Sonesta ES Suites Huntington Beach Fountain Valley

Great location right off the I405. Anything we asked for was provided to us. Ground floor, extra towels, extra linens... Great staff. Grounds were nice with the exception of the dog owners that refused to clean up after their animals. Beautiful flowers littered the property. Great hot breakfast every morning. No complaints at all

This is like a small apartment. Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and living room. Only minor complaint is bed leaves my back sore in the mornings. Everyone else loves them, but I always tend to wake up sore from hotel beds.

Spacious! Very nice service. Wonderful area to visit so many great restaurants too.

This was the first time I stayed at this hotel, and I was a bit concerned after reading all the reviews. One of my clients booked me here for two nights, and it actually was good. I'm not sure how someone got a smoking room here because it is a no smoking hotel. The rooms were clean and large. I got a Kong bed room that had a pull out couch. There are two different locations as well. One is called Sonesta Suites, and the other is Sonesta Select. These two hotels used to be in the Marriott family of a Fairfield Inn and Residence Inn years ago when I visited Huntington Beach. The only thing I would say is that house keeling still needs to come in every day and replace coffee, cups, and towels. I had to go down to the front desk to request more items for my room during my stay. Also, there is no complimentary breakfast here. It is a small little spot that serves coffer and small sandwiches and muffins. It might be better to go offsite or order in. The staff on arrivals was nice, and I even asked her about the negative reviews they had on Google, but were unaware of them and reassured me that no rooms would smell like smoke. The hotel is right off the freeway with really no views and can be very loud sometimes if you have your window open. The weather was amazing when I was there, so I kept my windo cracked the entire stay. There is plenty of parking around the premise and 3 gas stations across the street.

Loved staying here for a week... actually hated to leave as it felt like "home". Grounds, breakfast buffet, staff, service ALL WONDERFUL!

Our family of 3 stayed for 2 weeks on a recent trip to So Cal.
The location for our needs was perfect, only a 20 minute drive to Disneyland!
The room was great and beds comfortable.
The free breakfast was a bonus.
Staff helpful and very attentive.
Great place to base yourself if visiting the area.
There's a great Chinese/Thai restaurant just across the street if you get stuck for dinner!

First time staying here and it was a great experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was large with everything you could need for the kitchen. Very nice outdoor area with a fire pit, grill, and pool. Good location and pet friendly! My dog is usually a little nervous when away but she felt right at home at this hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Front desk staff and housekeeping are SO nice and helpful. The entire staff has amazing customer service! Our room is so nice, very clean with great amenities. Our dog loves her walks since the grounds are beautiful, clean and they have made it so pet friendly offering dog waste bags. We have another week left and thankful we found a safe and nice place to stay during a stressful time of moving between homes. Highly recommend staying here!

Stayed here after a fire at my apartment. Cleaning staff were great. Front desk staff was very attentive. And my room was really nice. Beds are terrible, it's like sleeping on metal springs. The reason I gave this hotel 5 stars was because of how amazing the staff were during their afternoon guest mixers. Joe, Rhonda, and Giselle we're all amazing wonderful people. I would suffer through another night on the mattress just to know there are amazing employees willing to take care of your every need. Highly recommend. Just think it's time to upgrade/replace the mattresses.

Very good value. It’s a Residence Inn clone. Beds were very comfortable, full size fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher.
Pet friendly and abundant parking space.
Breakfast included, nothing great, but in line with the price range.

Amazing! I had no idea this place existed. I happened upon it using the "Hot Rate" deals on Hotwire and got this hotel. It's not a hotel, it's a small apartment! It's amazing! Literally EVERYTHING you need is in the room (except food of course) and only 15 minutes to the ocean! It has a dish washer, full refrigerator, two burner stove, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, dishes pots and pans, silverwear, cleaning products for dishes and kitchen. A pull out couch, an office area, a TV that swivels to view from anywhere(AND it allows you to connect to your home services like Netflix, and Pandora). It gas a low flow toilet, nice shower with shampoo, conditioner, & body wash pumps on the wall. An iron, ironing board, extra sheets and blankets for the pull out couch bed, hair dryer, hangers, extra toilet paper and tissues. I mean everything! It has a FIREPLACE! Too hot to use for us as it was mid August but I can't wait to come back in the winter. It has a pool, a nice hot tub, bathrooms near the pool. A laundry facility, beautiful landscaping, a commons area with fire pits and a nice grill all very well lit. Only two floors of rooms unfortunately no elevators but they were very accommodating and switched our room to a ground floor one.
Most importantly the bed was SOOO comfortable!! And it was all VERY clean! Like we noticed it smelled of lemon cleaner when we walked it. We also appreciated the ample parking so we were able to park near out room. This would be especially perfect for anyone with children.

Update: sorry yes this review was meant for someone else. But we did love the residence inn. Friendly staff, nice and clean, great breakfast, not far from the beach and convenient to the freeway.
We went to a concert in the showroom. Nice and small and intimate and the sound was surprisingly good. We sat in the booth near the back. The front rows were folding chairs not sure how comfortable they would be. Huge parking lot with shuttles to the entrance if you need it.

Beautiful suit with full kitchen, parking is very convenient and very close to any room you will book.
The free breakfast is not really breakfast It's mainly snacks with bottle of water, went during covid-19 so there was no buffet.
The room is really big with nice and new refrigerator, microwave and oven top.

The rooms are very spacious, the bed is comfortable, the staff is accommodating and friendly. The breakfast in the morning has a lot to offer and there is several utensils, etc in the rooms so you can cook for yourself. Downsides are cheap toilet paper, 2 tiny trash cans and white linens on the bed.

Staff was very courteous and kind, rooms are in good shape and kept clean. The location is easy to get to and convenient. The pool was a family favorite. They had a really great spread for breakfast- it exceeded my expectations for a complimentary breakfast.

Very nice place to stay. Staff is amazing and very friendly. Breakfast is very good. Lots of things to do, fire pit area is a very nice touch. Basketball court and a grill also. Great job!

Worker, George, I believe. Could not have provided better customer service. I had just ordered a new debit card and he worked with me and told me just to come right in and they’d take care of me and they did! The room was amazing like our own apartment. Amazing bed,great location. The pool and spa could use some sprucing but the breakfasts far made up
For it. My son still asks to to there for breakfast some Saturdays lol.

Great location. Suites were modern and very clean. I was very surprised that they even served free food with their happy hour, hamburgers were delicious. Outstanding Customer Service. I want to thank the staff for serving a great breakfast variety. My family really enjoyed the stay. I would definitely come back and recommend you guys.! We were visiting from Arizona.
