Our recent trip to Palm Springs was outstanding, largely due to our host, Kim, whose hospitality was second to none. From the moment we arrived, Kim made us feel exceptionally welcome, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay.

The resort offered a unique blend of eclectic charm and serene comfort, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The large pool area was a true oasis, providing a refreshing break from the desert heat. We were also impressed with the variety offered at the complimentary breakfast, which was a great start to our days.

Another notable feature was how well the rooms maintained a cool temperature, even without the air conditioning running. This attention to comfort, combined with the excellent customer service we received, made our stay very pleasant.

Additionally, the resort's location was ideal, just a short walk from the El Paseo strip, which has a fantastic selection of restaurants and shops. This convenience added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.

We can't thank Kim enough for her dedication and kindness. If you’re heading to Palm Springs, we highly recommend staying at Casa Larrea Inn, where the combination of great amenities, a prime location, and Kim's exceptional hospitality will ensure a memorable experience.

It's a quaint, quiet gem of a hotel. The owner Kim bends over backwards to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. She's warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The included breakfasts are awesome and have a wide variety of options including hot home cooked offerings! This is not your typical crumby old "continental breakfast"....this is a feast! I so enjoyed staying here.

Casa Larea is an ABSOLUTE gem of a property. Hosted by the very kind and accommodating owner, Ms. Kim. She is so responsive and friendly and truly cares about her guests. The property is beautiful and has a great pool and jacuzzi— there’s wonderful ceramic art all throughout the premises and you see something new every day. The property is so quiet and peaceful and you hear the sound of birds in the mornings/all day and loons at night. It’s located steps away from El Paseo and some of the best restaurants in the area. It’s a WINNER!! I’m coming back in April and this has become my “ go to place “ for my desert getaway.

I cannot recommend this little place enough. Cute, funky, private, cozy, clean, comfy, restful are but a few adjectives that come to mind. Location is awesome, just off El Paseo, walking distance to many restaurants (and shopping if you are into that). A beautiful courtyard with a large crystal clear swimming pool, and a welcome hot tub tucked away in the corner for cooler evenings. Breakfasts are delicious, including home-cooked options, cereals, yoghurt and chunky fresh fruit. Kim is an absolutely wonderful host, and her attention to detail is extraordinary. We'll definitely be back!

First person I met was George from Vancouver Canada. Super nice guy and since when I walked into the office, staff wasn't present, so George walked around the property to find her. Next thing I knew Kim showed up to get me checked in. Kim was lovely, kind, friendly and efficient. Room was super cool funky hip chic, loved it. Clean, everything you could ever need even for an extended stay. No question, I'll be going back and really can't wait. Super nice and beautiful owner, and the people staying there are as nice as can be. The other guests told me if there was anything I needed, check with them before going to the store as they were certain they would have extra and I would be welcome to borrow some. You don't find places like this in the US anymore, it's really quite perfect.

We just finished spending a month in this lovely place. It's our new Palm Desert go-to. Just the right size. Easy to strike up conversations with other guests around the courtyard's pool. Well situated, a very short walk to El Paseo Drive with all its funky restaurants and shops. There's also a couple of major grocery stores nearby for those who like to do their own cooking. (Hint: Save some $ by doing your big grocery shop at Aldi's, which is less than 10 minutes away by car). Several great hikes a short distance away.

This little Inn is amazing. We have stayed 3 times and booked our fourth. The rooms and beds are so cosy, the breakfast delicious, also includes home cooked things, and the pool and surrounds are always spotless.
Highly highly recommended.
Kim at the front desk is amazing.

This is hotel is one of a kind! It all begins with the owner Kim. She is amazing, kind and determined to make sure your stay is the best it can be! Then there is the courtyard, pool, breakfast, great location and of course a clean comfortable room! The courtyard is beautifully decorated with lounge chairs, tables and several umbrellas to hide from the sun. The pool is exceptionally clean! The breakfast is also excellent. I typically do not eat breakfast when I stay at hotels, however this breakfast was great! Simple but had every thing a health-conscious individual would enjoy especially a huge bowl of fruit every morning!!! The location is also perfect, just blocks from El Paseo Shopping District. I am looking forward to my next visit in just a few months!

