Best Western Surf City

This hotel was an unexpected gem! While the facade and surrounding area aren't the fanciest, the staff clearly take great pride in their hotel, as is evidenced by the adorable little fairy gardens and decorations hidden in the flower beds on the grounds (my kids were enthralled). The rooms are CLEAN! I am picky when it comes to cleanliness, and there was not a single crumb or dusty spot to be found. When we requested extra pillows they were brought to the room immediately and with clean, warm linens. The pool and jacuzzi are small, but again, very clean and perfect for my 2 little boys. The breakfasts were great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hidden treasure if you are looking for a family friendly, no-frills, but clean and well cared for hotel!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfy. The air conditioner worked well, but it was a bit noisy. The pool was awesome, especially on those hot days. But they didn't have any towels by the pool, so we had to use our own. Overall, it was a great place to relax and chill.

Room was clean and fresh. Internet worked well. Only minor issue was the TV was very pixelated on every channel! Made it difficult to watch.
Otherwise, everything was fine.

I stayed here for 3 nights and here’s how it went..First night my family and I checked in and got a room on the second floor A/C works great it is a little loud like a fan you plug in and turn on high, but it wasn’t a problem tho since I can’t sleep in silence. The room was very clean and spacious I did have a problem with hearing people above me. It sounded like kids and the mom yelled at them to knock it off, since that I haven’t heard anything else. It’s a really nice area I’m traveling with a 10 month old and he slept perfectly fine, I feel safe here with him. The second day we left early to go to Disney and came back around 11pm we had no problems with loud noise and slept great! We woke up and went down for some breakfast the options are a little bit small but honestly it was really good. Last night we had no noise complaints from upstairs people and we woke up and got breakfast again. We checked out already it was super easy and my $100 deposit is already being sent back. All the workers were nice I recommend staying here. It’s also right next to a daycare and there is no smoking anywhere near the building or else you get fined.

Nice clean rooms, big fridge with small freezer. Good breakfast buffet. Really nice people and beautifully maintained property. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nice. We stayed a night before we went on. It was cozy. The bed was soft. Pillows were fluffy. Breakfast had good choices.... Rooms were clean...

Friendly staff and the free home made breakfast is the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel and I live in Las Vegas.
Hot tub was great and you can tell this place is well managed.

I had a small incident happen with my car and the staff was extreme accommodating and understaing. Everything was handled quickly and professionally. Really appreciate Krissy and Kim for great customer service.

The rooms are big and very clean, and breakfast is great as well!

Best on Beach Blvd in the best city in the nation. Very well managed with friendly staff. A place to spend your money and feel good about it. Very updated as well.

I flew in from Texas and stayed here for two days and was pleasantly surprised. I read negative reviews and had second thoughts about staying here however I had a good stay. My room was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, AC worked great and the staff was helpful, attentive and polite.

Total value for your money. Basic hotel/motel but staff was EXCELLENT. I really need to applaud the front desk clerk, Chrissy. She was super helpful in booking my reservation and holding 2 extra rooms for our friends. And she for us all adjoining rooms. 5 star customer service!

Great stay. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Good location. Free to-go breakfast daily (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, muffin, yogurt, orange juice, coffee). As others have noted, if you have a multi-day stay they do not do housekeeping unless you request it, which was fine for us. You can put your trash outside your room as needed. They will deliver additional towels whenever requested or you can pick up more at the front desk. On-site staff was friendly and responsive. Overall a great value. I will stay here again!

We loved the place! Under 10 minutes to the beach and a nice bar next door! The bed was super comfy and the place was updated and clean. We checked in past midnight and had no issues, even found parking easily. The only negative thing I could say is the 10am wakeup call to remind you to be out by 11am. After getting in late we did not appreciate that. We can well read the time. If it's 10 minutes till 11 or 11 on the dot that's more understandable, not an hour though. That was the only thing we REALLY didn't like.

When I say looks are deceiving that's what I mean. From the outside it looks pretty run down but once you get into your room you will feel like you are in a five star hotel. The beds are amazing and I don't say that lightly. It's like sleeping on a cloud to be honest. The front desk staff is very helpful and very friendly. We needed some things printed and they were more than helpful. Plus we needed to park our work truck in the parking lot a few hours after we checked out and they were very accommodating.

We arrived early Christmas day. The parking lot looked full. The young lady at the front desk made an inquiry to find out if a room had already been cleaned that we could check in to so early. We were lucky. We had not stayed at this location for quite a while and were very pleasantly surprised that we ended up in a room that had been refurbished and was so nice. Don't know if other rooms are as nice. The location was perfect for visiting with family in the area. Breakfast was good with the typical breakfast items one would expect. We will return here, in particular, for the convenience of the location.
