Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Desert

Yes, the rooms are outdated, but the customer service we received from each person at the front desk throughout my stay. They were all personable and kind. I loved the fact that there was always ice cold water available and the automated convenience store was a plus. The breakfast was much better than what I’ve experienced at other chains. Again, the shining star was the staff. I would come back specifically for them.

We booked last minute on the way home from a road trip. Unfortunately, we left early when our room had a lead and decided to make the last trip home. However, the staff was very accommodating, offered a new room and ultimately helped us coordinate a refund from expedia. Lastly, my wife left something at the hotel and they were very accommodating assisting with shipping it to us overnight. Great staff; management and front desk as well as maintenance. Beautiful facility and location as well.

With all the negative reviews, I was expecting the absolute worst experience but I was so pleasantly surprised with my stay! I had a last minute stay over President’s Day weekend. Yes, the rooms were very outdated, the restroom was tiny, and the floors were dirty (my toddler and baby ran around barefoot in the room and their feet were BLACK). But the bedsheets were clean and bed was comfy. We were on the first floor (I avoided the second and third floors with all the bad reviews about the elevators not working) and it was fine.

The staff are incredible. Checkin was speedy and as Diamond members, we got a little bag of water and small snacks. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Omelettes were fresh as everyone stated. There was a tall white American man who was bringing out the food for us and he was working so hard and quickly (this man deserves a raise!!)

Cocktail hour was fine. Chips, dip, grape, pretzels. Very mediocre but free is free. Bartender was also really nice.

All the other guests were super friendly too.

Sure, this is not a Conrad or Waldorf but for a quick visit to the Living Desert and Zoo, it was a perfectly fine stay for us.

Easy drive to the arena venue. Loved the happy hour at the restaurant bar two free drinks and i got a complimentary serving of salty snacks. The premises were very clean and comfortable highly recommended. Staff is amazing too

The rooms are dated and need a refresh. The living room and bedroom switches did not work, the couch and carpet had stains and there was other minor damage in the room. The elevator was giving issues as well. The bed was comfy and clean and the bathroom looked clean too. Overall it worked for us. The two evening guys at the reception were great (Alex and Angel). If it wasn’t for them we would’ve not bothered to leave a review.

Hotel is located within walking distance to anything you can think of and a 5 min drive to IWTG.

Fantastic pool, 24 hr gym, and daily breakfast buffet!

When we were checking out, one of the staff members made my son's day and gave him a big Wall-E after seeing it was his favorite Disney character! We were truly touched, and I am sure the management is working on turning things around here despite the negative reviews. Thank you so much!

Excellent!!! Now, this place needs some upgrading but the service and amenities are very impressive. Nice pool. 24 hour coffee, soda fountain and other beverages for all registered guests. Up to two complimentary cocktails each happy hour per guest over 21. All suites include multiple sinks and counter spaces. In room ironing board. Staff is friendly and responsive. Check in line was long, but we got through in less than 5 minutes.

If you like tanning, swimming, pickleballing, tennis playing, or hot tubing, then this is the place. Lots of outdoor activities and cool courtyard layout. Rooms are big and the renovated ones are particularly nicer. Also Palm Desert > Palm Springs

A wedding reception occurring on site the afternoon/evening of our arrival. That, and the hotel was the host location of a boys' weekend high school basketball tournament in the area; with what seemed like about 75+ teenage boys...
Very friendly and accommodating staff assured me that our accommodations would be quiet and comfortable.
They lived up to their promise. While the room was quiet and comfortable, the pool and whirlpool, that evening, were FILLED with energetic but well-mannered boys....
Needless to say, we decided to have dinner out instead of pool activities, and we postponed our use of the spa to Sunday night. On Sunday night, we almost had the pool area to ourselves.
A NICE TRADE OFF!!
That being said, the hotel was neat, clean, well staffed, and well managed.
They have a nightly complimentary happy hour (full bar and bar snacks).
They also have a daily complimentary hot breakfast buffet (see picture) and made to order omelets, and it includes bakery goods, fruit, and all the normal beverages. All this set at the front end of a beautiful courtyard. (see picture)
A little bit of a downside, but likely due to the onset of the hot summer months, the spacious, well surfaced tennis court area was not being maintained. There were a number of errant tennis balls around, indicating semi-recent full use.
Regardless, the property was "worth the price of admission"!

Our overnight stay was a 2 room, 2 bed kitchenette and a couch on a weekend night. We arrived too late for the complimentary snacks early enough to a decent parking spot close to our 3rd floor room. There was a young adult gathering around the pool that night but it wasn't rowdy enough to cause concern. The next morning after the complimentary breakfast (decent enough) we hit the pool and hottub. Thus time the families were out while the party goers stayed in the rooms!

Next to the hotel you could find a gas station, a Starbucks and a grocery store. The hotel had a 24-hr gym but I didn't check it out. Pets were seen around so maybe allowed? Unless they were Service Animals. The pool and the area surrounding it were great for relaxing/chilling out.

I recommend The Embassy Suites for a consideration!

Always a great stay in Palm Desert. Close to the Living Desert. Plenty of parking, nice rooms, and great staff. The pool and grounds are beautiful.

We’re nice. Some didn’t know detains about the food service when I asked. But they gave us water at check-in and allowed us to have an early check-in and late check out which was nice. Allowed my teenage daughters to sleep in a little bit later.

Coachella Weekend Stay. It was great, because they had shuttle pu, right next to the hotel.

This review is well over due but my husband and I stayed here for a night after having an awful experience at a nearby boutique hotel. We stayed February 8 for our anniversary. We brought our 8 month old along too! I've worked in hotels for years before having my daughter. I don't know what the bad reviews are about? We came from San Diego so I understand what a group of needy Hugh expectations but don't want to pay the price for it demographic looks like ;) we did pay with our friends and family discount either way our expectations were absolutely exceeded and I'm never choosing anyone else but Hilton to stay with. The location was beautiful! The staff was so accommodating and sweet too. Our room was so clean and quiet as well I slept reaaaaally well. The pool was beautiful too!! We're definitely going to stay at this location again the next time we decide to randomly go to palm dessert. Also, since it's sometimes hard to get out super early when you have a baby that likes to sleep in but also needs their naps they gave us a free late checkout for 1pm. That was such a lifesaver and a perfect time for us. It relieved my stress so much about checking out on time. I'm so grateful we found this location that totally made up for our crummy stay at the Lucille ball hotel... ☺

Rooms are clean. It is important for you to check your amenities in the room, twin rooms offer sofa bed. Check if you have extra comforter and blanket for sofa bed ask for it. Pool is weather tempering. Towels are offered on pool site. Gym is basic but peloton bike if you have membership you can log in. Breakfast service until 9 am warm food. Big patio chess board to play we loved it!!😂. I will come back.

We had a great stay at the Embassy Suites. We were in town for a soccer tournament and there were a bunch of other families staying too. The kids had a blast! My daughter loved the breakfast egg bar and my son and I loved the drinks and snacks each evening. The pool was heated and a perfect hangout after the games. The staff was all friendly and the rooms were nice. Would absolutely stay again.

Great front desk staff, spacious rooms, great location, overall very pleasant experience

Unfortunately we had a family emergency and had to leave after a few hours of our 2 night stay 🥺. Alex at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The property is beautiful and spacious rooms. Hope we can make it back and actually enjoy the stay. Again thank you to Alex for your compassion and friendliness.
