Bread and Flours - Bread Bakery

Found this nice and warm bakery on Google Map. Its opening day was so little… only Thursday and Saturday. I believe their goal was not to earn money 🤣 When we arrived here, there was already a line. It let me more curious about this bakery.
The organic Epi Baguette was my favorite. Hard outside but soft inside, and with very nice smell. It was simple, but could feel the pure taste of wheat.
Holiday Sourdough was hard outside and soft inside as well. And with cranberries and pecans. The texture was really. But a little bit sour.
Spiced pumpkin bread was like pound cake in healthy version. Dry and fluffy; sweet and with cinnamon.

Great bakery in Palm Spring even in California. Baguette is outstanding, and Epi baguette is just fun to eat. Classic SoCal organic sourdough is just so American or what should I say so California. Compare to the Canadian flour, both moist with great texture, just as good as top notch Canadian flour, which we proud of!

Store located at the corner plaza, plenty of parking just behind the store. Quite a drive from LA and they only open Thursday and Saturday. Better to visit on Saturday as you can also tag the farmers market as well on the day trip.

Once you enter the store, you can smell of the yeast and flours we got there around 10:30am but imagine if you get there when they just put them in the shelf, hummm! I could eat whole baguette right there.

If there is one thing I would suggest to relocate is the coffee stand near the door. It feels out of the place compared to the other well decor bakery.

Bread and Flours has become an essential part of any trip to Palm Springs for us. We love sourdough- we seek it out everywhere we go - and this is some of the best we’ve had. But even more than their boules and loaves - this focaccia is one of the best things we’ve ever eaten!! And they carry a tasty local kombucha and I boot!

Was hosting a house full of guests and needed an assortment of goodies for an impromptu brunch. Very happy it was Saturday and they were open. The blueberry muffins were incredibly delicious, as were the cookies and pumpkin loaf. The Sammie Sourdough was a huge hit. Don’t be surprised if there’s a line out the door when you arrive - it’s worth the wait. Staff were friendly, helpful, and you could tell they love that they do. 5 ⭐

We go waaayyy back with Bread & Flours to when they starts with home delivery during the pandemic. So delighted to see them at their delightful brick & mortar bakery. You won’t find a higher quality, more delicious selection of baked goods Anywhere In This Valley. Nor will you find kinder, more sincere people dedicated to excellence. Get the bread (any of them). Get the cookies, the muffins, the lemon slice, the pasta or any of the other carefully selected products they feature. Thank me later.

I love going into Bread and Flour Bakery! It’s the best! Delicious sourdough breads. Such a friendly and positive atmosphere. Always smiles on the friendly owners faces. I won’t buy bread anywhere else and I’ve told everyone I know about them.

Their bread is so good as well as all the other baked goods we’ve tried (pumkin bread is amazing).It’s so worth getting there at opening time on Saturday and if you can, go on Thursday. The bread is the freshest and most delicious ever you won’t be disappointed. It’s so nice to be able to get a whole grain fresh milled loaf in PS!

I mean this is our favorite bakery! Everything from the SoCal Sourdough to the blueberry muffins to the baguettes are to die for. The pantry items are artisan and well sourced and we always find some hidden gem that becomes a favorite! Mark and
Kristin are amazing hosts and our Saturday morning visits have become a much looked forward to ritual.

We are so grateful to have Bread & Flours here in the valley. Real, healthy food can be difficult to find in our area. I am gluten intolerant but Mark’s bread is totally tolerated by my quite discerning digestive system. Their pizza dough is out of this world, the blueberry muffins are a real treat, and we keep several loaves of different breads in our freezer at all times. Thank you so much Mark and Kristen for your amazing efforts.

I stumbled upon this place shortly after arriving in Palm Springs for a week-long vacation and bought a loaf back to my hotel room. It was so good I went back the next time they were open. If they were open more often, I definitely would have gone more. This is a special kind of place. Like the woman in line behind me said, I could take one of everything!

This place is so darling! So lucky we popped in when they were open. The focaccia was so delicious and we picked up two pizza doughs to make for dinner and they were so kind to give us some flour to roll out the dough and parchment paper to take back to our air bnb. Definitely recommend!

What an absolute delight to have such a great shop in Palm Springs. Owners are friendly, informative, and welcoming. The bread is the best. Can’t go wrong supporting such an amazing local business. It’s on my to-do list for all visitors to PS.

Finally made it in time to stop here, and wow am I in love. Such lovely owners and beautiful store. I am very particular about the sour of a sourdough, the crust, and the inside texture of a well made break. I am so impressed with the bread that is being made here. I will absolutely be back to try everything else.

I am not one to leave reviews but in the case of Bread & Flours, I am compelled to write how extraordinary they are in regards to product and people. I was a professional baker so I make it a point to visit as many bakeries wherever I go. I must say the care that Mark and Kristin put into their breads/baked goods check all the boxes: deep flavor, crumb, the crisp! Not only that but their friendly demeanor really makes you feel the warmth they put into what they create. I am lucky, Palm Springs is lucky, to hv such an artisan shop locally. Well worth the wait! Super friendly and efficient once inside the bakery. Tried the seeded and sammie sourdoughs but would love to taste them all! So fresh, flavorful, healthy, and delicious!

Real Bread, like in Italy. What do I mean??? When you put it in your mouth, you instantly are reminded you are eating the real thing. No garbage from big corps.

The absolute best bakery for bread in Palm Springs. Having lived in Europe, I know the bar is high, and they have hit it! On top of the best bread, the couple owning it is lovely.
