views and fun time with family+dog.
Not advised for little kids.

Great place to take family to camp, hike trails, or simply go play in the snow. Campfires are allowed. Restrooms are there as well (showers included). Grocery store(s) aren't to far away.

Beautiful campground, most sites are tent inmu but there are some that are set up primarily for RV. Trails close by and bathrooms are some of the cleanest and we'll stocked I have come across in campgrounds. Very family friendly.

Excellent camp site my company has used it many, many times. Great for kids and adults. The staff and hosts are brilliant. Very professional in their work, but extremely friendly. The site is very clean. I would highly recommend this camp site. red rose co.

Large park that offers both close proximity sites and more secluded sites and fire pits everywhere. I highly recommend you walk the park before picking a campsite as driving through you will miss some great little secluded spots. Bathrooms are very clean and well maintained and I just stumbled upon the perimeter trail that is a very nice way to navigate around the park. Another huge advantage of this campsite for me is that it's less then a 2 mile drive to town if you need to hit the local market or want to do a little mountain village exploring.

Idyllwild is a great town, fun and mellow vibe. Just enjoying a day with family. So many places to enjoy the wide open space. Snow play is great here and they have sleds you can buy or go to town a half mile away for more options. While here enjoy Mile High Cafe!!

Took the family hiking... we had soo much fun even tho there was a lot of confusion with the signs. Ended up going the wrong way a few times. Lots of pretty wildflowers on the trails.
