Banh Mi Che Cali Bakery & Restaurant

We are not Vietnamese, so this review does not comment on the authenticity of the food; it focuses on the flavor - it was DELICIOUS!

We came around 1pm on a Sunday, and there was a small line placing orders at the counter. We got #24 noodle soup, beef cubes (entree), and a beef stew (with noodle). For appetizer, we got a few meat pies.

The meat pie was flaky and flavorful! I liked mine with a little hot sauce (chili sauce from the sauce tray). The entrees are full of flavors! My favorite is the beef stew with noodle. The broth was thick with many pieces of beef and carrots. The carrots were sweet and mushy. I personally like it mushy, so it was perfect!

The #24 noodle soup came in a red broth. Not spicy (maybe 2/10 spice level). There was a mixture of meat, including brisket, meat balls, tendon, pork sausages, etc. on a chilly day, it was a perfect meal!

The beef cubes were on the lighter side of flavor. I really enjoyed dipping the white rice into the beef stew and eating them together.

Three entrees plus three meat pies came to be around $45. Economical and delicious food!

Okay coming from the west side of LA this spot is a gem. I can’t find a banh mi on the west side for less than 12 dollars a pop and not only are they 5 bucks here but if I buy two I get one free? Sign me up. I walked in here and ended up ordering 2 bubble teas, 3 banh mi, 3 pate chaud, 2 egg rolls, a combo plate with 3 types of meat dishes and a veggie, AND a glutinous rice thing filled with meat and what have you. It came out to like…32 bucks? I had to ask if they missed something. GOLD MINE. I’ve already been back and hot damn it was just as good.

Buy 2 get 1 free French roll sandwich, always a feel good deal. A decent cup of coffee for less than 4$

Been coming here since it opened and always enjoy the quality of food. The benefit of being open minded allowed me to make a friend of Vietnam culture. As they translate what different dishes are made it easy to explore the variety of options they offer and astonishing prices for fresh quality. Highly recommended this place as it is open 24 /7 😄 Be forewarned that you should be open minded and patient as they do not speak fluent English yet they understand numbers and pointing to the desire meal you like to enjoy.

Only downside is the staff's limited knowledge of English which makes it difficult for us to order new food items.

This place has the best sandwiches flavor and portion wise and at buy 2 get one it can't be beat. The soups are pretty good for it's price and keep in mind that they are very slow. They also for sure use powders for their milk teas, but that's why they're buy one get one. This place isn't perfect, but I genuinely love it.

Amazing food for the price, and even though it’s cheap, the taste doesn’t falter at all. The bread still tasted super fresh when we went at 8pm. Also, their chicken pho was $5 but the soup tasted as good as a $14 pho! Amazing place!!!

Food is very good at a really amazing price. The desert drinks are unlike anything I've tasted before and the sandwhiches are pretty decent. The buy one get one on all drinks makes it a cheap place to buy them for your whole group.

Wonderfully delicious Vietnamese soups, sandwiches and desserts, served in a casual no-frills setting. One of the best bargains in town, and they're open 24 hours a day! Order a tray of egg rolls for your next party and watch them instantly disappear.

I had the veggie Pho. I double checked, it is vegan. It has fake chicken in it which is why the broth tastes like chicken. It was DELICIOUS and very filling and only $7. Very nice and helpful staff.

I love this place. Great for cheap eats. I always ordered Chicken Salad for $4.50, it's healthy. The Chicken Pho is always on sale for $3.25, but does not have enough meat as I want. It's got pretty much everything. Pho, Bun, Cháo, Mì, Bánh Cuốn, chè, pretty muh like a restaurant combined with a to go fast food joint. Amazing. Open 24 hrs, buy two get one free sandwiches, buy one get one free milk teas. Chicken Porridge and Pork porridge are wonderful eat.

Fried rice is good. If it had more shrimp, it would be even better..

The best here are chicken pho, spring rolls, baguettes, and of course, cafe au lait. You can ask for white, dark, or combo chicken. The rolls come either with shrimps and pork, or just grilled pork. These are the best since they have lots of herbs in them. The baguettes have a section that buy 2 get 1 free. If you order to go, have them put the condiments separate. And last but most important, don't forget the fix for the day, espresso with condensed milk. You may want to ice it. The best!

My absolute favourite Bahn Mi. Being 24 hours and always fresh is very very important for me and well worth the drives I make in the dead of night. Snack availability varies so keep a look out!

The best place to get Vietnamese baguettes 24/7 hands down. Add fried eggs to your favorite sandwich and watch it explode with flavor! It's downright addictive.

Me and my business partner visiting the states from Taiwan so by at least twice a week to eat while working on project, the good is great and the staff are polite. I really enjoy this place.

Plenty of parking, open 24 hours,very good food for the affordable price. I enjoyed my pho. I will look forward to try the sandwhich next time.