Casa Larrea is a wonderful place. The rooms are lovely and the gardens surrounding the pool makes you feel like home. The owner and staff are super nice, friendly and very helpful

This is the kind of experience that you come back to every year. They have many loyal customers who are like family. Including me

We've been coming to Casa Larrea for more than a decade ... all of the 5-star reviews are absolutely true. Such a quiet little gem just a few steps from El Paseo.
The few guest rooms form a horseshoe around a pristine salt water pool. An oasis of trees, flowers, and eclectic garden decorations surround the pool, with lots of comfy lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. Plus there's a hot whirlpool spa if it's too cold for swimming.
You'll likely make a bunch of new friends before you've finished the included breakfast. Then, don't be surprised to meet those same friends over and over again on your return visits!
Kim and Frank are your hosts; they make you feel like this is your second home.

Casa Larrea deserves more than five stars. It's simply a joy to walk through the gate and feel like we've just returned to our cozy home-away-from-home!
Be aware that if you crave luxurious concierge service, on-call amenities, and white-glove attendants ... that's a very different type of five-star hotel. You'll need to spend a thousand dollars a night at the Ritz Carlton.

Personal note:
We felt that it was necessary to tell this story after another traveler alleged: "Horrible service. Rude owner. Never have had a worst [sic] experience."
By coincidence we were staying at Casa Larrea on the same nights as that reviewer. Unfortunately we observed behavioral issues that were unrelated to, and beyond the control of the hotel. Needless to say, we were relieved when the problematic guest checked-out.

The 5/5 reviews as seen in other reviews is accurate. This place is adorable and comfortable. Kimberly (the owner) is amazing. She's kind, very pleasant and accommodating. The continental breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. The proximity of this Inn to El Paseo is ideal. My husband and I stayed here recently and didn't want to leave. We will certainly come back. Thank you Kimberly.

This is a beautiful Inn! From check-in to the room. It definitely is your home away from home. You are feeling very welcomed here. Kimberly is awesome. Friendly and professional. The room is very, very nice. Large bed, very comfortable, 2 comfy chairs and plenty of space for clothing. A full kitchen!!
4 burner stove w/ oven. Large enough fridge, and coffee, maker. Everything you need to cook your own meals if you wish. The bathroom is good to go. Very well lit, and the shower works great. The decor in the room is very cool, from the bedding to the lamps, pictures on the wall, and the very large mirror, and you also have your own patio!
The grounds are beautiful also. The palms and plants plus the pool area. Very well kept.
Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance also. I just had Breakfast here and it was excellent. So many choices. Fruits, breads, salad, meats, coffee, tea etcetera etcetera etcetera . Yum.

This is a jewel in the desert.

A real gem in Palm Desert. Cute set of rooms arranged around a pool. The rooms have a private patio in back, a well equipped (small) kitchen, and a nice size room. The location is great - 1 block from El Paseo and all the restaurants and shopping Palm Desert has to offer. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. Just a nice feeling staying here for 3 nights.

Staying here was like visiting some old friends! We arrived on Saturday afternoon and that same night the owners were treating the guests to a bbq dinner. Everyone gathered around the tables outside by the pool for a nice homemade dinner and fun conversation. How fun!
Breakfast in the morning also felt like staying at a friend's house. The owner would make a dish for everyone on top of the regular fruit, eggs, bagels options.
The crowd is mostly older folks, seems like most people have been returning to this little hidden treasure for years.
The room was nice and we had an ac unit in it. Also we had our own little patio. It was such a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Enjoyed our stay very much! Totally recommended!

Absolutely stunning! Last minute, late night get away did not disappoint! The host was amazing and other guests were welcoming and friendly. Hidden adult resort and desert gem close to shops and restaurants. But beware town closes early so make sure you get food first! Will definitely be coming back very, very soon.

My wife and i were looking for a quick, couple day getaway around Christmas time and stumbled upon this little gem. The owner, who checked us in was amazing! So pleasant and accommodating. She even brought us drinks to our room and made sure we knew how to operate the satellite system and heating unit. The room was fully furnished with a kitchenette and even a small stove and oven unit (we used to make cookies). The bed was very comfortable and I had no issues sleeping on it with my horrible back problems. The room had a nice private patio with sitting area and umbrella ( gets really hot there in the summer). The common area had a pool, hot tub which looked very well kept and a room with books to read if you so desire while sitting by the pool. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and probably will again come Christmas time.
5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Such a beautiful little place! Relaxing, comfortable, clean. Kim is the most amazing host you can ask for. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could be. The other guests that were staying there made it even more fun, just hanging out in the pool all day. We will come back again and again. Thank you Kim!
