Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation (SCAR)

I have been going to SCAR for almost one year. To me, it feels like a second home. I had my shoulder surgery in April of 2023, Liz has been helping me get better throughout all these months, she's nothing less than amazing. She's great, very knowledgeable, kind, patient and a good listener. Of course, the rest of the staff and the young ladies at the front desk are great and helpful. I totally appreciate everything they have done for me. Everyone knows me by my first name and greet me with friendly smiles. I'm going to miss this place when I'm finished with my therapy

I am seeing great improvement since my surgery six weeks ago and coming to scar. Liz is , Works with me to my limit and does not push me above that. She also adds new exercises with weekly that I can do at home to help strengthen my arm. She is very knowledgeable at what she does.
Jasmine is also awesome. She has helped me with the sign in process and getting the appointments and times that I wanted. I have no complaints about anyone or anything about scar

Sports Conditioning and Rehab is a hands on place where they spend time stretching and working on muscles instead of just doing exercises. The people who work there are very good at providing relief and giving advice. I work with Max who is capable, on time, and fun. I have been to many places and this one is by far the best.

When I need physical therapy, I always call SCAR. I followed Jim Herkimer to SCAR after his excellent care for my daughter’s sprained ankle over 20 years ago. Knowledgeable and effective.

David, my PT, is great! He’s up to date with my therapy exercises, he interacts and asks questions. He explains the what he is doing and how it improves my injury. He’s friendly and professional and is genuinely interested in helping me get better. Also kudos to Celeste and Sherla(?) for being friendly and professional as well. I feel I’m in the best PT center in Orange County! Great staff! Clean facility!

Overall atmosphere is upbeat and positive. therapists seem to be setting the tone, enjoying their work and like the iudea of helkping folks with affirmaties.. As a group, they seem very professional yet personable. LVE

The care and community my family has experienced at SCAR is beyond exceptional. Jim and Jeff developed unique care plans for three of us going through orthopedic issues in the last 12+ months. The providers and assistants are thorough and engaged. In addition, I have been seeing Margaret for physical training over the last year. She has carefully helped me regain strength and confidence following multiple injuries. Margaret's knowledge of the body and genuine interest in her client's well-being show in her daily decisions and actions. To top off the experience, the support staff at SCAR are friendly and helpful. The gym at SCAR is a hidden gem!

I first started going to SCAR for back issues, on and off, over 10 years ago, and am currently back to treat elbow tendinitis. This is hands down the best place for go for Physical Therapy in Orange County. The group of Physical Therapists and team staff are the very best. They listen and care Thank you Team SCAR! The people at SCARs are very professional, courteous, considerate, knowledgeable and the atmosphere is positive and encouraging. I can't say enough about the excellent service and thoughtfulness of the people that have been assigned to me. I highly recommend these folks for any physical conditioning issue.

Having SCAR on my team has been critical to my successful recovery from multiple injuries and surgeries. They also provide the highest quality strength and conditioning that apply to specific sports as well as all ages. I have recommended them to several family and friends who have all had very positive results.

The P.T.s are well educated, professional and caring. The entire staff is very friendly. They genuinely care about your well being and go to great lengths to help you reach your goals. My doctors prefer me to use SCAR and I am so happy they referred me. I have been to many other physical therapy clinics and none have gotten me the results and pain relief the therapists at SCAR have achieved.

I was referred to SCAR after being ran over by an SUV and fracturing my spine in 4 places. I’ve been working with David for a few months now, and I never could have imagined the progress I’ve made with his help. David takes the time to listen to your concerns every visit, always asking how I feel between visits and switching up the routine if necessary. He built me a custom plan that met the very specific needs of my work requirements, and I’m happy to say I went from barely being able to stand for an hour to jogging with a weighted vest. There’s definitely more work to be done, but I’m amazed with my progress so far, and I attribute it to the SCAR team.

Came in to SCAR because arthritis in my spine was causing pain in my back when I walked. The PT they have me doing is definitely having a positive impact, my back pain is basically gone when I walk. My intern Chloe was the person who taught me the things to do when walking that keeps the pain at bay. The therapists at SCAR really know their stuff and are very good at what they do-I highly recommend them.

Been going to SCAR for 15 years have always been treated exceptionally well.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my physical therapy with the Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation (SCAR) team in Orange and specifically Brent Talley. He’s been extremely attentive in understanding the issue I’m dealing with (shoulder) and providing the needed care, advice, and treatment for my long term health and success. He’s easy to talk to (one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met) AND HE LISTENS … that’s key! I really appreciate him.

The entire team there is really nice. I had an opportunity to speak with the SCAR CEO (Jim) on my first visit and we talked about an elimination diet to help with some gut issues that I’ve been dealing with. He was very helpful and sent me details and a plan on the topic that day. The ladies upfront even refer to me by name - and that was just after Day 1 (which I hope is a good thing! 😜).

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of a great place for PT/rehab.

The physical therapists are wonderful. Mike and his strain-counter-strain technique relieve pain in such an amazing way. Jim is equally incredible with the knowledge he imparts and interest he takes in your life story. Everyone there I’ve met is kind, friendly and helpful. It’s my go to plaice for PT before any surgery or medication is prescribed. SCAR is by far the best.

I have been coming to SCAR off & on for years and find it to be the most patient focused facility. Other facilities are more like going to a gym.

My mother was referred to see physical therapist Elizabeth Cherry at SCAR by her orthopedic doctor for an injury that was not sports related. We have finished three sessions thus far and Elizabeth and the supporting staff have been excellent. She has a high level of knowledge, patience, care, and is very attentive to my mother's injury. She will pinpoint the exact area where the pain is coming from and work on it from there. During each session my mother receives very soothing massage techniques by Elizabeth and is taught several exercises to help rehab the injured body part. We very much look forward to continuing to see my mother's recovery through this physical therapy over the next couple of weeks. I highly recommend SCAR and Elizabeth Cherry even for physical injuries that are not sports related. It is also nice to see that they always disinfect their equipment after each patient visit.

Jim Herkimer is one of the best PT you will ever find. His depth of knowledge and ability to problem solve and correct and guide is the best I have experienced. Plus the organization of SCAR and all of the support staff are terrific. Thank you SCAR and thank you Jim.
