Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa ANA - Orange County, an IHG Hotel

This hotel was wayyyy better than I expected!! I booked it because it was cheap and we were only coming to Disney for one day! I was surprised based off the reviews but I had a fine experience with the staff night lady, she was very informative and answered any questions I had. I was worried about the area but she ensured me that the security does rounds and my car will be fine. The beds were so comfy! First time in a while I’ve woken up with no back pain. They have dove hand soap and body wash and shampoo and conditioner which is just such a nice little extra compared to the usual cheap soaps. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. It’s hotel breakfast set your expectations lower and this place will surpass them. They had egg white omelets, egg pattys, biscuits with sausage and gravy, cinnamon rolls, cereal, etc. it’s also been a while since I stayed where they give you free toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor , shaving cream and a comb if you forget :) very pleased with my stay for the price of the room! For under $100 this was way better than expected and would come back …. Also yes you can hear neighbors. You’re in a hotel get over it

I've always been skeptical of chain hotels but my stay at this place made me reconsider. A great hotel with a great staff

Loved everything about my stay! From the smooth check-in with Jaime, to the free parking and breakfast in the mornings, it was a wonderful stay overall! The room was spacious and clean and had a nice view of Santa Ana. It was conveniently located near the highway and just 12 mins away from Disneyland. We will definitely be back here during our next trip to Disneyland. Truly an understatement gem of a property!

Spacious, clean rooms, with a fridge, coffee maker, and a microwave!!! I always think they come standard, but they don't!!! Friendly staff with 24/7 desk assistance. I was able to get help with the AC and grab a few extra towels! :) there's also free breakfast up to 9:30 and free parking. They even did me a favor while checking out! Thank you!

This is wonderful hotel. Everything is brand new and sparkling clean. Pillows and mattress are extremely comfortable. Breakfast has good oatmeal, eggs, fruits and coffee. There is even a microwave in the room.
My only advise is to ask for a room on a higher floor. Because there is a trash truck that starts very early in am and some noise from a railroad - could be very disturbing especially for light sleepers.

Had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa Ana - Orange County! Clean, comfy rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was a treat. Highly recommend this IHG gem!

My husband and I stayed here because it was close to the venue for my grad school graduation. It is conveniently located near the freeway. The room was clean and the noise level was minimal. The staff was friendly and prompt upon check in and out. It would have been nice if the balcony was usable as that was one of the draws for staying here. Another draw was the included breakfast. The breakfast buffet was really good. The food was hot, fresh, and very tasty. Also, the area outside appears a bit sketchy with the mission next door. However, at no time did we feel unsafe. The safety of the front door being accessible by the room key was an added bonus. Included parking is also a plus. There are many restaurants and stores nearby as well. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

This is a great place to stay. I stayed here for 3 nights for a long weekend trip to Disneyland. It is a few miles from Disneyland but I had my car so it was no problem. The room was larger than I expected and very clean. The bathroom was great, the only problem was the sliding shower door didn't want to stay shut but I easily figured out a solution to that. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get up in the morning. Although the free breakfast wasn't great, it was nice to have that included. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Everything was clean. The beds are very comfortable. I booked two rooms since we have a big family and needed two to accommodate all of us. They were able to keep us on the same floor which was awesome. We ran into a few minor room issues and had to move, but the staff was super accommodating and helpful (they even provided a small discount for the inconvenience). Their free breakfast is excellent. They serve eggs, pancakes, sausage, cereals, fruit, yogurt, bagels, and more. I really love that they will accept a cancelation even on the day you are expected to arrive and checkout is at noon. This is not typical of most hotels. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are newly renovated. Very cool modern design and features. The security here is great. The gym has everything you need and is included. The breakfast was 🔥. Definitely recommend!

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting disneyland. The rooms were very spacious, clean and the beds were fantastic after a long day in the parks it was like sleeping on feathers. Staff were very friendly and our very late arrival was swiftly dealt with ANZ we were in our rooms within 10mins of arriving at the hotel. 5* service

Rooms are all updated modern, beds are very comfortable, free breakfast, heated pool, office area with computers, and gym to boot. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They offer one of the best breakfast I've ever had at their price point and star level. The hotel is clean with no signs of lack. I think management is doing an excellent job and it shows. I highly recommend staying there.

Staff is the best. I was highly impressed by excellent services of Emma. She is so energetic ,smiley and hard working. She works like robot without any delay in providing customer needs. Hotel is very good,clean,sanitised and with full breakfast. In room you have freeze, microwave and coffee maker with big tv. Night desk clerk Douglas is also very helpful and hard working , always ready to help guest. Emma and Douglass are the best. I will stay here again.

Soooo...there is no 4.5 so I thought I would be nice and give 5 stars. Overall a very pleasant stay...not exceptional but pleasant. So first the bad....its not in the best area in Santa Ana...and there aren't alot of restaurants immediately nearby. You have to walk probably 20-30 min. Otherwise It seems recently renovated, fresh, quiet. Small hotel rooms but well designed. Aldo the air conditioning was super quiet in my room, so much so, that I first thought it was broken. It came from the ceilings and not a window unit. So pay attention to that. It was good value.

There was a screw up in my reservation and somehow the system had me booked for 12th Separately instead of 12 Feb. So when I arrived at the property to check-in at 10pm, tired and exhausted from my travel, I was told I didn't have a reservation and there were no rooms available as the hotel was fully booked!
Sasha at the front desk swing into action and fixed it somehow and gave me a room eventually. Thanks Sasha!
Overall nice hotel, clean rooms, spacious bathrooms and shower space, clean fitness center will all necessary amenities and all fitness equipment actually work too! Typical breakfast buffet. Ultra friendly staff. Will stay here again!

This is my favorite Holiday Inn by far. I stay in OC area for work multiple times a week and this is my go to. The staff are really nice and I’ve been lucky to get to know them a little bit since I’ve been frequently staying here. I’ve never had any complaints with the rooms, there’s a room on the 7th floor that had a shower that has a lot higher pressure then the other rooms I’ve stayed in which is nice so if I’m on lucky floor 7 I might get that room again. The pool area is nice and clean and the gym is a pretty damn good size for a hotel gym, they got weights, treadmill, elliptical and a few machines. Definitely more then enough if you want a quick work out. Also the machines are newer and most have personal TVs on them. I love staying here and I’ll be staying here more in the future. Thank you to the management and staff for making me feel at home.

Nice hotel like nearly every HolidayInn. Very friendly stuff at the front desk. The room rate was very reasonable. So we easily arranged with the 35 min drive from city center.

The pool was really nice too. One day it was warm and one day it was rather cold ?, so you had to swim if you want to stay warm.

Unfortunately there was no hot tube and my room hadn't a landline phone.

Everything else was great.
